• How do I copy input from one textbox to another via checkbox using jQuery?

  I'm cleaning up a simple form that has a Start Date textbox and an End Date textbox. I want to add a checkbox in between these fields that the user can check if the End Date is the same as the Start Date, so when they check it, the Start Date input value (e.g., 04/01/09) will automagically appear in the End Date textbox, so they don't have to type in the same date twice. Does that make sense? BTW, I'm using the sexy jquery datepicker UI, and it's sweet, but I just can't figure out the above problem. I know there's a simple solution (event handler?) but I'm stumped.

  Hi all, My current project for work involves developing a SharePoint 2007 WebPart which will be deployed by our clients. To provide a better user experience, I am "simulating" AJAX via setting the SRC attirbute of an IFRAME to be the address of an HTTP handler. These handlers are deployed to the layouts directory in the 12 hive. Although this works, I would prefer to use the $get() method of jQuery. Will this work reliably in my scenario or will I still be subject to the same origin policy? What about the scenario where the WebPart is being deployed to various places on a SharePoint farm? Will there be any problems with using $get() in that case? Thank you!

  I have no problems getting the Json to work and parse the json return. I was just wondering how I could build a dynamic "whatever data is" and stick it into [data] to pass my parameters from there and not manually append them to the url. From jquery website example: $.getJSON("test.js", { name: "John", time: "2pm" }, function(json){ alert("JSON Data: " + json.users[3].name); }); I thought I could build a string ( which doesn't make sense anyway ) and drop it inside the { }, but I obviously don't understand that part. name: isn't a string and you can't put a variable in that part, so how would I dynamically put items into whatever [data] is.

  Hola, I have an app i'm building in c#, and i'd like to have the ability to have a user click a "more information" icon next to a field, which will then show a callout with some blurb about why the field contains what it does. ideally it'd look a lot like the ValidatorCallout, but instead of being shown as a result of validation, it'll be shown as a result of a mouseclick, or hover.   hi guys, im working with the jquery ui draggable plugin and i have an html 5 video element with "preload controls" that acts kind of buggy. I $(".thumb").draggable(); if i drag the video by clicking on the video controls and i'm releasing the mouse again, the video still sticks with the mouse. <div class='thumb video'><video width='260' height='200' preload controls> i have no chance to release the video again if i started draggin it at the video controls. any idea how i could fix this! i probaply should script my own video controls to fix this.

  Hi, I discovered that .attr() only applies to the first matched element on the page! So, I've been trying to get the hrefs from all the matched elements on a page, but to no avail. Here's what I tentatively wrote: var thelinks = $("td a").each(function(){ $(this).attr("href"); document.write(thelinks); }); I used document.write just to see what was going on, and I got a long list of "undefinedundefinedundefined" What I'm trying to do is extract the hrefs from each td a and then use ajax to visit those pages and do other stuff. I can get it work fine when it's dealing with just one link, but this multiple elements thing I can't figure out. Any help rendered is appreciated, I'm a novice to the world of Javascript and Jquery.

• How can I implement a "wizard" style page using JQuery?

  I am implementing a questionnaire on the web and I'd like for each block of questions to have its own "page" so the user doesn't have to scroll. However, page loads have two problems: a) they take time (and have a noticeable flicker/refresh) and b) such an approach would force me to do a data table insert plus multiple updates (or store it all in my session). How can I use JQuery to let the user page through the questionnaire on the client side, answering questions as he goes? I'll then be able to handle the data store when all the answers are submitted at the end. One other thing...is there a way to make sure that the session doesn't time out if the user takes awhile?

  I'm trying to draw a button using jQuery SVG, the button is a filled rect and the text is placed on top of the rect. Rect and text are grouped and I want to control the mouseover/mouseout events. The problem is: mouseover/mouseout events are triggered separately for every element of the group. Is it possible to make a single event handler for entire group?   Ive searched this site but questions are usually regarding doing client-side validations or for different frameworks. I have a tasks list whose items can be edited inline. Upon submitting the inline edit form the item is updated all thanks to jQuery, ajax and rails. But I want to handle bad input from the user. HTML requests redisplay the view and errors are displayed thanks to rails helpers. But how do I insert that information after an ajax call? On that page you can see a drop-down box under Order Information, Product. I want to remove the prices from all the options that contain them in that box, so get rid of " - $75.98" for example. • Remote Ajax Call in jQuery .click() function doesn't finish before going to next page.

  I need to send click information on my website to a third party server using ajax (json). I am using jquery and I added the click event to certain links. In the click event I am making a json request to a remote server with the location of the click (heat map) and some other information. The problem is that the ajax function doesn't fire in time before the default link action happens. Setting async to false doesn't seem to work on remote ajax calls. I have tried preventDefault(), but then I don't know how to run the default action after the successful ajax call.   Hi, I have a JQuery dialog that requires the user to enter certain information. In this form I have a "continue" button. I would like this "continue" button to only be enabled once all the fields have content in them else it will remain disabled.   I have a html page with 10 columns but I don't have show all in same page instead I have to show only 4 column moreover I have to render those column on a button click call add column. What is the best approach to render 1-4 column first ? Fist column render first and on clicking button say add will render 2nd column , than 3rd and fourth. Now when i will load 5th column ...I will have to hide 1st column so that i will accommodate 4 columns but data inside that column will stay ....my limit is to show 4 column at a time and hiding leftmost .... any helpful javascript or jquery advice will be appreciated ..thanks!
