    I have made application in which I have kept calendar,now I need that if admin changes his calendar and if it is affected to user and if that user is currently looking that calendar then whatever changes Admin has done that should reflect to user without refreshing the page, just like when email comes to Gmail then without refreshing we can see the inbox marked as unread... SO to implement that what should I do? I am using J-query for user interface and Python as back-end?????

Sender is CLIENT at 127.0.0.1:2680 Packet ID:0-1 POST /yada/yada HTTP/1.1 Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8 SoapCompressed: true Accept-Encoding: gzip,gzip;q=1.0, identity; q=0.5, *;q=0 SOAPAction: "" Accept: */* User-Agent: Apache CXF 2.2 Cache-Control: no-cache Pragma: no-cache Host: localhost:9090 Connection: keep-alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked I'd like to turn SoapCompressed off in my dev environment so that I can see the SOAP on the wire. I've searched Google and grepped the CXF source code, but don't see anything in the docs or code that reference this. Any idea how to make the client send "SoapCompressed: off" instead, without routing it through Apache HTTPD or the like? Is there a way to configure it at the CXF client, in other words?

    Let me preface this by saying that I am still pretty new to SOAP and how things should work. I'm working with the Vertical Response API. I'm having trouble getting suds to construct the xml correctly for a request. Since you have to define the buffer size when building the program, but a message can be arbitrarily large, how do you, say, get the mail server to send it to you in parts? And if this isn't the correct means of solving the problem, what is? And while I'm here, can anyone confirm for me that RFC 2822 is still the current document defining email layout? Thanks

    Why default factory WON'T return full name of the controllers (with namespaces)? This creates a problem when I try to regiser controllers' names for dependency injection. Here is how I register controllers right now according to this situation. Even this brings up the pages without exception.   • The server method xxx failed (asp.net ajax)

    I have a website project, that is working fine. However every once a while certain ajax pages (that make calls to a webservice) throw a "the server method xxx failed". I have ELMAH installed, however do not see any stacktrace or anything. The worst is that I can not reproduce the error locally. I just get an email notification from ELMAH.   • Should I use my models in a library?

    I've got my auth library in codeigniter which accesses the database to check to see if the email/password combination is correct. If I'm sticking to the MVC practice, should I move the function that interacts with the database to my model, or is it best practice to leave it where it is so I can use it in the future? Doesn't make much difference to me, other than the fact I'd have to re-write the library and create the function in my model, but if that's the way it should be then so be it.

I see it everywhere in Rails: class User < ActiveRecord::Base or… ActionController::Routing::Routes.draw do |map| I found a definition from this guy: The :: is a unary operator that allows: constants, instance methods and class methods defined within a class or module, to be accessed from anywhere outside the class or module. but that just leads to more questions. What good is scope (private, protected) if you can just use :: to expose anything?

    I have written something like this pretty easily in C# (string GetUrl(new { controller = "foo", action = "bar", baz = "fnord" }), based on the existing capabilities of the XmlRouteCollection class provided by the ASP.NET MVC framework (why it isn't there out of the box is beyond me; the additional required code was trivial). I am now faced with a JSP project, and I need the same ability: centralize the logic for generating all URLs in one place, based on a list of routing rules. Is there some code somewhere I could reuse/adapt to do this in Java? It seems like a common enough requirement, but google proved surprisingly unhelpful in finding something like this.

  • Why do I get HTTP Code 414 on one network but not another?

    I have an otherwise working iPhone program. A recent change means that it generates some very long URLs (over 4000 characters sometimes) which I know isn't a great idea and I know how to fix -- that's not what I'm asking here. The curious thing is that when I make the connection using a 3G network (Vodafone UK) I get this HTTP "414 Request-URI Too Long" error but when I connect using my local WiFi connection it works just fine. Why would I get different results using different types of network? Could they be routing requests to different servers depending on where the connection originates? Or is there something else at stake here? The corollary questions relate to how common this is. Is it likely to happen whenever I use a cell network or just some networks?
