• Getting the id of child element based on the parents class name

  I am currently playing around with jqueries drag and drop, basically I currently have a div (.drag_check) that holds a checkbox, I have the drag and drop working but I want to alert out the checkbox's ID once the element is dropped, I assume I have to use child but all my attempts have returned 'undefined'. • Modify the Event Log Source name for an SSIS package

  I have an SQL Server integration Services (SSIS) package using the standard Event Log provider (yes, the event log! I know we can use SQL etc...) The default "Source" of the log events is "SQLISPackage100" but I want it to be something like "AppName" so that the errors are more visible between the different packages when viewing the event log (also for MOM use). Event Type: Error Event Source: SQLISPackage100 Event Category: None ... Description: Package "Foo" failed. I hope the answer is simple, I simply cannot find it, but does anyone know how to change the text of the Event Log Source name to something more meaningful? PK :-)

• Strange behaviour using Drag and Drop in word 2003 automation in headers

  Hi! I am developing a template based addin for Word 2003 which allows the user to drag and drop elements from a listbox into the word document. Unfortunately I'm getting a really strange behaviour when trying to drop elements in the document's header. Open the template and type something in the header Close the header and insert some content on the page Add a page break. Switch to page layout mode where and set zoom level to "Two Pages" Open the header Slowly Drag and Drop an list item from the list box to the header. See multiple Page Setups dialogs occur which cause Word to crash. • NSTableView Drag and Drop not working

  Hi, I'm trying to set up very basic drag and drop for my NSTableView. The table view has a single column (with a custom cell). The column is bound to an NSArrayController, and the array controller's content array is bound to an NSArray on my controller object. The data displays fine in the table. I connected the dataSource and delegate outlets of the table view to my controller object, and then implemented these methods: - (BOOL)tableView:(NSTableView *)aTableView writeRowsWithIndexes:(NSIndexSet *)rowIndexes toPasteboard:(NSPasteboard *)pboard { NSLog(@"dragging"); return YES; } - (NSDragOperation)tableView:(NSTableView*)tv validateDrop:(id <NSDraggingInfo>)info proposedRow:(NSInteger)row proposedDropOperation:(NSTableViewDropOperation)op { return NSDragOperationEvery; } - (BOOL)tableView:(NSTableView *)aTableView acceptDrop:(id <NSDraggingInfo>)info row:(NSInteger)row dropOperation:(NSTableViewDropOperation)operation { return YES; } I also registered the drag types in -awakeFromNib: #define MyDragType @"MyDragType" - (void)awakeFromNib { [super awakeFromNib]; [_myTable registerForDraggedTypes:[NSArray arrayWithObjects:MyDragType, nil]]; } The problem is that the -tableView:writeRowsWithIndexes:toPasteboard: method is never called. I've looked at a bunch of examples and I can't figure out anything I'm doing wrong. Could the problem be that I'm using a custom cell? Is there something I'm supposed to override in the cell subclass to enable this functionality? EDIT: Confirmed. Switching the custom cell for a regular NSTextFieldCell made dragging work. Now, how do I make drag and drop work with my custom cell?

  I want to catch itemEditEnd in a tree control, but i'm having a little trouble. And when I click rename in the context menu, this is what i'm doing (contextParentItem is the event catched on itemRollOver in the tree) : Tree( contextParentItem.target ).editedItemPosition = { columnIndex: 0, rowIndex: contextParentItem.rowIndex }; Thisway I can't catch the itemEditEnd event, but I want to handle some stuff, like: if the new entered value is an empty string, then I don't want to accept the new value if I hit ESC then, the old value should remain.

• SWT Drag and Drop support for Text widget

  I've written an application recently using SWT. In one of its dialog box, I have a few widgets, one of which is Text, which is designed to support DND with other widgets. I've first added DND support for the 2 Tree widgets on the same dialog box (both drag source and drop target). Before I added DND support for that Text widget, I noticed that on Linux platform (gtk), SWT Text widget automatically get drag and drop support. That is, I can already drag from the other Tree widgets and drop on this Text (at any position to inserted there), as well as selecting and dragging any text from this Text to other Tree or Text widget. However, this is only working on Linux platform but not on Windows. The same program, if running on Windows, will not have any DND support for that Text widget (Tree widgets of course have DND support since I specifically write for them). So here's what I want to achieve on Windows as well: drop text at any position in Text widget. before dropping and while hovering, able to see the caret position clearly where the intended position to drop. caret position should move along with the mouse cursor. support multi-line in Text widget SOLUTION: DropTarget target = new DropTarget(sytledText, DND.DROP_MOVE | DND.DROP_COPY); target.setTransfer(new Transfer[] { TextTransfer.getInstance() }); target.addDropListener(new StyleTextDropTargetEffect(sytledText)); Use StyledText instead of Text widget Use StyledTextDropTargetEffect (or extend it) and add it as dr op listener

• Trigger the change event of a textbox in jQuery

  I have an asp:TextBox with asp:RegularExpressionValidator to validate if it's a number. Obviously an onchange event will be attached to this textbox while rendering. Also I add a change event at $(document).ready to make some calculation when the value is changed. <asp:TextBox id="myText" runat="server" /> <asp:regularexpressionvalidator id="myRev" ControlToValidate="myText" runat="server">*</asp:regularexpressionvalidator> $(document).ready(function(){ $('[id$=myText]').bind('change',function(){ //do something }).change(); //force the change event at the very beginning }); My function will be executed later than the .net generated js because of the register time. But the .net js throws an error. I traced in the js: function ValidatorOnChange(event) { ... } and found that all of event.fromElement,event.toElement,event.srcElement are null which causes the exception. Did I do something wrong? • How to decide if a parameter is the click event

  I have a function which can be called by either a click event or directly. When I call it directly, I need pass it a data parameter, so I've defined the function to accept a parameter to account for the direct call with the parameter. function myFunc(param){ } Within the function, I need to differentiate whether the function was called directly or from the click event, so what I thought I could simply check if param is set. If it's set, then the function is called directly. If it's not set, then it's called from the click event. The problem is that a click event by default passes an event object. So even when the function is called by the click event, param won't be null. So is there a way to check whether the param passed is the click event?

  So I am playing audio file in Chrome and I want to detect when playing has ended so I can delete references to it. • Creating a level editor event system

  I'm designing a level editor for game, and I'm trying to create sort of an 'event' system so I can chain together things. If anyone has used RPG Maker, I'm trying to do similar to their system. Right now, I have an 'EventTemplate' class and a bunch of sub-classed 'EventNodes' which basically just contain properties of their data. Orginally, the IAction and IExecute interface performed logic but it was moved into a DLL to share between the two projects. Question: How can I abstract logic from data in this case? Is my model wrong? Isn't cast typing expensive to parse these actions all the time? Should I write a 'Processor' class to execute these all? But then these actions that can do all sorts of things need to interact with all sorts of sub-systems.

So far, to test this, I always end up doing something like : creating a 'stub' that implements both a addXXXXListener, that simply stores the callback, and a fireXXXX, that simply calls any registered listener. This is a bit tedious since you have to create the mock with the right interface, but that can do use an introspective framework that can 'spy' on a method, and inject the real dependency in tests Is there a cleaner way to do this kind of things ?

How can I get 3D coordinated from this? I have already looked gluProject and NeHe. But I dont know how to implement this in my project, it shows that there is no GLdouble,GLfloat class.
