  • How to call SOAP web service in Android

    I am having a lot of trouble finding good information on how to call a standard SOAP/WSDL web service with Android. All I've been able to find are either very convoluted documents and references to "kSoap2" and then some bit about parsing it all manually with SAX. OK, that's fine, but it's 2008 so I figured there should be some good library for calling standard web services. The web service is just basically one created in NetBeans. I would like to have IDE support for generating the plumbing classes. I just need the easiest/most-elegant way to contact a WSDL based web service from an Android based phone.

    I'm my app I have an NSMutableArray, and each entry has an NSMutableDictionary with several Key-Value pairs. One of these pairs contains the date of the entry. For one of the functions of my app I need to determine which entries are exactly 1 week apart from each other (i.e from Sunday to Saturday) and sum the data from one of the Key-Value pairs for each day of that week. How should I go about doing this?

    Hey, folks. I'm looking for some regular expressions to help grab street addresses and phone numbers from free-form text (a la Gmail). Given some text: "John, I went to the store today, and it was awesome! Did you hear that they moved to 500 Green St.? ... Give me a call at +14252425424 when you get a chance." I'd like to be able to pull out: 500 Green St. (recognized as a street address) +14252425424 (recognized as a phone number) What makes this problem easier is that I don't care about parsing text that gets pulled out. That is, I don't care that Green is the name of the road or that 425 is the area code. I just want to grab strings that "look like" addresses or telephone numbers. Unfortunately, this needs to work internationally, as best as possible. Anyone have any leads? Thanks!

    Hello, For instance if I do something like: Criteria c = session.createCriteria(Book.class) .add(Expression.ge("release",reDate); .add(Expression.ge("price",price); .addOrder( Order.asc("date") ) .setFirstResult(0) .setMaxResults(10); c.list(); How can I use the same criteria instance, but remove (for example) the second criterion? I'm trying to build a dynamic query in which I'd like to let the user remove a filter, without the backend having to reconstruct the criteria from scratch. Thank you

    I need to loop through Components and assign an event handler (for example Dynamically assigning OnClick event for all TButton to ShowMessage('You clicked on ' + (Sender as TButton).Name); The problem is that in some cases I alreasy assigned the TButton OnClick event. Is there a way to solve the problem?     I am parsing pages using Simple DOM parser. It is neat, but I would like to get the applied css style for each element. Not only the inline styles, but every style it applies to that element, being it inline, in-page or external. Is there a class that does that? If not, how would you do it? I do not really care about overriding styles, cascade, or browser specific styles. Having all the directly applied styles would suffice.

    For some reason DOMParser is adding some additional #text elements for each newline \n for this url http://rt.com/Root.rss ...as well as many other RSS I've tried. I checked cnn/bbc feeds, they don't have newlines and dom parser handling them nicely. So I have to add the following before parsing it var xmlText = htmlText.replace(/\n[ ]*/g, ""); var xmlDoc = parser.parseFromString(xmlText, "text/xml"); Server is returning text/xml. var channel = xmlDoc.documentElement.childNodes[0]; this returning \n without my code above and channel with correction.
