  Hi There, I am trying to build a system that allows a user to select an image from their own computer, and crop it using the jCrop tool from jQuery. My question is can I show the image the user has selected from their system without uploading it to a system, I dont really want to do two uploads, unless I can do the first upload silently?   Hail all! I want to display notification and play custom sound on my Windows Mobile 5/6 device. I have tried something like that, but my custom sound does not play, though message is displayed with standart sound. If i edit Wave key in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Notifications{15F11F90-8A5F-454c-89FC-BA9B7AAB0CAD}] to sound file i need then it plays okay. But why there are flag NotificationAction.Sound and property UserNotification.Sound? It doesn't work. Also Vibration and Led don't work, if i use such flags.   My program checks to test if a word or phrase is a palindrome (reads the same both backward and forward, ex "racecar"). The issue I'm having is after someone enters in "racecar" getting it to actually test. In the below code, I marked where if I type in "racecar" and run, Java returns the correct answer so I know I'm right there. But what am I missing as far as entering it into the console. I think my code is ok, but maybe I have something missing or in the wrong spot? • Property being immediately reset by ApplicationSetting Property Binding

  I have a .net 2.0 windows application written in c#, which currently uses several project settings to store user configurations. The forms in the application are made up of lots of user controls, each of which have properties that need to be set to these project settings. Right now these settings are manually assigned to the user control properties. I was hoping to simplify the code by replacing the manual implementation with ApplicationSettings Property Bindings. However, my first property is not behaving properly at all. The setting is an integer, used to record a port number typed into a text box. The setting is bound to an integer property on a user control, and that property sets the Text property on a TextBox control. When I type a new value into the textbox at runtime, as soon as the textbox loses focus, it is immediately replaced by the original value. A breakpoint on the property shows that it is immediately setting the property to the setting from the properties collection after I set it. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong? • win7 amd64 guest in kvm does not have sound

  hi, my host system is gentoo amd64, guest system is win 7 amd64. the guest system can work, except it does not have sound. i start kvm with -soundhw ac97, QEMU_AUDIO_DRV='alsa', and after i get into the guest system, i can see a 'Multimedia Audio Controller' in the device manager. but win7 cannot find the driver for it. i searched the network for a long time, and i cannot find a driver for intel ac97 for win7 amd64. i also tried -soundhw sb16, es1370, none of them work. please help me fix this.

• My ashx stopped working (Works locally, but not online)

  i have a simple ASHX file that returns pictures upon request (mainly a counter), previously the code simply fetched pre-made pictures(already uploaded and available) and sent them to the requester.. i just modified the code,so it would take a base picture, do some modifications on it, save it to the server, then serve it to the user.. tested it locally and it worked like a charm. however when i uploaded the code to my hosting service (Godaddy..) it didnt work. Can someone point the problem out to me? Note: ASHX worked with me before,so i know the web.config and IIS are handling them properly, however i think i am missing something ..   I have a small program that is trying to wrap an NHibernate insert into an Informix database in a TransactionScope object using the Informix .NET Provider. I am getting the error specified below. The code without the TransactionScope object works -- including when the insert is wrapped in an NHibernate session transaction. Any ideas on what the problem is? BTW, without the EnterpriseServicesInterop, the Informix .NET Provider will not participate in a TransactionScope transaction (verified without NHibernate involved). • Why is ELMAH creating 2 reports for each error?

  I have setup ELMAH to create an XML log as well as send an email every time it encounters and unhandled exception in my ASP.NET MVC web application. However, creates 2 xml files for every error and sends to emails, seemingly identical each time. How do I stop this? My relevant web.config configuration sections are below. Since I use some Infragistics controls I have a licenses.licx file that turns into a "app_licenses.dll" assembly after publication. The problem is that this app_licenses.dll assembly does not comply with rule CA1016 (MarkAssembliesWithAssemblyVersion), and I should add an AssemblyVersion attribute to 'App_Licenses.dll'. • Code that Worked with MultiView fails with Wizard ASP.NET

  I originally created a process that occurred by transitioning between views in a multiview and it worked fine. Now, I've moved this same code into a ASP.NET Wizard and it keeps throwing an error at the second step. The error is: Method 'System.Object AndObject(System.Object, System.Object)' has no supported translation to SQL. Any ideas why this would occur when moving the code into the wizard?
