    I'd assume that since the query language sits within the controller (typically) that it belongs to that component, but if I play devil's advocate I'd argue that the query language is execute within the domain of the model, and is tightly coupled to that component so it might also be a part of it. Anyone know the answer? Is there a straight answer or is it technology specific?

    How do I test to see if links are external or internal? Please note: I cannot hard code the local domain. I cannot test for "http". I could just as easily be linking to my own site with an http absolute link. I want to use jQuery / javascript, not css. I suspect the answer lies somewhere in location.href, but the solution evades me. Thanks!

    i would like to implement or add a facebook like button in my wordpress blog. But this time, i want it on my index file or in a multiple blog post. The problem is when I copy pasted what facebook is generating for me is it only "likes" my domain name or my index file, not the blog post which is suppose to be liked.     Objects oriented databases seem like a really cool idea to me, no need to worry about mapping your domain model to your database model, no messing around with sql or ORM tools. The way I understand it, relational DBs offer some advantages when there is massive amounts of data, and searching an indexing need to be done. To my mind 99% of websites are not massive, and enterprise issues never need to be thought about, so why arn't OO DBs more widely used?

    Hi i am trying to implement a web application in java using netbeans 6.8 all the time i try to run the project i get an error that points to build-impl.xml:632 if i try to debug i get an error that points at build-impl.xml:722 the error doesn tgive any clue(at least to me) it only says failed on GlassFish v3 Domain i haven t modified the file so i do not know what is going on any idea?     Not sure if it's possible but how do I read a resource from a url using javascript without ajax? for example, the following url is a static text file containing json encoded text http://mysite.s3.amazonaws.com/jsonencodedcontent.txt I'd like to use javascript to read the content from above link, read the json content into a javascript variable. I can't use ajax because of cross site and I have no control over amazon S3 domain. anyway to achieve this?

Therefore I only want my app to be able to access it. Can I just list a series of IP addresses for my app and allow them? Is there a better way to stop requests from anyone else to my API?

  • Incorrect Internal DNS Resolution

    I'm having a DNS issue. Server 2008 R2. The first clue was that after being off the network for a month, I could no longer Remote Desktop into my workstation by name, it wouldn't find it. Both via VPN and internally. But if I connect using its IP, that works. Now I notice in the server's Share and Storage Management, in Manage Sessions, it's displaying the incorrect computer name for some users. So I try, for one example: Ping -a 192.168.16.81 Pinging BOBS_COMPUTER.ourdomain.local [192.168.16.81] with 32 bytes of data: - replies all successful Then I try Ping RICHARDS_COMPUTER Pinging RICHARDS_COMPUTER.ourdomain.local [192.168.16.81] with 32 bytes of data: -all replies successful In DHCP, .81 belongs to RICHARDS_COMPUTER I did try flushdns. Not sure if this is related, apologies if it's not, but when I try to connect, I also get prompted: "The identity of the remote computer cannot be verified. Do you want to connect anyway? The remote computer could not be authenticated due to problems with its security certificate. It may be unsafe to proceed.." It then lists the correct name as the name in the certificate from the remote computer, but claims that the certificate is not from a trusted authority. Any thoughts are most appreciated!

    I uploaded my wordpress site from my Local host to a folder off my main domain (http://example.com/folder) using this tutorial http://www.webdesignerwall.com/tutorials/exporting-and-importing-wordpress/ (im working on a mac) Everything went ok - admin panel is fine homepage is fine etc - only any page apart from the homepage redirects to this (http://example.com/folder/pagename) except instead of showing the content from that page it shows the unstyled information from the index page of my main root (http://example.com/) What can I do to get this working?
