• MySQL: NOW() giving me zeros

  I have a table which I want to record the timestamp of every order at every insertion time. However, I'm getting zero values for the timestamps. • How To Get YEARWEEK() To See Sunday As The Start Of The Week?

  I'm trying to get the YEARWEEK function to see Sunday as the 1st day of the week. An example date is: Sunday 1st Mar 2009 Here is my sql SELECT YEARWEEK('2009-03-01') and the result is - 200909 Which is week 9. I believe it is telling me this is week 9 because it sees the sunday as the last day of the previous week. How would I get this function to see sunday as the 1st day of the week and therefore return as week 10?

  Since this question seems to have baffled / underwhelmed SO I will rephrase it with a partially formed idea of my own. Could I somehow set up a batch file or something that runs after the whole solution is built, and this batch file would call msbuild to build specific targets inside a certain project? In order for it to work, I would have to somehow force msbuild build the target without regard to whether it thinks it's "up to date", because that is the core issue I'm butting up against.

  I have a text file that includes data inside {[]} tags. What would be the suggested way to parse that data so I can just use the data inside the tags? Example text file would look like this: 'this is a bunch of text that is not {[really]} useful in any {[way]}. I need to {[get]} some items {[from]} it.' I would like to end up with 'really', 'way', 'get', 'from' in a list. I guess I could use split to do it.. but seems like there might be a better way out there. I have seen a ton parsing libraries, is there one that would be perfect for what I want to do?

I do care about characters that will invalidate parsing of the rest of the code.   I don't know the best way to title this question but am trying to accomplish the following goal: When a client logs into their profile, they are presented with a link to download data from an existing database in CSV format. The process works, however, I would like for this data to be 'fresh' each time they click the link so my plan was - once a user has clicked the link and downloaded the CSV file, the database table would 'erase' all of its data and start fresh (be empty) until the next set of data populated it.   What is the "computer science" term for the practice of assigning a special meaning to one of a type's values. For example a numeric variable called "amount_to_transfer" where the special value "0" means "entire account balance" or a date value "spouse_date_of_birth" where "1/1/1800" means "unmarried". I happen to feel that this is quite a bad "smell", but I'd like to have a name for it, and if possible, some blog post or article about why it's bad and how to fix it.
