  So i've been pulling my hair out trying to install the mysqldb package. • Missing on-screen keyboard for Flash/Flex web application on Android?

  I have an enterprise Flex web application, served up over https, that runs fine on Flash player 10.0 and beyond from a desktop computer/browser. However, when I run it from my HTC Incredible with Android 2.2 the app loads fine, but there is no on-screen keyboard and so I cannot log in. I can see the blinking cursor inside the username and password text fields. I can switch between them. I can even hit the login button and see an authentication error! According to Adobe this should Just Work. Any ideas? I wanna show off our spanking new app to strangers at the bus stop!

  Hello Friends, I have written a custom validation code in JQUERY. which is working fine. I have a login form which have two fields i.e. userid and password. I have written a custom JQUERY code for client side validation for these fields. This custom JQUERY code is working fine and gives me proper error messages as per the situation. But the problem with this code is that when I enter the invalid data in any or both field and press submit button of form then it displays the proper error message but at the same time when I checked it in Firebug it displays following error message when submit button of the form is clicked validate is not defined function onclick(event) { javascript: return validate(); }(click clientX=473, clientY=273) So please tell me where is I am wrong in my Jquery code. Connection strings are stored as plain text right now, but as configuration file is not in the public/shared folder we supposed that workstation security itself is enough.   Hello I have a question. It might be sound ridiculous, but let me explain what I want to accomplish. Right now I try to embed open source forum to by site and I want to leave forum and my site databases split. When my site users are logging in I want them also automatically be logged in to the forum system. For that I want to login within my PHP code after receiving username and password in post, but I don't know how I can get only cookies in response. I have found out that I can use curl_init(), curl_exec(), curl_close() functionality, but response from curl_exec returns whole response(page content, cookies, headers). Is there a way to receive only cookies? P.S. - If my design is totally wrong please give an advise how I can embed this functionality! I would be very thankful!

But the response is lost, in the console ---type of data = String ---data in function = So for some reason I am not getting the response back. Works from the browser.   I have a noodle scratcher that I can't seem to figure out. I am validating for unique usernames and emails addresses. I have the following rules: protected $rules = array( 'username' => 'required|min:4|unique:users,username', 'email' => 'email|unique:users,email', 'password' => 'min:6', ); If I update a form that has the username (which is the same as it currently is), I get a The username has already been taken. error. If I do the same with the email, I get no error at all. I know about adding the last param to the unique validation: 'unique:users,username,{{$id}}' or 'unique:users,username,'.$id This doesn't work on the username. I get the same issue. I can't figure out why this works for the email, but not the username. Anyone had a similar issue or know where I am going wrong? Many thanks,

  I have a symfony project with symfony V1.4.2 and doctrine 1.2.2. I have installed sfDoctrineGuardPlugin-4.0.1 and used to authenticate user from external method. Everything going fine, the authentication is perfect on windows machine but whenever I take this to linux machine, the login does not work. It keeps sayting "Invalid username or password". • I can't see a cropper in IE7/8. No problem in FF and the demo (with IE7/8).

  Hi, i have this cropper in my app. login: fer password: m Note: after loginning you will be redirected to another page. Then click again the link i mention. I can see it working in FF, but not in IE7/8 (Windows XP SP2, just installed). It's supposed it works ok, because I don't have any problems to operate the demo in both browsers, and in IE 8 Developer Tools the all the .js's necessary appeared as loaded. I have contacted with the developer of the cropper but he didn't reply. Any idea? Javi

• Reason to use more cookies than just a session hash for authentication?

  I usually hang out in a community using vBulletin as its bulletin board. I was looking at what this software saves as cookie in my browser. As you can see it saves 6 cookies. Amongst them, what I consider to be important for authentification are: ngivbsessionhash: hash of the current session ngivbpassword: hash of the password ngivbuserid: user's id Those are my assumptions of course. I don't know for sure if ngilastactivity and ngilastvisit are used for the same reason. My question is: why use all these cookie for authentication? My guess would be that maybe generating a session hash would be to easy so using the hashedpassword and userid adds security but what about cookie spoofing? I'm basically leaving on the client all fundamental informations. What do you think?

  I didn't think it would be so catastrophic when I typed JavaLoader -usb wipe -a into the command line with my blackberry 8800 test device. It reboots with a 507 error that I can't get rid of. I have Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.6, which is normally what I use to upload my test apps, but this time I go to Application Loader, hitting start gives me that dialog box that shows me the list of 1 USB connection "PIN: xxx" with a password field (which I have no idea of,) then it says "connecting to boot ROM" then stops at the message: A connection to the device can not be established... Now is there a hard physical way of resetting my blackberry 8800, please?

  First of al let me start off by saying I think custom annotations can be used for this but i'm not totally sure. I would like to have a set of annotations that I can decorate some test classes with. The annotations would allow me to configure the test for different environments. Example: public class Atest extends BaseTest{ private String env; @Login(environment=env) public void testLogin(){ //do something } @SignUp(environment=env) public void testSignUp(){ //do something } } The idea here would be that the login annotation would then be used to lookup the username and password to be used in the testLogin method for testing a login process for a particular environment. So my question(s) is this possible to do with annotations? If so I have not been able to find a decent howto online to do something like this. Everything out there seems to be your basic here's how to do your custom annotations and a basic processor but I haven't found anything for a situation like this. Ideas?

• Sharing a database connection with included classes in a Sinatra application

  I'm converting a part of a rails application to its own sinatra application. It has some beefy work to do and rather than have a million helps in app.rb, I've separated some of it out into classes. Without access to rails I'm rewriting finder several methods and needing access to the database inside of my class. What's the best way to share a database connection between your application and a class? Or would you recommend pushing all database work into its own class and only having the connection established there?   I am trying to make twitter work in my app and everything works fine except the code does not seem to recognize an error from twitter. However, the app continues to the post a tweet view I have and ignores the error. Obviously, I do not have something setup right to detect such an error from twitter so my question is how do I get xcode to recognize an error like this? This uses basic http auth btw and don't mention anything about OAuth...just trying to get this to work for now.

  Hi guys I'm trying to connect to an imap mail server using zend frameworks Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap function. Its working with some accounts but with most accounts it just dies out. I'm connecting using: $mail = new Zend_Mail_Storage_Imap(array('host' =>$current_dept->incoming_server, 'ssl' =>$current_dept->ssl, 'port'=>$current_dept->incoming_port, 'folder'=>$mbox_name, 'user' =>$current_dept->email, 'password' =>$current_dept->email_psd)); WIth some email accounts teh code doesn't go past this statement - and instead I'm prompted to 'download' the php file being run. Whats happening here - the mail server details are correct.

Before including the control into master page I successfully configured anonymous access to the site. After including the control and deploying - site prompts for user name and password. I allowed the anonymous access to the list. Oh yes ... It worked on SHarepoint 2010 beta, but the problem happens when deploying to the Sharepoint 2010 final release. Additional data: I am using Sharepoint Server 2010 with Standard features, standalone instalation on Windows Server 2008 R2 for deployment, and Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate for development of masterpage and user control.

• Login fails after upgrade to ASP.net 4.0 from 3.5

  I cannot log in using any of the membership accounts using .net 4.0 version of the app. It fails like it's the wrong password, and FailedPasswordAttemptCount is incremented in my_aspnet_membership table. (I am using membership with mysql membership provider.) I can create new users. They appear in the database. But I cannot log in using the new user credentials (yes, IsApproved is 1). One clue is that the hashed passwords in the database is longer for the users created using the asp.net 4.0 version, e.g 3lwRden4e4Cm+cWVY/spa8oC3XGiKyQ2UWs5fxQ5l7g=, and the old .net 3.5 ones are all like +JQf1EcttK+3fZiFpbBANKVa92c=. I can still log in when connecting to the same db with the .net 3.5 version, but only to the old accounts, not the new ones created with the .net 4.0 version. The 4.0 version cannot log in to any accounts. I tried dropping the whole database on my test system, the membership tables are then auto created on first run, but it's still the same, can create users, but can't log in.

  Hi guys, i'm relatively new to php and mysql and would like to know how to select two value in mysql with php. What i have is $query = sprintf("SELECT COUNT(id) FROM table WHERE UPPER(username) = UPPER('%s') AND password='%s'"... in this case, i'm only selecting and count if the id exist and i use list($count) = mysql_fetch_row($result); if($count == 1) and by using cookies, i would like to retrieve two value from the database, namely user (the user's name) and power (which has value of 1,2 or 3, indicating the menu they would be able to see) basically it is to differentiate if you're admin or normal user, but i wonder if i could do SELECT COUNT(id) AND power FROM table WHERE ... is this possible? or is there any other way? Please guide me, thanks.
