    Hi, I am new in iphone.I use a flag variable to play songs in avAudio player all songs are properly handeled with flag variable.we have two tabs in tab bar , i want that if any song playing then on other tab song info show.If we use that flag variable then i syncronize song info with song.But i can't access the value of flag on song info tab.I import the global file in song info file. Please Help me any one through which i define a global integer that var i can access in all project.

  • Replace a control on the screen

    Hello all, I have an instance of a FlowCoverView (a great library that emulates cover flow on the iPhone). And it works great, with the exception of an update. When I update my table behind the scenes, I have no way of telling this control (that is defined in IB) that it has been updated, and to reload. (much like you can with a table using reloadData) To the question, is there a way to replace a control that is on the screen with another control to force the reload?

  • Can the google map API return a street address that was clicked.

    Hi guys, I'm trying to work out an app design in my head and I would like the user to be able to click there destination address on the map of there area. If I know the user is in Liverpool is it possible to pop up the map over liverpool and then allow the user to select on the map where they wanna go, and the google map/api return the street or the name of the area? I've never used googlemap/api yet so just wondering if this kind of thing is possible on the iphone yet. Many Thanks -Code

  • Is it possible to turn a View-Based App into a navigation-Based App?

    I am close to finishing my first application (a UITableView style one) on the iphone but have realised it will look much better, and stand a far better chance of getting through the approval process, if it is presented as a navigation-based app rather than a view-based one - in hindsight my initial choice is not really suitable... Is it possible for me to somehow change easily the application into a new type, or would i be better starting again from scratch with all the hassle that would entail... thanks for any advice on how it may be done, karl

  • Most efficient way to animate a path?

    I have a fullscreen path which consists of about 20 lines. Currently I am animating changes in this path using an NSTimer which frequently calls -setNeedsDisplay. Believe me: Performance sucks absolutely. I slightly remember that there was some better way to animate paths on the iPhone. Some kind of special CA layer. I don't remember anymore it's exact name. Who knows?

    Hey group, first time posting here I am somewhat new to the JSON/PHP/mySQL world, but been around iPhone designing for the past few years, though this topic of conversation is a while new area I am entering. I have done JSON iPhone examples that allow me to create a UITableView and display the JSON data into the TableViewCells (CustomCells) and displays the data (NSDictionary)into UILabels The problem I am having now, is that I want an APP that displays this information from the JSON into just a couple of UILabel's on a regular UIViewController and not a UITableView any help would greatly be appreciated, the example I used and learned for JSON and UITABLE was from http://tempered.mobi/%20 I used that example from my app, but incorporated a few other things like CUSTOM cells however now when the USER selects the specific CELL I want it to load specific data from another JSON file, and cannot get it to load in a UILabel or UITextView in a UIViewController HELP :-)

    Hi, I implemented the gamekit. All works fine now. But if the user presses on send the data will instantly send to the other iphone/ipod/ipad and it will instantly written. So now i wanted to implemenr a confirm screen for the receiver. In my receiveData method (from the gamekit) i have an array.     Deleting or moving rows for a UITableView that is backed with local data (e.g., NSArray) is easy and instantaneous: Remove the value from the array. Call deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:withRowAnimation:. Profit! But my table view communicates with a web service, which means once the "Delete" button on that row gets tapped, I have to forward a request on to the server (via ASIHTTPRequest, of course), get the response, and then tell the table view to run its little delete-row animation, all with a few seconds of latency in between. From a high-level, what's the best way to do that? Throw some callback selector into ASIHTTPRequest's userInfo dictionary? KVO? Bonus points for some nice UI touch, like some kind of spinner on the soon-to-be-deleted cell.

    I am trying to apply a texture for my brush but i'm really having a hard time figuring how it is done. Here's the image of my output. I used an UIImage that just follows the touch on the screen but when i swipe it faster the result is on the right side "W", and on the left side that's the result when i swipe it slow. i tried using the CGContextMoveToPoint and CGContextAddLineToPoint i don't know how apply the texture. Is it possible to use UIImage for the stroke texture?
