  • Looking for a virtual network adapter (virtual interface controller)

    I need a software that simulates a network adapter. I need the virtual adapters will be able to communicate with each other. For example, if I i have 2 virtual adapter (on the same computer): interface1-1.1.1.1 and interface2-1.1.1.2. I want the packets that will be send through interface1 will be received in interface2. I have as an option to install VMWare server, but i prefer something more specific. anyone have ideas?

Access is denied The SQL service is running under "Network Service" account The service starts fine if I use the services window. Could somebody help me figure out why I am receiving this error?

When I want to log in using a local account, I have to figure out what the computer's name is, and log in using the following syntax: [COMPUTER_NAME]\local_account Now I'm wondering if there is an alias that I can use instead? So instead of logging in using NB-aw35sdds\local_account, I can use something like localhost\local_account.

    I've got a really nasty problem... I wrote a red5 app and so on and it is running perfectly on my local computer. Now the problem occurs = How can I make this program work on a remote server? Local : OSX 10.5 - red5 0.63 Server: CentOS 5 - red5 0.90 Maybe its because of the version difference... but I can't test red5 0.90 locally becaus it won't start up -.-' and I can't install the 0.63 on the server because of missing dependencies (and broken links to them...)

    Has anyone used Microsoft's UCMA 2.0 SDK to connect to 3CX's free IP PBX to add voice capabilities to their application? If so, does it work?     I have a simple small question which someone who knows will be able to answer easily, I searched google but couldn't find the answer. There are many programs running at once on a computer, and my question is: when a program loads a DLL, does it actually load the DLL file or does it find the memory in which the DLL is already loaded? For example, is ws2_32.dll (winsock 2) loaded for every program that uses winsock, or is it loaded once and all programs that use it use the same memory addresses to call the functions?

  • gcc segmentation fault compiling 20k file

    hi. I have fairly large file, 20k lines long (auto generated). It has been compiling okay, but after adding new if/endif preprocessor block, I started getting gcc internal errors: segmentation fault. the code inside new preprocessor block is not being compiled, so I am not sure where the error is coming from. my only guess is memory, but as far as I can tell it does not exhaust computer memory. Any thoughts?

  • MS Runtime required for app to run, how can I include with setup?

Is their a way to include that with the application to check for that component/resource or install it if it isn't?   • Threading cost - minimum execution time when threads would add speed

    I am working on a C# application that works with an array. It walks through it (meaning that at one time only a narrow part of the array is used). I am considering adding threads in it to make it perform faster (it runs on a dualcore computer). The problem is that I do not know if it would actually help, because threads cost something and this cost could easily be more than the parallel gain... So how do I determine if threading would help?

  • Highlight overlapping text in JQuery

    I've got this plain HTML: "Many things are in my room: a bed, a desk, and a computer." And these phrases: "things are" "are in my room" "room: a bed" In JQuery, is there some way to loop through the phrase list, and highlight the phrases as they appear in the text, and have the overlap delineated by color, or border, etc? I know there are simple highlighters but that won't do the trick. Maybe something with overlaying opacities? Thanks!
