  I am on a team that is developing an OpenX plugin, and I am responsible for the UI. For example, I can use {if}, {foreach}, or {assign} tags without any problems. But whenever I try to use {html_select_date}, {html_image}, or {html_table}, I get the errors. In case this matters, the programmer who is designing the plugin copied the openXWorkflow plugin and made some changes. I noticed that the openXWorkflow plugin has a file (openx/plugins_repo/openXWorkflow/www/admin/plugins/openXWorkflow/library/OX/UI/Smarty/SmartyCompilerWithViewHelper.php) with a class that overrides the default Smarty compiler, supposedly with the ability to compile shorthands for calling ZF view helpers. That file has a list of Smarty functions, but the list is incomplete. If I add the functions to the list, or simply delete the file, my template works fine, but I don't like to change library files. It may make the app hard to maintain, and I don't know if it will mess up something else. The file has the comment "There is no easy access to the list of Smarty's built-in functions so we need to list them here. HTML-specific functions are not included as we cover HTML generation separately.", so it seems like certain Smarty functions may be disabled on purpose for some reason. Will anything bad happen if I try to use them? If, for example, I want to use the {html_select_date} tag in my template, how would I go about doing that? Keep in mind that much of this stuff is new and unfamiliar to me. This is my first time ever using OpenX or Smarty, and I only have a little bit of experience with the Zend framework. Please let me know if we are using the wrong approach.

• How to get an X11 Window from a Process ID ?

  Under Linux, my C++ application is using fork() and execv() to launch multiple instances of OpenOffice so as to view some powerpoint slide shows. This part works. Next I want to be able to move the OpenOffice windows to specific locations on the display. I can do that with the XMoveResizeWindow() function but I need to find the Window for each instance. I have the process ID of each instance, how can I find the X11 Window from that ? UPDATE - Thanks to Andy's suggestion, I have pulled this off. I'm posting the code here to share it with the Stack Overflow community. • wpf display staggered content

  I am trying to display a rather dynamic list of data in WPF. I have essentially a LineItem class that contains a list of strings and a line type. The line type separates different categories of line items. All line items with the same type should be displayed the same and their data should line up. For example, this list will contain an order summary. And the there will be a line type that represents something with a width and height. The width and height must line up vertically. However, there may be other line types that don't have to line up vertically. I want to produce a table similar to what you see below: ------------------------------------------------------------------ | some content here | some more content here | last content here | |----------------------------------------------------------------| | some content here | | last content here | |----------------------------------------------------------------| | spanning content that is longer then most | last content here | |----------------------------------------------------------------| | some content that can span a really long distance | ------------------------------------------------------------------ I attempted to do this by creating ListView with a single column that had a datatemplate that contained a grid with a fixed number of fields and then bind to the Colspan value. Unfortunately, this didn't work. I ended up with incorrect or overlapping content anytime I tried to do a column span. My intial plan was to create a factory and separate classes that display the data differently based on type. However, I'm struggling coming up with a strategy for this using MVVM as I really can't just build something and display it. I have toyed with the idea of making some kind of UI service class that is injected, but it would still require some pretty detailed UI information from the controller to do it's work.

• How to Bind a selected Item in a Listbox to a ItemsControl and ItemTemplate in WPF and C#

  All, LowDown: I am trying to create a Document Viewer in WPF. The layout is this: Left side is a full list box. On the right side is a Collection or an Items control. Inside the items control will be a collection of the "selected documents" in the list box. So A user can select multiple items in the list box and for each new item they select, they can add the item to the collection on the right. I want the collection to look like a image gallery that shows up in Google/Bing Image searches. Make sense? The problem I am having is I can't get the WPFPreviewer to bind correctly to the selected item in the list box under the itemscontrol. Side Note: The WPFPreviewer is something Micorosft puts out that allows us to preview documents. Other previewers can be built for all types of documents, but im going basic here until I get this working right.   Currently, I have this version of the autocomplete control working when returning XML from a .ashx handler.   Hey Everyone, I was wondering if anyone could look over a class I wrote, I am receiving generic warnings in Eclipse and I am just wondering if it could be cleaned up at all. All of the warnings I received are surrounded in ** in my code below. The class takes a list of strings in the form of (hh:mm AM/PM) and converts them into HourMinute objects in order to find the first time in the list that comes after the current time. I am also curious about if there are more efficient ways to do this. • Snake game, can't add new rectangles?

  I had seen some problem on other forum, and i tried to solve them but unsuccesfully, now is too intersting for me and i just need to solve this for my ego... lol Main problem is when snake eat first food, snake added one rectangle, when snake eat second food nothings changed? When snake head position and food position are same, then i try to add another rectangle, i have list where i stored rectangles coordinates x and y.   My goal is to "sum" two not compatible matrices (matrices with different dimensions) using (and preserving) row and column names. I've figured this approach: convert the matrices to data.table objects, join them and then sum columns vectors. • C# DotNetNuke Module: GridVIew AutoGenerateEditButton is skipping over a field on update.

  I have a GridView with an automatically generated Edit button. I wanted some customized behavior for the Image column, since I wanted it to be a drop down list of items as opposed to a simple input field, and I also wanted some nice "fallback" in case the value in the database didn't actually exist in the drop down list. With the code I have done so far, I have gotten the behavior I desire out of the Image field. The problem is that when i attempt to update that particular field, I get an error spit out back at me that it can't find a method to update the form with: ObjectDataSource 'objDataSource' could not find a non-generic method 'UpdateDiscovery' that has parameters: ModuleId, Visible, Position, Title, Link, ItemId. That's not good, because I DO have an UpdateDiscovery method. However, between Title and Link, there is supposed to be another param that belongs to the Image field, and it's not being passed. I realize that it's probably the update button doesn't know to pass that field, since it's a TemplateField and not a BoundField, and when I use Bind('image') as the selected value for the drop down list, it seems to update fine...but only as long as the field in the database when I try and edit the row actually exists, otherwise it bombs out and gives me an error about the value not existing in the drop down list.   I have 2 tables, devices which contains a list of devices and dev_tags, which contains a list of asset tags for these devices. The tables join on dev_serial_num, which is the primary key of neither table. The devices are unique on their ip_address field and they have a primary key identified by dev_id. The devices "age out" after 2 weeks. Therefore, the same piece of hardware can show up more than once in devices. I mention that to explain why there is a OneToMany relationship between dev_tags and devices where it seems that this should be a OneToOne relationship. • How to call virtual function of an object in C++

  I'm struggling with calling a virtual function in C++. I'm not experienced in C++, I mainly use C# and Java so I might have some delusions, but bear with me. I have to write a program where I have to avoid dynamic memory allocation if possible. There is no need for dynamic memory allocation, I can just write: List<Object> objects; MyObject obj; objects.add(obj); MyObject inherits form Object. Object has a virtual function which is supposed to be overridden in MyObject: struct Object { virtual float method(const Input& input) { return 0.0f; } }; struct MyObject: public Object { virtual float method(const Input& input) { return 1.0f; } }; I get the elements as: objects.get(0).method(asdf); The problem is that even though the first element is a MyObject, the Object's method function is called. I'm guessing there is something wrong with storing the object in an array of Objects without dynamically allocating memory for the MyObject, but I'm not sure. Is there a way to call MyObject's method function? How? It's supposed to be a heterogeneous collection btw, so that's why the inheritance is there in the first place. If there is no way to call the MyObject's method function, then how should I make my list in the first place?

  Hi there, I am fairly new to xslt (2.0) and am having some trouble with a tricky issue. In my xslt file I recursively check if all children of a p or div are other p's or div's and just promote them, other wise I use them as stand alone paragraphs. I extended this idea so that if a p or div with a child list show up properly but don't promote the list children. • Android map performance with > 800 overlays of KML data

  I have some a shape file which I have converted to a KML file that I wish to read coordinates from and then draw paths between the coordinates on a MapView. With the help of this great post: How to draw a path on a map using kml file? I have been able to read the the KML into an ArrayList of "Placemarks". This great blog post then showed how to take a list of GeoPoints and draw a path: http://djsolid.net/blog/android---draw-a-path-array-of-points-in-mapview The example in the above post only draws one path between some points however and since I have many more paths than that I am running into some performance problems. I'm currently adding a new RouteOverlay for each of the separate paths. This results in me having over 800 overlays when they have all been added. This has a performance hit and I would love some input on what I can do to improve it. Here are some options I have considered: Try to add all the points to a List which then can be passed into a class that will extend Overlay. In that new class perhaps it would be possible to add and draw the paths in a single Overlay layer? I'm not sure on how to implement this though since the paths are not always intersecting and they have different start and end points. At the moment I'm adding each path which has several points to it's own list and then I add that to an Overlay. That results in over 700 overlays... Simplify the KML or SHP. Instead of having over 700 different paths, perhaps there is someway to merge them into perhaps 100 paths or less? Since alot of paths are intersected at some point it should be possible to modify the original SHP file so that it merges all intersections. Since I have never worked with these kinds of files before I have not been able to find a way to do this in GQIS. If someone knows how to do this I would love for some input on that. I have a working solution, but the code to do it is way too complicated and circular I think: I have a timesheet application in MVC 2. I want to query the database that has the following tables (simplified): Project Task TimeSegment The relationships are as follows: A project can have many tasks and a task can have many timesegments. I need to be able to query this in different ways. An example is this: A View is a report that will show a list of projects in a table. Each project's tasks will be listed followed by a Sum of the number of hours worked on that task. The timesegment object is what holds the hours. I sense there must be a much easier way to achieve what I want. Basically you can tell from the View what I want to achieve: I want to get a collection of projects. Each project should have it's associated collection of tasks. And each task should have it's associated collection of timesegments for the specified date period. Note that the projects and tasks selected must also only be the projects and tasks that have the timesegments for this period. I don't want all projects and tasks that have no timesegments within this period. It seems the group by Linq query beginning the GetProjects() method sort of achieves this (if extended to have the conditions for date and so on), but I can't return this and pass it to the view, because it is an anonymous object. I also tried creating a specific type in such a query, but couldn't wrap my head around that either... I hope there is something I'm missing and there is some easier way to achieve this, because I need to be able to do several other different queries as well eventually. I also don't really like the way I solved it with the "CurrentTimeSegments" properties and so on. These properties don't really exist on the model objects in the first place, I added them in partial classes to have somewhere to put the filtered results for each part of the nested object chain... Any ideas?

• How do you import CA certificates onto an Android phone?

  Hi all, I want to connect to my University's wireless using my Nexus One. When I go to "Add Wi-Fi network" in Wireless Settings I fill in the Network SSID and select 802.1x Enterprise for the security and fill everything out. The problem is that our university's wireless uses Thawte Premium Server CA certificate for certification. When I click the drop down list for CA certificate I get nothing in the list (just N/A) Now I have the certificate (Thawte Premium Server CA.pem) and have moved it to my SD card, but it doesn't look like Android automatically detects it. Where should I put the certificate so that the Android wireless manager recognizes it. In other words, how can I import a CA certificate so that Android recognizes that it is on the phone and displays it in the CA Certificate drop down list. Thanks for any help, Tomek P.S. My phone is not rooted EDIT: After doing some research it looks like you are able to install certificates by going to your phone's settings Location & Security Install from SD card Unfortunately it looks like the only accepted file extension is .p12. It does not look like there is a way to import .cer or .pem files (which are the only two files that come with the Thawte certificates) at this moment. It does look like you can use a converter to convert your .cer or .pem files to .p12, however a key file is needed. https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-converter.html I do not know where to get this key file for the Thawte certificates.

• Remove Kernel Lock from Unmounted Mass Storage USB Device from the Command Line in Linux

  I've searched high and low, and can't figure this one out. I have a older Olympus Camera (2001 or so). When I plug in the USB connection, I get the following log output: $ dmesg | grep sd [20047.625076] sd 21:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg7 type 0 [20047.627922] sd 21:0:0:0: [sdg] Attached SCSI removable disk Secondly, the drive is not mounted in the FS, but when I run gphoto2 I get the following error: $ gphoto2 --list-config *** Error *** An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not lock the device'): Camera is already in use. *** Error (-60: 'Could not lock the device') *** What command will unmount the drive. For example in Nautilus, I can right click and select "Safely Remove Device". After doing that, the /dev/sg7 and /dev/sdg devices are removed.
