• Problems with Castle DynamicProxy2 on .Net 3.5 SP1 on Win2003 Server

  I've an mvc + nh asp.net application. On my dev machine (win 7 Ent) all works fine, if deployed on a Win 2k3 (tried 2 different vm and one phisical machine) I got the following error.. anyone can help? Cannot explain this issue (tried the same build, so i think it'a machine configuration issue)..   I'm using Kohana 3 and have a /doctrine/Entites folder with my entities inside. • Android Mediaplayer: setDataSource issue for downloaded media file

  I have an application that will record and play audio files. Some of the audio files are downloaded using simple standard http downloads using httpclient. It worked like a charm for a long time. Now all of a sudden I cannot play the files I download. It fails with this stack. I store the files on the SDCard and I experience the problem both on a handset and a USB connected device. I have checked that the downloaded file is cool on the server, and I can play it without any issues. • SQL 2008 R2 login/network issue

  I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 new clean install , not a VM, that I have added to a Windows Server 2003 based domain using my account which has domain admin rights. The domain functional level is 2003. I performed a clean install of SQL Server 2008 R2 using my account which has domain admin rights. The installation completed without any errors. I logged into SSMS locally and attempted to add another domain account by clicking Search, Advanced and finding the user in the domain. When I return to the "Dialog - New" window and click OK I receive the following error: Create failed for Login 'Domain\User'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo) An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) Windows NT user or group 'Domain\User' not found. Check the name again. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 15401) I have verified that the firewall is off, tried adding a different domain user, tried using SA to add a user, installed the hotfix for KB 976494 and verified that the Local Security Policy for Domain Member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel Domain Member: Digitally encrypt secure channel Domain Member: Digitally sign secure channel are disabled none of which have made a difference. I can RDP to a Server 2003 server running SQL 2008 and add the same domain user without issue. Also if I try to connect with SSMS to the sql server from another system on the domain using my account I get the following error: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452) and on the database server I see the following in the security event log: An account failed to log on. Subject: Security ID: NULL SID Account Name: - Account Domain: - Logon ID: 0x0 Logon Type: 3 Account For Which Logon Failed: Security ID: NULL SID Account Name: myUserName Account Domain: MYDOMAIN Failure Information: Failure Reason: An Error occured during Logon. • threaded serial port IOException when writing

  Hi, I'm trying to write a small application that simply reads data from a socket, extracts some information (two integers) from the data and sends the extracted information off on a serial port. The idea is that it should start and just keep going. In short, it works, but not for long. After a consistently short period I start to receive IOExceptions and socket receive buffer is swamped. The thread framework has been taken from the MSDN serial port example. The delay in send(), readThread.Join(), is an effort to delay read() in order to allow serial port interrupt processing a chance to occur, but I think I've misinterpreted the join function. I either need to sync the processes more effectively or throw some data away as it comes in off the socket, which would be fine. I'm sure that I'm just missing something really simple but I can't figure it out. I get a message that the image is being used by another process whenever I try to delete the original image to change it with another one dynamically. How do I release the image from the image control to be able to delete it.   I'm trying to write a Greasemonkey script to update the onclick value of a bunch of links on a page. The HTML looks like this: <a onclick="OpenGenericPopup('url-99.asp','popup',500,500,false)" href="javascript:void(0)">text</a> I need to update the url-99.asp part of the Javascript into something like urlB-99.asp.   Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way for a Java class to figure out if it is being used within an applet? That is, I have a library (a .jar file) that can be used by 3rd-party applications and applets. It does work within applets, but I'd like to do some things differently, depending on whether or not the library is used in an applet - like show applet-applicable errors, avoid local file I/O, etc. It would be nice if, say, Applet.getAppletContext() was static so that I could call it (and get NULL or not NULL) even if I don't have an applet instance, but alas, it isn't. Is there any other way?

  Here is my sample abstract singleton class: public abstract class A { protected static A instance; public static A getInstance() { return instance; } //...rest of my abstract methods... } And here is the concrete implementation: public class B extends A { private B() { } static { instance = new B(); } //...implementations of my abstract methods... } Unfortunately I can't get the static code in class B to execute, so the instance variable never gets set. I have tried this: Class c = B.class; A.getInstance() - returns null; and this ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader().loadClass("B"); A.getInstance() - return null; Running both these in the eclipse debugger the static code never gets executed. The only way I could find to get the static code executed is to change the accessibility on B's constructor to public, and to call it. I'm using sun-java6-jre on Ubuntu 32bit to run these tests.

• Core Text's CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints() returns incorrect size everytime

  According to the docs, CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints () "determines the frame size needed for a string range". Unfortunately the size returned by this function is never accurate. Here is what I am doing: NSAttributedString *string = [[[NSAttributedString alloc] initWithString:@"lorem ipsum" attributes:nil] autorelease]; CTFramesetterRef framesetter = CTFramesetterCreateWithAttributedString((CFAttributedStringRef) string); CGSize textSize = CTFramesetterSuggestFrameSizeWithConstraints(framesetter, CFRangeMake(0,0), NULL, CGSizeMake(rect.size.width, CGFLOAT_MAX), NULL); The returned size always has the correct width calculated, however the height is always slightly shorter than what is expected. Is this the correct way to use this method? Is there any other way to layout Core Text? Seems I am not the only one to run into problems with this method. • Silverlight RIA Services. Query fails on large table but works with Where clause

  I have a somewhat large table, maybe 2000 rows by 50 columns. When using the most basic imaginable RIA implementation. Create one-table Model Create DomainService Drop datagrid onto MainPage.xaml Drop datasource onto datagrid Ctrl-F5 I get this error: System.ServiceModel.DomainServices.Client.DomainOperationException: Load operation faild for query. Value cannot be null. Error is much larger, but thats the beginning of it. The weird thing is that if I narrow the results down with a where clause on the GetQuery, it works fine. In fact six different querys which together result in all of the rows being called works fine also. So basically, I'm sure its not some sort of rogue row. Why do I get this "Value cannot be null" error if I query the whole table? Thanks
