    Hello, To illustrate my problem, TEST="Hi my name is John" OUTP=`echo $TEST | awk '{print $3}'` echo $OUTP What I would expect this to do is pass the $TEST variable into awk and store the 3rd word into $OUTP. Instead I get "Hi: not found", as if it is expecting the input to be a file. If I pass just a string instead of a variable, however, there is no problem. What would be the best way to approach this?     Hello I have a problem with django translations. Problem 1 - i updated string in django.po file, but the change does not appear on the webpage. Problem 2 - i have created my own locale file with django-admin.py makemessages -l et, added the translation string into file, but they too do not appear on the page. I do not think this is setting problem, because the translations from django.po file do appear on the website, its just the changes and the translations from my own generated file that do not appear. This is code that works (Provided by another member of Stack Overflow): sqlStr = "USE "&databaseNameRecordSet.Fields.Item("name")&";SELECT permission_name FROM fn_my_permissions(null, 'database')" This code checks what permissions I have on a given database - the problem being - if I dont have permission it throws an error and doesn't continue to draw the rest of my page. I can't figure out what is wrong with my expression: /abcd/..asp\?\w+=.?[0-9]*? Example: http://domain.com/abcd/xyz.asp?RequestID=20100401 Do I have it wrong with 1) not starting/ending with ^$ 2) escaping the dot 3) escaping the question mark 4) matching the equals sign 5) or something else?
