    This is a follow up question to this question The solution to the above uses DWM to display a thumbnail of an active window. If I understand correctly, it works by letting you specify the window handle of the application you want to view and then having you provide a window handle and a location on that window where windows should draw the contents of the target Window. Is there a way to render the window screen shot directly to BitmapImage or Image instead of directly drawing it somewhere in your window? (Basically to just grab a screen shot of the window - even if it's covered by another window - with out using an updating thumbnail.) Thanks for you help!

    Hi, in my c++ software I've used Boost in some parts and also for the local time. OK, now my problem is to make a check if in my machine is active or not the DST. With the follow part of code I can know only the difference from the UTC time. In my case the difference is 2 hours because is active the DST ptime tLoc = second_clock::local_time(); ptime tUTC = second_clock::universal_time(); time_duration tDiff = tUTC - tLoc; local_time_zone = tDiff.hours(); I think that the boolean funcion has_dst() can help, right? My system is Debian GNU/Linux. Thanks

    I have a Backbone.js collection that I would like to be able to sort using jQuery UI's Sortable. Nothing fancy, I just have a list that I would like to be able to sort. The problem is that I'm not sure how to get the current order of items after being sorted and communicate that to the collection. Sortable can serialize itself, but that won't give me the model data I need to give to the collection. Ideally, I'd like to be able to just get an array of the current order of the models in the collection and use the reset method for the collection, but I'm not sure how to get the current order. Please share any ideas or examples for getting an array with the current model order.

I would like to save my project as an .ipa file (assuming it's .ipa for the iPad, like the iPhone) so I could send it to a friend with a Jailbroken iPad to test it on an actual device before I release it to the App Store.     Hi, I am trying to store a PNG image in a core data store backed by an sqlite database. Since I intend to use this database on an iPhone I can't store NSImage objects directly. I wanted to use bindings and an NSValueTransformer subclass to handle the transcoding from the NSImage (obtained by an Image well on my GUI) to an NSData containing the PNG binary representation of the image. I wrote the following code for the ValueTransformer : + (Class)transformedValueClass { return [NSImage class]; } + (BOOL)allowsReverseTransformation { return YES; } - (id)transformedValue:(id)value { if (value == nil) return nil; return [[[NSImage alloc] initWithData:value] autorelease]; } - (id)reverseTransformedValue:(id)value { if (value == nil) return nil; if(![value isKindOfClass:[NSImage class]]) { NSLog(@"Type mismatch. Expecting NSImage"); } NSBitmapImageRep *bits = [[value representations] objectAtIndex: 0]; NSData *data = [bits representationUsingType:NSPNGFileType properties:nil]; return data; } The model has a transformable property configured with this NSValueTransformer. In Interface Builder a table column and an image well are both bound to this property and both have the proper value transformer name (an image dropped in the image well shows up in the table column). The transformer is registered and called every time an image is added or a row is reloaded (checked with NSLog() calls). The problem arises when I am trying to save the managed objects. The console output shows the error message : [NSImage length]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x1004933a0 It seems like core data is using the value transformer to obtain the NSImage back from the NSData and then tries to save the NSImage instead of the NSData. There are probably workarounds such as the one presented in this post but I would really like to understand why my approach is flawn. Thanks in advance for your ideas and explanations.

    Developing with cakephp 1.3 (latest from github). There are 2 models bind with hasAndBelongsToMany: documents and tags. Document can have many tags in other words. I've add a new document submitting form there user can enter a list of tags separated with commas (new tag will be added, if not exist already). I looked at cakephp bakery 2.0 source code on github and found the solution.   • Resizing Images with ASP.NET and saving to Database

    I need to take an uploaded image, resize it, and save it to the database. Simple enough, except I don't have access to save any temp files to the server. I'm taking the image, resizing it as a Bitmap, and need to save it to a database field as the original image type (JPG for example). How can I get the FileBytes() like this, so I can save it to the database? Before I was using ImageUpload.FileBytes() but now that I'm resizing I'm dealing with Images and Bitmaps instead of FileUploads and can't seem find anything that will give me the bytes. Thanks!

    I'm after some advice in regards to handling nested form data and I would be ever so grateful for any insights. The trouble is I'm not 100% sure why I require the following code in my model accepts_nested_attributes_for :holiday_image, allow_destroy: true, :reject_if => lambda { |a| a[:title].blank? } If I don't understand why I require to tact on on my accepts_nested_attributes_for association: :reject_if => lambda { |a| a[:title].blank? } If I remove this :reject_if lambda, it will save a blank holiday photo object in the database. I presume because it takes the :title field from the form as an empty string? I guess my question is, am I doing this right or is there a better way of this this within nested forms if I want to extend my HolidayImage model to include more strings like description, notes? Sorry If I can't be more succinct. For example, to edit a question in a questionset, I imagine I should be able to just get the question via its id, change some values, and merge() it back in, but this doesn't work. I'm using Hibernate from Spring (appfuse), usually as detached objects.

I would like to remove this multiline part from head and place it in jeditable.js file, which is now empty. If I do copy/paste, then <% %> part won't be executed. In PHP I would save js file as jeditable.js.php and server would compile code that is in <?php ?> tag. Any ideas how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance, Ile
