  • Retrieve input entered in a JDialog

    I extended JDialog to create a custom dialog where the user must fill some fields : How should I retrieve the data entered ? I came up with a solution that works. It mimics JOptionPane but the way I do it looks ugly to me because of the static fields involved...   • XML Table layout? Two EQUAL-width rows filled with equally width buttons??

    Hi heres a part from my XML for LAND format: <TableLayout android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_gravity="center" android:stretchColumns="*"> <TableRow> <Button android:id="@+id/countbutton" android:text="@string/plus1"/> <Button android:id="@+id/resetbutton" android:text="@string/reset" /> </TableRow> </TableLayout> And now what I dont get - the WIDTH of one row and also of the button depends on the TEXT inside the button. If the both texts are equaly long lets say : TEXT its ok - the table half is in the middle of the screen. But if they have different size - lets say "A" and "THIS IS THE LONG BUTTON" the CENTER of the table isnt in the middle of the screen anymore and so the buttons are not equally width... Cant find any solution... Please advise... Thank you Oliver Goossens

  • Undefined reference to cmph functions even after installing cpmh library

    I am using gcc 4.4.3 on ubuntu. I installed cmph library tools 0.9-1 using command sudo apt-get install libcmph-tools Now, when I tried to compile example program vector_adapter_ex1.c , gcc is able to detect cmph.h library in its include file but is showing multiple errors like vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0x93): undefined reference to cmph_io_vector_adapter' vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0xa3): undefined reference tocmph_config_new' vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0xbb): undefined reference to cmph_config_set_algo' vector_adapter_ex1.c:(.text+0xcf): undefined reference tocmph_config_set_mphf_fd' even though, these are all defined in the source code of the cmph library. Could anyone tell the error that might have occurred or suggest an alternate method to go about building minimal perfect hash functions.

    Hi I cannot seem to bind a command to a button.I have a treeview on the left showing Country City etc.. And I tabcontrol on the right. do I This uses 4 viewModels rootviewModel-ContinentViewModel-CountryViewModel-CityViewModel What I am building is based on http://www.codeproject.com/KB/WPF/TreeViewWithViewModel.aspx Now on one of the tabs I have a Toolbar with a button "TestButton" that I have mapped in zaml. This does not fire! The reason is not firing is because I m binding the RootViewModel but the command that is bound in zaml is in the cityViewModel. How Do I pass the datacontext from one view to the other? or how do I make the button fire. I need the command to be in the cityViewModel. Any Suggestions on how I bind it? For example i want to save each parameter into a String array. So i'd like: contentScriptType="text/ecmascript" width="1024" zoomAndPan="magnify" contentStyleType="text/css" viewBox="0 0 1024 768" height="768" etc etc to be saved into a string array, is there anyway to do this using the split method, or can anybody suggest an easier, more efficient way to do this?

    Anyone want to take a stab at why this bookmarklet fails in IE8? It turns all text uppercase in Friefox and Safari. But in IE8, it simply stalls with "loading..." I've enabled scriplets and the security settings in IE8. Sample of my code is like this: string str1 = Server.HtmlEncode(TextBox1.Text); Response.Write(Server.HtmlDecode(str1)); If user entered text with 2 paragraphs, str1 shows characters \r\n\r\n between paragraphs. but when it writes it to screen, just append 2nd paragraph with 1st. While I'm decoding it, why doesn't it print 2 paragraphs?

However I can't seem to get the vertnavdown class to inherit right, and the .vertnav li a:visited overrides it every time. if I use !important to force it through I can't seem to also get the hover to work. Any suggestions?     Anyone know why CSS provides "color:" for text, but does not have "font-color:" or "text-color:"? Seems very counter-intuitive.. kind of like "text-decoration: bold" rather than "font-style: ".     Didnt notice this being asked so here i am. I have a problem with specific registry key: NvCplDaemon"="RUNDLL32.EXE C:\\Windows\\system32\\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup" Problem is that i have tried many variations of the reg file like: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "NvCplDaemon"=-"RUNDLL32.EXE C:\\Windows\\system32\\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup" and Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "NvCplDaemon"=-"RUNDLL32.EXE C:\\Windows\\system32\\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup" And they all seemingly complete but the key remains.It is not locked or something.I can delete and recreate it manually any time.Im guessing there is some small spelling error on my file because i think i have followed MS instructions: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310516 This is how it looks in Registry: Someone?

    Hello everybody. I am trying to use JavaScript to start a marquee when a user puts their name into a textbox and then clicks a button. I've got an idea as to how to do it, but my script never fully works. Any help is appreciated!   • Using Java PDFBox library to write Russian PDF

    Hello , I am using a Java library called PDFBox trying to write text to a PDF. It works perfect for English text, but when i tried to write Russian text inside the PDF the letters appeared so strange. It seems the problem is in the font used, but i am not so sure about that, so i hope if anyone could guide me through this. Here is the important code lines : PDTrueTypeFont font = PDTrueTypeFont.loadTTF( pdfFile, new File( "fonts/VREMACCI.TTF" ) ); // Windows Russian font imported to write the Russian text. font.setEncoding( new WinAnsiEncoding() ); // Define the Encoding used in writing. // Some code here to open the PDF & define a new page. contentStream.drawString( "??????? ????????????" ); // Write the Russian text. The WinAnsiEncoding source code is : Click here --------------------- Edit on 18 November 2009 After some investigation, i am now sure it is an Encoding problem, this could be solved by defining my own Encoding using the helpful PDFBox class called DictionaryEncoding. I am not sure how to use it, but here is what i have tried until now : COSDictionary cosDic = new COSDictionary(); cosDic.setString( COSName.getPDFName("Ercyrillic"), "0420 " ); // Russian letter. font.setEncoding( new DictionaryEncoding( cosDic ) ); This does not work, as it seems i am filling the dictionary in a wrong way, when i write a PDF page using this it appears blank.
