  • Show Visual Studio's Source Control Merge Wizard programmatically

    Hi, I'm developing a Work item Custom Control and I need to use the standard VS's Merge Wizard for items in source control from my code to allow to user choose the target branch, resolve conflicts etc. I'm pretty sure it's possible in some way (even through the reflection), but I just can't find the proper class in any of VS client assemblies (Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Controls.dll, Microsoft.TeamFoundation.VersionControl.Client.dll).     Hi Friends, I have a html page with 4 iframes out of these 4 one is a static html page and other 3 are html generated by flex. I have a button and list in one of the flex applications and the list will be populated on click of the button. Now what I want is to have a custom busy cursor to appear on the top of the whole html page until the list gets populated. Please tell me if its possible with an example.     Are there any downsides to UPX-ing my 32-bit Python 2.6.4 development environment EXE/PYD/DLL files? The reason I'm asking is that I frequently use a custom PY2EXE script that UPX's copies of these files on every build. Yes, I could get fancy and try to cache UPXed files, but I think a simpler, safer, and higher performance solution would be for me to just UPX my Python 2.6.4 directory once and be done with it.   • How do I remove (or apply) transparency on a gdk-pixbuf?

    I have a c++ program in which a gdk-pixbuf is created. I want to output it as an image, so I call gdk_pixbuf_save_to_stream(pixbuf,stream,type,NULL,&err,NULL). This works fine when "type" is png or tiff, but with jpeg or bmp it just produces a black square. The original pixbuf consists of black-on-transparent (and gdk_pixbuf_get_has_alpha returns true) so I'm guessing that the problem is with the alpha mask. GdkPixbuf has a function to add an alpha channel, but I can't see one that removes it again, or (which might be as good) to invert it. Is there a simple way to get the jpeg and bmp formats to work properly? (I should say that I'm very new to proper programming like this.)

  • How do I create an 8-bit PNG with transparency from an NSBitmapImageRep?

    I have a 32-bit NSBitmapImageRep which has an alpha channel with essentially 1-bit values (the pixels are either on or off). I want to save this bitmap to an 8-bit PNG file with transparency. If I use the -representationUsingType:properties: method of NSBitmapImageRep and pass in NSPNGFileType, a 32-bit PNG is created, which is not what I want. I know that 8-bit PNGs can be read, they open in Preview with no problems, but is it possible to write this type of PNG file using any built-in Mac OS X APIs? I'm happy to drop down to Core Image or even QuickTime if necessary. A cursory examination of the CGImage docs didn't reveal anything obvious. EDIT: I've started a bounty on this question, if someone can provide working source code that takes a 32-bit NSBitmapImageRep and writes a 256-color PNG with 1-bit transparency, it's yours.

    Why is the setContextClassLoader() method placed on thread ? What different thread have different classloaders? The question is what if i extended a classloader , loaded there some new classes. to the my custom classloader. Now , I want it to be the context classloader , so I call the method (Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(loader)). Are these new classes awailable only in the context of the current Thread ? ( or how does it work ?) Thanks

  • Simple but efficient way to store a series of small changes to an image?

    I have a series of images. Each one is typically (but not always) similar to the previous one, with 3 or 4 small rectangular regions updated. I need to record these changes using a minimum of disk space. The source images are not compressed, but I would like the deltas to be compressed. I need to be able to recreate the images exactly as input (so a lossy video codec is not appropriate.) I am thinking of something along the lines of: Composite the new image with a negative of the old image Save the composited image in any common format that can compress using RLE (probably PNG.) Recreate the second image by compositing the previous image with the delta. Although the images have an alpha channel, I can ignore it for the purposes of this function. Is there an easy-to-implement algorithm or free Java library with this capability?

    Using Grails 1.2.2, I'm working on binding a structured property (CC expiration Date) to a java.util.Date but only for specific Domain and Commands objects. I've found the StructuredPropertyEditor interface, but the only way that I've found to register it is to use the PropertyEditorRegistrar and register the editor for the java.util.Date class (much like this example) I don't want all of my dates to use my custom StructuredPropertyEditor. How do I apply the StructuredPropertyEditor selectively to specific targets like certain Command & Domain Classes?

  • Lot of time spent with following waits 'SQL*Net message from client' and 'wait for unread message on

    My application that wraps around Oracle Data pump's executables IMPDP and EXPDP takes random amounts of time for the same work. On further investigation, I see it waiting for again random amounts of time with the event 'wait for unread message on broadcast channel'. This makes the application take anytime b/w 10 minutes to over an hour for the same work. I fail to understand if this has something to do with the way my application uses these executables, or it has got something to do with Load on my server or something totally alien to me.

  • Is there a way to export reports from Microsoft CRM4?

    I'm setting up a proper dev environment for my client (dev/qa/stage/prod). I'd like to find a way to export reports so we can cleanly move from one environment to the next. Custom RDL type reports are easy (just import the RDL in the next environment), but the reports that are built inside CRM don't appear to export anywhere. Am I missing something?     I'm creating a ASP.NET MVC website and I was wandering which techniques do you guys use to protect primary key on these mvc urls. Actually ASP.NET MVC generates this syntax for its urls: /Controller/Action/Id Last week I was trying to encrypt it using SHA-1 Encryption, but this encrypter generates some special symbols like + (plus), / (slash), and other annoying chars which difficult the decryption. Perhaps creating a custom encryption should solve the problem. But I wanna here from you guys, do you have some ideas to protect mvc urls?

  • Which GUI toolkit would you use for a touchscreen interface?

    The only experience I have so far with a touchscreen interface was one where everything was custom drawn, and I get the feeling it's not the most efficient way of doing it (even the most basic layout change is hell to make). I know plenty of GUI toolkits intended at keyboard & mouse interfaces, but can you advise something suited for touchscreens? Target platform is Windows, but cross-platform would be nice.
