  Don't know the difference between the System.Window.Controls.TextBox and System.Windows.Forms.TextBox. Noticed that the System.Windows.Forms.TextBox can have InvokeRequried but System.Window.Controls.TextBox cannot. what's the counterpart of InvokeRequired for System.Window.Controls.TextBox? looks like if we have both using System.Window.Controls; and using System.Window.Forms; the code may conflict each other?

• What's the purpose of the rotate instructions (ROL, RCL on x86) ?

  I always wondered what's the purpose of the rotate instructions some CPUs have (ROL, RCL on x86, for example). What kind of software makes use of these instructions? I first thought they may be used for encryption/computing hash codes, but these libraries are written usually in C, which doesn't have operators that map to these instructions. Has anybody found an use for them? Why where they added to the instructions set?

  I would like to match any character and any whitespace except comma with regex. Only matching any character except comma gives me: [^,]* but I also want to match any whitespace characters, tabs, space, newline, etc. anywhere in the string. I think firstly, I should find all the functions that call SHA1 algorithm, and I should understand why SHA1 is still used.   I use doubles for a uniform implementation of some arithmetic calculations. These calculations may be actually applied to integers too, but there are no C++-like templates in Java and I don't want to duplicate the implementation code, so I simply use "double" version for ints. Does JVM spec guarantees the correctness of integer operations such a <=,=, +, -, *, and / (in case of remainder==0) when the operations are emulated as corresponding floating point ops? (Any integer, of course, has reasonable size to be represented in double's mantissa)
