• Maven 3 - duplicate declaration of version

  I just upgraded to m2eclipse version 0.10 which includes an embedded Maven 3 and I'm now getting the following error when trying to run a build. I've already set Maven-Installations to my Maven 2 installation, but it had no effect. How do I resolve this? [INFO] Scanning for projects...   I have a model like this: public PurchaseOrder { [Required] [StringLength(15)] public virtual string OrderNumber {get;set;} // etc. } When I submit an order from the view (using $.post, not input type=submit) it goes to my controller class: public class PurchaseOrderController { public JsonResult Save(PurchaseOrder order) { // TryUpdateModel(order); // commented out since modelstate.isvalid remains false anyway if (ModelState.IsValid) { // its never valid } } } ModelState.IsValid always returns false, with the error: "The Order Number field is required." But there is a value in this field (?? why) Why would it say "value is required" when it does have a value? Have I missed something? Is it because of the $.post instead of the submit? What can I do?   I'm trying to install said library for use with Python. I tried downloading the executable installer for Windows, which runs, but says it doesn't find a Python installation. Then tried registering (http://effbot.org/zone/python-register.htm) Python, but the script says it can't register (although the keys appear in my register). Then I tried downloading the source package: I run the setup.py build and it works, but when I run setup.py install it says the following: running install running build running build_py running build_ext building '_imaging' extension error: Unable to find vcvarsall.bat What can I do?

  Hello, I am writing an ASP.NET MVC 2.0 application which requires users to log in before placing a bid on an item. I am using an actionfilter to ensure that the user is logged in and, if not, send them to a login page and set the return url. Below is the code i use in my action filter. if (!filterContext.HttpContext.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated) { filterContext.Result = new RedirectResult(String.Concat("~/Account/LogOn","?ReturnUrl=",filterContext.HttpContext.Request.RawUrl)); return; } In my logon controller I validate the users credentials then sign them in and redirect to the return url FormsAuth.SignIn(userName, rememberMe); if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(returnUrl)) { return Redirect(returnUrl); } My problem is that this will always use a Get (HttpGet) request whereas my original submission was a post (HttpPost) and should always be a post. Can anyone suggest a way of passing this URL including the HttpMethod or any workaround to ensure that the correct HttpMethod is used? Thanks in advance, JP

• Maintain cookie session in Android

  Okay, I have an android application that has a form in it, two EditText, a spinner, and a login button. The user selects the service from the spinner, types in their user name and password, and clicks login. The data is sent via POST, a response is returned, it's handled, a new webview is launched, the html string generated form the response is loaded, and I have the home page of whatever service the user selected. That's all well and good. Now, when the user clicks on a link, the login info can't be found, and the page asks the user to login again. My login session is being dropped somewhere, and I'm not certain how to pass the info from the class that controls the main part of my app to the class that just launches the webview activity. It seems to work for one service I log into that I know keeps the cookies on the server (old, archaic, but it works and they don't want to change it.) The service I'm attempting now requires the user to keep cookies on their local machine, and it does not work with this setup. Any suggestions?

• Android "java.lang.noclassdeffounderror" exception

  Hello, I have a android webservice client application. I am trying to use the java standard WS library support. I have stripped the application down to the minimum, as shown below, to try and isolate the issue. I have included the java SE javax libraries in the java build pasth. When the android application tries to create the "service" object I get a "java.lang.noclassdeffounderror" exception. The two classes tempConvertSoap and TempConvet() are generated by wsimport. I am also using several libraries from javax.jws.. and javax.xml.ws.. Of course the application compiles without error and loads correctly. I know the application is running becouse my "try/catch" routine is successfully catching the error and printing it out. I have taken this same application and created a standard java client application and it works fine -- of course with all of the android stuff taken out. What would be a good debug strategy? What methods and techniques would you recommend I try and isolate the problem? I am thinking that there is some sort of Dalvik VM incompatibility that is causing the TempConvert class not to load. TempConvert is an interface class that references a lot of very tricky webservice attributes. Any help with debug strategies would be gladly appreciated. Thanks for the help, Steve

• jQuery AutoComplete select firing after change?

  I'm using the jQuery UI AutoComplete control (just updated to jQuery UI 1.8.1). Whenever the user leaves the text box, I want to set the contents of the text box to a known-good value and set a hidden ID field for the value that was selected. Additionally, I want the page to post back when the contents of the text box are changed. Currently, I am implementing this by having the autocomplete select event set the hidden id and then a change event on the text box which sets the textbox value and, if necessary, causes a post back. If the user just uses the keyboard, this works perfectly. You can type, use the up and down arrows to select a value and then tab to exit. The select event fires, the id is set and then the change event fires and the page posts back. If the user starts typing and then uses the mouse to pick from the autocomplete options though, the change event fires (as focus shifts to the autocomplete menu?) and the page posts back before the select event has a chance to set the ID. • Visual Studio 2010 and CrystalReports

  I have a dll build with target framework 3.5 that manage reports; this dll use the version 10.5.3700.0 of CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine Now, I have created a new wpf application based on .NET framework 4.0 and I added the report dll reference to project. I had to install the Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 library (http://www.businessobjects.com/jump/xi/crvs2010/default.asp) to build the application without errors...now it builds success, but the report print don't work. It's generate an error when set datasource...the message is: Unknown Query Engine Error Error in File C:\DOCUME~1\oli15\IMPOST~1\Temp\MyReport {4E514D0E-FC2C-4440-9B3C-11D2CA74895A}.rpt: ... • Silverlight Ftp Upload

  Hi I'm working on trying to ftp a file to the server through a silverlight application. Where the location to upload the file on server file system, exists outside the sandbox area for the web server. In this case the web server root exists at "C:\test\www\" and the location to upload the file will exist at "C:\User\Uploads". In this scenerio i'm not sure if Http POST will work (doesn't that use the web server root). I just need to upload the file selected by the user to a different location that may exist outside the sandbox. With silverlight i'm thinking sockets are my last option based on the limited port range for silverlight being 4502-4532. Can i do this using WebClient and Http POST? Can i make an ftp connection through silverlight or javascript?

• Wicket, Spring and Hibernate - Testing with Unitils - Error: Table not found in statement [select re

  Hi there. I've been following a tutorial and a sample application, namely 5 Days of Wicket - Writing the tests: http://www.mysticcoders.com/blog/2009/03/10/5-days-of-wicket-writing-the-tests/ I've set up my own little project with a simple shoutbox that saves messages to a database. I then wanted to set up a couple of tests that would make sure that if a message is stored in the database, the retrieved object would contain the exact same data. Upon running mvn test all my tests fail. The exception has been pasted in the first code box underneath. I've noticed that even though my unitils.properties says to use the 'hdqldb'-dialect, this message is still output in the console window when starting the tests: INFO - Dialect - Using dialect: org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect. I've added the entire dump from the console as well at the bottom of this post (which goes on for miles and miles :-)). • java.lang.ClassFormatError: Extra bytes at end of class file

  I'm getting an odd error when I try and run this program. The class compiles fine into multiple .class files and I compiled it last week (before editing it) just fine. But now, I see this: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassFormatError: Extra bytes at the end of class file blah/hooplah/fubar/nonsense/IndexId$Transaction From what I've looked up, Java 6 build 1.5 could fix it since it allows extra bytes at the end of class files (I think), but I would much rather use build 1.6. Any clear ideas on how this happened or how to fix it?

• MSBuild cannot find SGen when compiling a solution

  I've looked at several other SGen-related questions on here and either their answers don't apply or their answers don't fix this for me. I have installed several SDKs to fix this issue with no luck. Reference types should not be changed since this is the only place this is a problem. Once suggestion is to put SGen.exe into the C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5 folder, but that's not been done on the box where this is not a problem. In this scenario, SGen.exe actually exists and is right where it's supposed to be, but MSBuild still is having issues with finding it for some reason! Background: We have a NAnt script that automates our builds. In this scenario, NAnt is calling MSBuild and MSBuild is generating the error claiming to be unable to find SGen. The project is .NET 3.5-based. I have my primary dev environment (64-bit Vista Ultimate) where the script works perfectly and I am attempting to duplicate it in a VM (64-bit Win 7 Ultimate). I THINK I have everything to the point where I should be good-to-go but this fails on the Win7 box (works perfectly on the Vista box). I have done some comparisons between the two boxes and they both look identical in this regard, but it still fails. For example, the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework's sdkInstallRootv2.0 value is set to C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\v2.0 64bit\ on both machines. In both machines, SGen.exe is in that path's bin subdirectory.   Hi All, Please bear with me, newbie just learning the ropes. I am getting the below message, when I try and run my app, it quiets, but then does let me re-open fine after the first quit. I tried a few things and if I turn on if i 'activate breakpoints' it all works fine... • Change/check minimum iPhone OS for Universal apps?

  The dropdown in XCode shows a base SDK of 3.2, but my iPod Touch (2nd generation), running OS 3.1.3, will run the app just fine in debug mode. (Command + Return/Enter) What is the actual base SDK of my iPhone/iPod touch version of the app and how can I change this? Changing it by right clicking on the project name in the "Groups and Files" pane and changing "Base SDK" under the "Build", doesn't do much. Edit: While writing this question, I found that scrolling down in "Build" and changing "iPhone OS Deployment Target" seems to be what I'm looking for, I'm posting this anyway. Perhaps someone has more insight into this...

  I have an issue with log4net which has been bugging me for a while and I've resolved to sort it. I have a class library which references log4net. If I reference this class library in another project I must then reference log4net in this project otherwise I get a build error Unknown build error, 'Cannot resolve dependency to assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.10.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=1b44e1d426115821' because it has not been preloaded. When using the ReflectionOnly APIs, dependent assemblies must be pre-loaded or loaded on demand through the ReflectionOnlyAssemblyResolve event.' I'm aware that the error message is probably telling me the solution, unfortunately I don't speak gibberish... Cheers guys Alex..

• Multiple Silverlight Unit Test Projects in Solution

  I am building out a number of Silverlight 4.0 libraries that are part of the same solution. I like to break them into separate projects and have a Unit Test project for each: SolutionX -LibraryProject1 ---Class1.cs ---Class2.cs -LibraryProject1.Test ---Tests1.cs ---Tests2.cs -LibraryProject2 ---Class1.cs ---Class2.cs ---CLass3.cs -LibraryProject2.Test ---Tests1.cs ---Tests2.cs ---Tests3.cs -LibraryProject3 ---Class1.cs -LibraryProject3.Test ---Tests1.cs This works great when using VS regular test projects and infrastructure because I can create and execute list of test that are aggregated from each Test project. But with the Silverlight Unit Test Framework since the Silverlight Unit Test Project must be the "start up project" I cannot figure how to run a collection of tests from each test project in one go. I have to run each separately then switch the starting project each time. I would prefer to avoid create complex build scripts or build definitions - is there a way to run all the tests at once? -Thanks

• iPhone: Application Install Fails With "Invalid Signer" Error

  The iPhone is attached to a Mac runnning the latest iTunes version and I am 100% sure that her UDID is in the provisioning file. Her iPhone has not been jailbroken and we even restored it to factory settings. I am having trouble installing our development build on this one iPhone. The error is: the application "[Application Name]" was not installed on the iPhone "iPhone" because the signer is not valid I am 100% sure that the UDID is accurately entered in the provisioning file and that they correctly copied the right provision file/build combo. This same combo has been successfully installed on over a dozen iphones. We have been able to install this on some devices with no problems. Edit: From comments to an answer: We can install it on 100 iphone with our account. We have about 40 iphones in this provisioning profile and it works on 38 of them.

  Hi, I've been searching extensively for a possible solution to my error for the past 2 weeks. I have successfully installed the Cuda 64-bit compiler (tools) and SDK as well as the 64-bit version of Visual Studio Express 2008 and Windows 7 SDK with Framework 3.5. I'm using windows XP 64-bit. I have confirmed that VSE is able to compile in 64-bit as I have all of the 64-bit options available to me using the steps on the following website: (since Visual Express does not inherently include the 64-bit packages) http://jenshuebel.wordpress.com/2009/02/12/visual-c-2008-express-edition-and-64-bit-targets/ I have confirmed the 64-bit compile ability since the "x64" is available from the pull-down menu under "Tools-Options-VC++ Directories" and compiling in 64-bit does not result in the entire project being "skipped". I have included all the needed directories for 64-bit cuda tools, 64 SDK and Visual Express (\VC\bin\amd64).
