• Powershell call web service on new email event (Exchange 2010)

  I have Exchange 2010 and I need to run a process using web services against every new email to come in to a mailbox. The process will basically add the email to an internal task list. Can I use Powershell for this? Having never used Powershell before I don't really have a clue on it's capabilities. If not can anyone suggest another way of doing this other than monitoring the mailbox every X seconds. Really I'd like it event based so if no new mail then no processing. Cheers, Mike

Each method in there related to generating graphs has the suffix "Graph" in the method name. As we have some performance issues, I try to render the graphs in advance (using cron) instead of rendering them on each request. Anyone can come up with a solution to this? I tried to pass by reference or switch a few things around (like re declare the Filer model, $current_filer = new Filer($id); and unset() it again after the request, but resulted in the same error) without much success. The referenced method "humanize" isn't used for anything I'm doing at the moment, but belongs to the Model because it's used in several other places. Of course, removing the method is not really an option right now, and the model contains several other methods as well so I assume if I just move the humanize method around, it will generate an error on the next one.   I want to have a link in the popup.html file for my extension that loads another file (which will be included with the extension) how can I do this? or will I need to keep it in the same page? I tried using this code: <a href="/mail.html"> <img id="newmail_icon" src="" width="16" height="16" /> <span id="newmail">loading</span><br /> </a> But when I click the link nothing happens. I just found out that adding target="_blank" to the link will make it work and open in a new tab, but I can't get it to open in the popup. I have tried target="_self" but it didn't do anything.

• Using a bookmarklet to track a package

  I'm trying to write a bookmarklet that tracks a package in the mail. First it checks to see if the tracking page is open, if not it opens it in a new tab, and then sets the value of the form to the tracking number. Finally, it submits the form. What I'm so far unable to do is set the value of the form in the case where the bookmarklet opens up a new tab.   Hi, I have an app where we want users to be able to send us email/info. This would be a standard template which will open up on a button click within the app. I am struggling at the moment to find a legit way to do it. The problem is there are 2 things I need. 1) A way to let users send email to me 2) A way of knowing the person sending me mail is actually someone who has downloaded my app. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this? Does apple give us information/user id's or email id's of poeple who have downloaded the app? Many thanks in advance for any help with this.. PB

• What are good hosting companies for PHP 5.3 Mysql / CouchDb / MongoDB Dev ( Lithium / CakePHP Framew

  I am looking for a quality reliable host for some lithium development. I don't mind a shared platform as long as I have some ssh access. I require php 5.3.x, Mysql 5.x, and the usual imageMagick etc. Non-relational DB support up front would be nice but if they let me set one up myself I would be okay with doing it. I don't need a lot in the way of control panel tools. Good ones are appreciated but bad ones I would prefer not to even deal with. I don't anticipate needing much in the way of email but mail support would be nice to have. Cost isn't a big issue. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg but don't mind paying for what I need. Good support and decent uptime would be nice but I don't need an SLO or anything.

  I've made sure that all the files are in the root of the repository as recommended in this discussion. However, as I follow the instructions in this section of the book, I can't get through the section without the problems. What do you think is happening with my system that's causing the error? • Limitation of Attachment size when using SMTP

  Hi, I wrote a C++ program to send a mail using SMTP. But when I attach any files I notices that a single file's size always is limited to 808 bytes. As an example if I send a text file with 10 KBs, when I download the attachment it has only text worth 808 bytes. If the large file is a zip file, it gets corrupted in unzipping obviously due to CRC failure. I used a MAPI library to send larger files without a problem. Is this a network limitation of SMTP? Can someone please explain why this is happening?? Thank You!!!

One question I wanted to verify (I think I know the answer, but I can't find verification online) - does the DataType DataAnnotation perform regular expression checks to ensure that you have received a valid e-mail/phone/currency/etc?   The normal flow for resetting a user's password by mail is this: Generate a random string and store it in a database table Email string to user User clicks on link containing string String is validated against database; if it matches, user's pw is reset However, maintaining a table and expiring old strings etc seems like a bit of an unnecessary hassle. Are there any obvious flaws in this alternative approach? Generate a MD5 hash of the user's existing password Email hash string to user User clicks on link containing string String is validated by hashing existing pw again; if it matches, user's pw is reset Note that the user's password is already stored in a hashed and salted form, and I'm just hashing it once more to get a unique but repeatable string. And yes, there is one obvious "flaw": the reset link thus generated will not expire until the user changes their password (clicks the link). I don't really see why this would be a problem though -- if the mailbox is compromised, the user is screwed anyway.

  After hearing about git commit hooks, I was thinking maybe there are such things as email hooks... Is it possible for me to build a program that says "hey, you just received an email, now run this ruby script"? Something like a GMail Web Hook. Is there anything out there like that? I mean I could build a cron thing that checked my email all the time, but maybe there's a more formal way. Looking for an online email system to do this with, not say my Mac Mail.

• image problem with dreamweaver

  i'm trying to create a newsletter in a single html file, which will be loaded into outlook express and sent out as a mail. i have like a few images embedded onto the html file but 2 of them cant be loaded for preview in design mode. there is no problem for the rest of the images. those images that cant be loaded has the grey color icon. the directory for the images are the same. i have copied and pasted the absolute directory for the images that cant load and it doesnt work. the images loads fine when executed from the html file that was uploaded to the webserver. i need to get the newsletter out tomorrow, any assistance here? thanks in advance.

• SQL Access INSERT INTO Autonumber Field

  I'm trying to make a visual basic application which is connected to a Microsoft Access Database using OLEDB. Inside my database I have a user table with the following layout ID - Autonumber Username - Text Password - Text Email - Text To insert data into the table I use the following query INSERT INTO Users (Username, Password, Email) VALUES ('004606', 'Password', '[email protected]') However I seem to get an error with this statement and according to VB it's a syntax error. But then I tried to use the following query INSERT INTO Users (Username) Values ('004606') This query seemed to work absolutely fine... So the problem is I can insert into just one field but not all 3 (excluding the ID field because it's an autonumber). Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

• How to programmatically add mailbox alias on an Exchange 2007 server from C# web app?

  As the subject says, I have a C# web application (.NET 3.5) that's communicating with an Exchange 2007 server. What I need help with is to programmatically (preferably from the web app itself) add a new mailbox alias to a certain mailbox and then before sending out the mail set the new alias as the reply-to address. I'm fairly new to scripting, but from what I've read so far, most people seem to be suggesting the Exchange Powershell to accomplish this. Any hints towards a third-part API that would solve this would be appreciated. I've looked at the EWS API but from what I've seen so far it doesn't look like that's what I'm looking for.

• installing glassfish on ubuntu karmic using synaptics package manager

  I'm trying to learn to use glassfish for the first time. My IDE is netbeans and I've installed the glassfish plugin for netbeans. I opened up synaptics package manager and typed in glassfish. My choices were imqv2 glassfish-activaton glassfish-mail glassfish-appserv glassfish-toplink-essentials glassfish-jmac-api glassfish-javaee I'm not sure what is in each package, or which package are needed. I can't seem to find anything that tells me anything descriptive about these packages. I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to install glassfish, but I'd prefer to use apt-get / synaptics to install glassfish so that syntactics can take care of updating.

• My site was recently attacked. What do I do?

  This is a first for me. One of the sites I run was recently attacked. Not at all an intelligent attack - pure brute force - hit every page and every non-page with every extension possible. Posted with garbage data to every form and tried to post to some random urls too. All tod, 16000 requests in one hour. What should I do to prevent/alert this kind of behavior? Is there a way to limit the request/hr for a given ip/client? Is there a place I should be reporting the user to? They appear to be from China and did leave what seems like a valid e-mail.

• receive emails in a .NET service (C#)

  Hi, this is my first posting on stackoverflow, so don't flame me too much ;) I'm building a service that's monitoring devices and should be able to receive emails from users, parse them and take action accordingly. It should also be able to send emails about the status of the devices, etc. I'll be using Windows.Live email, and as I said, a .NET service that should be able to send/recieve emails. I am wondering what kind of system would I need to cater for receiving the emails, as I already know how to send them via the System.net.Mail API. Thanks. • How would you implement database updates via email?

  I'm building a public website which has its own domain name with pop/smtp mail services. I'm considering giving users the option to update their data via email - something similar to the functionality found in Flickr or Blogger where you email posts to a special email address. The email data is then processed and stored in the underlying database for the website. I'm using ASP.NET and SQL Server and using a shared hosting service. Any ideas how one would implement this, or if it's even possible using shared hosting? Thanks

• Email form isn't sending

  Hi I have an email form that isn't sending out an email to the recipient or a copy to the client. The form can be found at www.kelcos.co.uk/contact and the files associated with this are: /index.php /jquery.js /sendemail.php /submitform.php /thanks.php /verify.php I have used this form on other websites http://www.bowlesgreen.co.uk/contact/ and http://www.arbortectreecare.co.uk/contact/ and it works fine - the only difference is that these other sites use my usual hosting provider and for the one that won't send I'm working through the clients hosting provider, which I can only presume is what is causing the problem. I have contacted the hosting and so far we have eliminated a few things such as: 'The limitation to our systems is that the emails sent using scripts will be blocked if they are not going to or coming from an email address setup on the web hosting account. - so I am now sending the form to an a kelcos.co.uk address, but still no joy. PHP/ASP was originally disabled, but now has been activated the mail() script is enabled I would really appreciated any advise any of you could offer. Thanks

• App crashes when adding array data to table cells

  I am trying to create a table view that loads a number of tweets into the table (one per cell etc). I am using NSXMLParser to get the information and have got as far as creating an array with the selection of tweets that I want. • Writing email sniffer

  Hello, I am interested in writing an email sniffer that saves all emails sent via web based clients to hd, but I can't work out how to do this. How can I catch HTTPS mail before it is encrypted? I would really appriciate some useful info. I cannot find anything information on the web. There's a program called HTTP Analyzer V5 that does the exact thing I want to make. How should I start? If I make a packet sniffer, it's useless because all data is encrypted. Is there any other option?

• Xhtml instead of Php?

  I want to develop a site that will allow be to publish information to users, and give them and opportunity to subscribe to a mailing list so they can be updated each time I make a change to the site. *Add new information, etc. I also would like for the users to be able to add comments about reviews posted, and give me suggestions...Things that will encourage user interaction I understand that this is possible with php... But I do not know php, and to learn and test it I apparently need a domain to begin with...etc. Is it possible that I use Xhtml/Html to get the same results? -- I know I can use the <a href="mailto:[email protected]"; subject="Email from Site user">Mail</a> but that would also leave my email open to spam...Any suggestions? And I do apologize if this question has been posted before, I did some research and found no such thing. All helpful responses are appreciated.
