  • PHP behaves weird, mixing up HTML markup.

    Thanks for looking on this problem. I have a page that is totally valid page, and there is a PHP loop that brings in a <li> for each entry of the table. When i check this page locally it looks 100% OK, but when veiwing the page online the left side bar (which creates this markup is broken randomly mixing <div>'s and <li>'s and i have no clue what the problem is.     I am trying to get to grips with BDD web development in Ruby using cucumber + capybara and I am stuck at what should be an easy task - just to check the number of rows in a table. Something along the lines of: page.should have_xpath("//table[@id='myTable']") find("//table[@id='myTable']/tr").length.should = 3 But this doesn't work and I can't find a way to assert against the table length. I am currently binding to the mousedown event of the dropdown and populating the options when the user clicks on it. Unfortunately the mousedown event fires when the user selects the option as well. If I can determine if the drop down is already displaying it's options, then I can skip populating the options.

    Hi people. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to do this one. Here's the scenario. My e-commerce site has a blog with a lot of content, promoting the products I sell, reviewing them etc. 99% of the posts on the blog link back to the products they are talking about. I'm going to be changing the URL where my ecommerce system is located. Therefore my blog is going to end up sending people to a lot of 404 pages. The idea I've had is to be able inclue a JS file which will on load, scan the document for existing links then, if found, swap them out with ones which are now correct. I hope this make sense.     Hello! Couple of questions regarding Twill and Mechanize: 1) Is Twill still relevant as a web-automation tool? If yes, then why is not currently maintained? If no, has Mechanize matured further to support Twill-style simple scripting? Or is there another package that has stepped up to fill the gap? 2) I was able to very quickly setup a couple of test suites in python using Twill, but I'm a little confused on how to access the information that Twill spits out in my python program. That is, I can do showforms() and see the form values neatly listed and I can use fv to update the form values and submit. But how do I access one of those form values as a python var?
