Questions about TinyMCE. Or suggestions on a compariable product.

Hi I am using jquery 1.3.2 and asp.net mvc 1.0. Originally I was using some other rich html editor but I ran into one major problem when a user pasted in text from open office or MS office it would bring along tons of styling junk. If a user like wrote one sentence what was like 25 characters and pasted that into my current html editor the count would 25,000 characters and I don't want to store all that junk( I can't afford to). So tinyMCE seems to not have this problem. However I got some questions. It seems if you want to use for commercial use(what my site is but currently is not making very much at this time) you need to get a commercial license. However it does not say if it is free or if it will cost money. I am assuming it means that you will have to pay but I would like to confirm this. So do you have to pay for a license to use tinyMCe if your using it for commercial use? (Yes/ No) ------------------ Answer the following questions if you said "no" to the first question ----------- So would I use the jQuery package then or is it better to use the other versions? What is this .net compressor zip for? Do I need it? I only want a few of the buttons(like bold,font size) can I remove the other buttons? It seems to display a word count. How to parse out MS Word formatting?

I have a rich html textbox on my asp.net mvc application. The rich html textbox is some jquery plugin that I use and has basic stuff like bold,underline and etc. Now I am anticipating that people will maybe write something in word and then copy and paste it into my textbox. However I limit the number of characters a person can have. This is a test to show how much formatting gets made. • One • Two • Three So I wrote that above(it does not copy to well into here). Basically it is a line of text and "how" is bold and the "one,two,three" are a bullet list. Word says it is 70 characters long with spacing. System is Win7x64 Pro on Core i7-920, 12GB I'm experiencing some system flakiness and am trying to pin down the cause. SMART shows zero bad sectors, zero pending reallocations on all drives Memory tests show no problems. Chkdsk fails in various different ways: When run from a normal command line (no /f option) it gets to 63% and then hangs When run on boot (autocheck) it hangs immediately on starting. Actually, the countdown timer (Press any key to skip chkdsk) gets to 1 second and the system hangs. When run from the F8 "Repair System" option (the Win7 "recovery console"), with /f, it runs to about 63% (end of stage 2) and then fails as follows: Volume label is OS. CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)... 5068288 file records processed. File verification completed. 308 large file records processed. 0 bad file records processed. 2 EA records processed. 77 reparse records processed. CHKDSK is verifying indexes (stage 2 of 3)... 63 percent complete. (6078872 of 7562028 index entries processed) An unspecified error occurred (696e647863686b2e e19). Unable to obtain a handle to the event log. Googling and searching on Technet for the error code and "Unable to obtain a handle to the event log" both turn up nothing useful. Anybody have any info on what the problem is?

NTUSER.DAT and UsrClass.dat files building up by the thousands, why and can I delete?

I've noticed that my web server, 2008 Xen VM, gradually loosing free space - more than I would of though from normal use and decided to investigate. There are two problem areas: *C:\Users\Administrator\ (6,755.0 MB)* with files: NTUSER.DAT{randomness}.TMContainer'0000 randomness'.regtrans-ms NTUSER.DAT{randomness}.TM.blf AND C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\ (6,743.8 MB) with files UsrClass.dat{randomness}.TMContainer'0000 randomness'.regtrans-ms UsrClass.dat{randomness}.TM.blf From what I understand these are in-time backups of registry changes. If that is the case I cannot possibly understand why there would be 10000+ changes. (That's how many files there are per folder location, over 20,000 per folder in total.) The files are using almost 15GB of space and I want rid of them, I'm just wondering can I remove them. However, I need to understand why they are being created so I can avoid this in the future. Any ideas why there would be so many? Is there a way I can check to see what is making the modifications? Are they created with login attempts? Are they created in relation to every day Web Server use? etc. and so on

Apache - child process exited with status 255

I am running Windows 7 64-bit with an older version of (Apache 2.0.59) and PHP 5.2 - just switched from XP and wanted to keep the same versions. Everything will initially be working fine, but then I'll be trying to load a page and Apache crashes. I'll get an error in the browser that says "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Then Apache stops running. Sometimes it can be restarted, but then crashes again on the next page load. Sometimes it can't even be restarted at all. Looking in the Apache error logs, I see a series of messages that goes something like: [notice] Apache/2.0.59 (Win32) PHP/5.2.13 configured -- resuming normal operations [notice] Server built: Jul 27 2006 15:55:03 [notice] Parent: Created child process 1220 [notice] Child 1220: Child process is running [notice] Child 1220: Acquired the start mutex. [notice] Child 1220: Starting 250 worker threads. [notice] Parent: child process exited with status 255 -- Restarting. I have just come from Win XP where I never had any problems - is this an issue with my Apache version on Win7? Or perhaps it's a configuration issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've done days of research and found nothing helpful. Thanks, Brian

High CPU usage by 'svchost.exe' and 'coreServiceShell.exe'

I am having a laptop running on Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. Since past few days, my laptop is facing a serious problem. Whenever I connect to Internet, either svchost.exe or coreServiceShell.exe or both hog the CPU. The coreServiceShell.exe consumes a lot of RAM also. Going into the details, I found that high CPU usage of svchost.exe is caused by Network Location Awareness service. And the high CPU usage of coreServiceShell.exe is caused by Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2012. That kind'a makes me think that Trend Micro may be the root of the problem. After further testing, I found that if I use IE or Firefox to browse the Internet, immediately after connecting to Internet, things are normal. See and But if I use Google Chrome, the coreServiceShell.exe hogs both CPU and RAM. At this point, if I disconnect the Internet, the CPU and RAM usage by coreServiceShell.exe continues to be high till I close the Chrome. Also, when I close the Chrome, while Internet is connected, svchost.exe continues to hog CPU but coreServiceShell.exe leaves the race. That makes think that Chrome is the root of the problem, but again, tracing coreServiceShell.exe takes me back to Trend Micro Internet Security. Stopping the Protection by the Trend Micro Internet Security doesn't help either (I am not able to stop its services though). I have updated the Chrome, but no help. I just can't figure out who is the culprit. I can't do without the Google Chrome (of course, by not using it) because of its immensely useful and indispensable features both during browsing and development. Secondly, I can't uninstall the Trend Micro Internet security Suite since it still has few months before it expires and is proving me reliable protection. What could be the cause of the problem and what can I do to resolve this? Thanks in advance

Kodak Scanner Software Issue 0xc0000005

I am trying to be able to use a program called Kodak Smart Touch, but just today I have experienced an error preventing it from opening. The scanner is a business class scanner, an i2900. It comes with a small program called Kodak Smart Touch. This program allows you to select and customize a number of presets on the front panel and automatically create/save scanned files, etc. I was running a backup with Aomei Backupper at the time, and I wanted to scan a file. I tried to scan as normal, but right at the end the program quit with an error. Now, whenever I try to start Smart Touch, even not running the backup and with Aomei uninstalled, the following error pops up: Title of message: KSSCFG (version 1.7.15.121102) has stopped working. Body: See (path name) for more information. When I go to the path in the error message, there are two files, ERRORLOG.txt and KSSCFG.dmp. The error log says, "KSSCFG (version 1.7.15.322.121102) case an Access Violation(0xc0000005). Error occur at 2014/06/11 21:37:54 Operation System: Windows 7 64bits (6.1.7601) processor(s) type AMD x86 or x64" The dump file can be downloaded here: http://l.bitcasa.com/yzbtv1VV Opening it with a hex editor yields very little of use, but I do have an internal commandline utility that may help: http://l.bitcasa.com/cTXvAsst I've already uninstalled and reinstalled all the kodak software several times to no avail. Zabbix Log Monitoring - Duplicate alerts

I am configured Zabbix to monitor my Jboss Server logs for Erros and exclude some know errors. This setup is working with one issue. Zabbix will send me alerts when there is a new "ERROR" entry in the log file. But sometimes I get multiple alerts for the same event. For example, I got 5 alerts with the same time stamp "2012-06-25 07:55:56,864 ERROR". The duplicate alerts count is not constant, sometimes I get 2 sometimes 5 or 11. I checked the Monitoring Latest data in the GUI, and found that there is no duplicate entries. I have given my configuration of the log monitoring below. I am using latest version of zabbix server(2.0) Item configuration: Description: Server Error Monitoring. Key: log["/SERVER/jboss/jboss-5/server/ps/log/server.log","ERROR",UTF-8,200,skip] Type: Zabbix Agent (Active) Type of information: Log Interval :30 Trigger configuration: Description: Found Error in Server Log. Windows Task Scheduler broken: "service is not available"

Problem I'm trying to run Windows Task Scheduler from the start menu (the command is %SystemRoot%\system32\taskschd.msc /s) but as of very recently, I'm getting an error: ![Task Scheduler service is not available. Verify that the service is running.][1] I made some screenshots but I can't embed them unfortunately because I don't have enough reputation points yet: http://i.imgur.com/7rPXf.png and Mmddy.png and wonnF.png The window then opens as usual except no tasks are displayed and the error "Reading Data Failed" is shown on a few of the panels. ![second screenshot][2] Possible Causes ran rpccfg -a 1 and netsh rpc add 127.0.0.1 changed PC name twice while computer was still loading installed and used DeltaCopy installed Adobe AIR installed Warsow I can't think of any other system changes I've made. Things Tried ran rpccfg with the parameter to reset to defaults ran netsh with the parameter to reset to defaults uninstalled DeltaCopy forced the service to restart. The service and its dependencies appear started and looked normal before and after connecting to "another computer" from inside the program and entering credentials for the current machine. This said access denied yesterday but today it says "Connecting as another user is only supported when connecting to a computer running Windows Vista™ or later." and partially works but doesn't show my tasks. ![third screenshot][3] but I am on Vista! Please help!

Windows 7 intermittently drops wired internet/lan connection.

In a nutshell, my Windows 7 Ultimate PC intermittently drops it's internet connection. Why? Background: My PC is wired to my ADSL modem/router which is directly connected to the phone line. I also have wireless connectivity turned on within the router for a laptop to connect wirelessly. Every few hours or so, when using my PC, I find I cannot access the internet and pages will not load. Eventually, Windows7 will update the network icon in the task-tray to show the exclamation mark symbol on the network icon. Opening up the Network And Sharing Centre will show the red cross between the "Multiple Networks" and "The Internet". Here's a picture of the "Network And Sharing Centre" (grabbed when everything was working!) As you can see, I'm running Sun's VirtualBox on this machine and that creates a Network connection for itself. This doesn't seem to affect the intermittent dropping (i.e. the intermittent drops occur whether the VirtualBox connection is in use or not). When the connection does drop, I cannot access any internet pages, nor can I access the router's web admin page at http://192.168.1.1/, so I'm assuming I've lost all local LAN access too. It's definitely not the router (or the internet connection itself) as my laptop, using the wireless connection (and running Vista Home Premium) continues to be able to access the internet (and the router's web admin pages) just fine. Every time this happens, I can immediately restore all internet and LAN access by opening Network Adapter page, disabling the "Local Area Connection" and then re-enabling it. Give it a few seconds and everything is fine again. I assume this is because, beneath the GUI, it's effectively doing an "ipconfig /release" then "ipconfig /renew". Why does this happen in the first place, though? I've googled for this and seen quite a few other people (even on MSDN/Technet forums) experiencing the same or almost the same problem, but with no clear resolution. Suggestions of turning off IPv6 on the LAN adapter, and ensuring there's no power management "sleeping" the network adapter have been tried but do not cure the problem. There does not seem to be any particular sequence of events that cause it to happen either. I've had it go twice in 20 minutes when just randomly browsing the web with no other traffic, and I've also had it go once then not go again for 2-3 hours with the same sort of usage. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how to make it stop? EDIT: Additional information based upon the answer provided so far: Firstly, I forgot the mention that this is Windows 7 64 bit if that makes any difference at all. I mentioned that I don't think the VirtualBox network adpater is causing this problem in any way, and I also have VirtualBox installed on two other machines, one running Vista Home Premium and the other running XP. Neither of these machine experience the same network connectivity issues as the Windows 7 machine. The IP assignment for the Windows 7 machine is the same both before and after the "drop". I have a DHCP server on the router issuing IP Addresses, however my Windows 7 machine uses a static address. Here's the output from "ipconfig": Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled Within the system's event logs, the only event that relates to the connection dropping is a "DNS Client Event" and this is generated after the connection has dropped and is an event detailing that DNS information can't be found for whatever website I may be trying to access, just as the connection drops: Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-DNS-Client Event ID: 1014 Task Category: None Level: Warning Keywords: User: NETWORK SERVICE Description: Name resolution for the name weather.service.msn.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. The network adapter chipset is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and I have confirmed that this is the correct chipset for the motherboard (Asus M4A77TD PRO), and in fact, Windows Update installed an updated driver for this on 12/Jan/2009. The details of the update say that it's a Realtek software update from December 2009. Incidentally, I was still having the same intermittent problems prior to this update. It seems to have made no difference at all. EDIT 2 (1 Feb 2010): In my quest to solve this problem, I have discovered some more interesting information. On another forum, someone suggested that I should try running Windows in "Safe Mode With Networking" and see if the problem continues to occur. This was a fantastic suggestion and I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner myself. So, I proceeded to run in Safe Mode with Networking for a number of hours, and amazingly, the "drops" didn't occur once. It was a positive discovery, however, due to the intermittent nature of the original problem, I wasn't completely convinced that the problem was cured. One thing I did note is that the fan on my GFX card was running alot louder than normal. This is due to the fact that I have an ASUS ENGTS250 graphics card (http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=B6imcoax3MRY42f3) which had a known problem with a noisy fan until a BIOS update fixed the issue. (See the "Manufacturer Response" here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121334 for details). Well, running in safe mode had the fan running (incorrectly) at full speed (as it did before the BIOS update), but with an (apparently) stable network connection. Obviously some driver was not loaded for the GFX card when in Safe Mode so this got me thinking about the GFX card (since the very noisy fan was quite obvious when running in Safe Mode). I rebooted into normal mode, and found that Nvidia had a very up-to-date new driver for my GFX card (only about 1 week old), so I downloaded the appropriate driver and installed it. After installation and a reboot, I was able to use my PC for an entire day with NO NETWORK DROPS!!! This was on Saturday. However, on the Sunday, I also had my PC for pretty much the entire day and experienced 2 network drops. No other changes have been made to my PC in this time. So, the story seems to be that updating my graphics card drivers seems to have improved (if not completely fixed) the issue, however, I'm still searching for a proper fix for this problem. Hopefully, this information may help anyone who may have additional ideas as to why this problem is occuring in the first place. (And why does new GFX card drivers have anything to do with the network?) I appreciate everyone's feedback so far. However, I'll have to ask once more if anyone has any further ideas of how to fix this particular problem? Thanks in advance.

Replication of lockoutTime attribute is not urgent on AD-LDS

I have two LDS servers on the same subnet. They replicate well. If I change an attribute, it gets replicated after 15 seconds. LDS is configured to honor password policies. When a user makes too many wrong password attemps, his account is locked and that user's lockoutTime attribute is set accordingly. But lockoutTime is not replicated as urgent. In fact, it is not replicated unless there is another change somewhere in the directory. The lockoutTime attribute will be replicated. Here is an (edited Wireshark) trace. map subdomain to another subdomain via cname

Question: I need to get DNS configured to point a subdomain from one domain (which I will generally not be controlling) to another subdomain on a different domain name. Testing this process using a simple CNAME entry keeps pointing to the primary domain and not the subdomain where it should be going. This is the scenario; (newdomain.com is in my control) cdn.xyz.com should display content from this subdomain subdomain.newdomain.com It is instead displaying content from newdomain.com (not the subdomain sub domain) cdn.xyz.com/page.htm displays content from newdomain.com/page.htm although what I need is it to display content from subdomain.newdomain.com/page.htm Other Background: setup is between two different servers with different IP ranges although DNS cluster is on between all servers the newdomain.com is set up with its own unique IP (which is on the A records for the subdomains, the subdomains work as expected/normal) the DNS entry is correct (cdn CNAME subdomain.newdomain.com.) ie the end period is included a DNS lookup on the CNAME externally reports back as subdomain.newdomain.com. as the record Does anyone know what DNS entries I am missing to get this working correctly ? Note: I do not want to just put a redirect between domains as I need the content of subdomain.newdomain.com/content.html to be visible via the URL of cdn.xyz.com/content.html also I can just use some redirects on newdomain.com to achieve what I am after but would prefer to just get the DNS correct. Internet Explorer 8 crashes on Citrix, Windows 2003

Difficult to decide where this Q fits best. It's server-related and programming-related. But it's a user-problem so I'll put it here, first... I work on a (Delphi) application that uses an Internet Explorer component to show information to the user. It's not a web application, just a desktop application which creates HTML pages to display them within a browser component. Some of the information on these webpages are retrieved from a web server, while other information is provided "live" by the application itself. It works quite well, but it adds an IE-process (child process) next to my application. And this IE process seems to eat a lot of system resources. For normal users, this is not a real problem, so it's not an issue that I want to fix in the code. But one customer of this application uses it with about 100 users on a Citrix/Windows 2003 environment and they complain about problems with the application. IE8 tends to crash, not show, hang or cause other mayhap. Then again, I've warned them that -officially- I won't support any Citrix environment. But I'm willing to help them to find a solution to fix this, and if need be I could make minor changes to my code to help fix this issie. (If possible.) But basically, I need a solution that any user/administrator on this Citrix environment can follow/use. Any ideas on how to resolve this resource problem?

Hello, I am trying to get the size of a user's local profile using VBScript. I know the directory of the profile (typically "C:\Users\blah"). UPDATE: I did some deeper digging and it turns out that the Permission Denied error occurs if permission is denied to some subfolders or files of the directory whose size I wish to get. In the case of user profiles, there's always a few system files that even the Administrator group does not have permission to access. To get around this, I wrote a function that tries to get the folder size the normal way (above), then, if the error occurs, it recurses into the subdirectories of the folder, ignoring folder sizes that are permission denied (but not the rest of the folders). How to reset Bash on Mac OSX, .bash_profile corrupted and bash no longer works

I am on a MacBook Pro, running the latest version of Mountain Lion. I really need some help, I have managed some how to damage my .bash_profile (I think) so that every time I open up the terminal I get the error listed below. -bash: export: `/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/go/bin': not a valid identifier -bash: export: `/Users/rob/Applications/sbt/bin:': not a valid identifier env: bash: No such file or directory env: bash: No such file or directory env: bash: No such file or directory env: bash: No such file or directory env: bash: No such file or directory -bash: tar: command not found -bash: grep: command not found -bash: cat: command not found -bash: find: command not found I am not sure what has happened, I have no sudo, cd or any normal commands. The only way I have been able to get to any of the main directories is through the go to folder command in finder and try to find the file to no avail. To top it all off I think I created a file that might be causing the issue, I wanted to edit the .bash_profile so I typed sudo nano ./bash_profile This open a new file in nano which I think was then saved. After this I opened the real .bash_profile to add in the path for node.js. If I can get to the .bash_profile I think I can get it back on track but I can't find it, should I reinstall bash? If so how would I do that on a mac, I tried using brew install bash to which I get -bash: brew: command not found I am really stuck if anyone can help I would be really appreciated. Many thanks

Server 2008 RAID5 resynching

I built a W2K8 R2 server last weekend, and built a R5 array using Disk Management, 5x 1TB drives. For the next 60 hours the status said 'Resynching (X%)' as it built the array. during this time i did read and write to the drive (slowly) and once the rebuild was complete speeds were quite fast. I was copying over some data from a USB hard drive overnight, and the machine crashed (looking in the error i believe it was the driver for the usb drive) and so the RAID5 went back to resynching, since the machine was not shut down properly. The issue is, it's been about 48 hours since that started and I'm happy to say it will take roughly 60 hours again to resynch, however.. all this time in Disk Management, the status has only said 'Resynching', not 'Resynching (X%)'. The hard drive light is going nuts, and read/writes are slow again, so I'm assuming it is actually resynching. The question is - is that a correct assumption? and why is disk management not telling me what %age it's done? Is this normal behaviour for a not-properly-shut-down r5 array?

Cannot delete a SharePoint web application

What I have? I have normal web application and it has 3 site collections with name, "PDirectory". Other than this I have only Central administration web application in the farm. What I want? I want to delete that web application, "PDirectory". What problem am I facing? I am not able to delete the web application. I get below error when I try to delete it but, the site collections got deleted! Error: An object in the SharePoint administrative framework, "SPWebApplication Name=XXX Parent=SPWebService", could not be deleted because other objects depend on it. Update all of these dependants to point to null or different objects and retry this operation. Changes made to cli's php.ini not taking effect

I have two php.ini files - /etc/php.ini which loads in case of cli /opt/lampp/etc/php.ini which loads in case of browser. I am able to use PHP's Mailparse extension after adding the line extension=mailparse.so in the /opt/lampp/etc/php.ini and restarting lampp. But I am not able to load the same in case of command line - getting PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mailparse_msg_create() in ... mailparse_msg_create() is a part of the Mailparse extension. I tried by relogging with the user after making the change and even restarting the system. What needs to be done so that the change takes effect. Update I checked that php -i | grep 'Configuration File' gives PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so' - /usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Configuration File (php.ini) Path => /etc Loaded Configuration File => /etc/php.ini Update 2 I copied the mailparse.so from /opt/lampp/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626 and put it in /usr/lib/php/modules. I added extension=mailparse.so to /etc/php.ini as well. But it still showed this warning PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library ... As told by Lekensteyn, I did ldd /usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so and got ldd: warning: you do not have execution permission for /usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so' So I gave execute permission. Then ldd /usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so showed linux-gate.so.1 => (0x00110000) libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x0011d000) /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x003aa000) which looks normal. BUt now, running php command says PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so' - /usr/lib/php/modules/mailparse.so: undefined symbol: mbfl_name2no_encoding in Unknown on line 0

Existing open source software for wireless mesh networking?

Hello! My goal: Build a wireless mesh network with some ALIX 2D2 (500 MHz AMD Geode LX800 x86 CPU, 256MB RAM, Atheros wireless card) Aside from working like a normal wireless mesh network users should be able to read/write data from/to the ALIX Boxes and the ALIX boxes should be able to process data. Questions: Should I try to flash dd-wrt x86, voyage linux (linux.voyage.hk) or something else? What (open source) software should I look into before I start? Should I use a 'server' for data storage and processing instead of the ALIX boxes? Is it even possible to use the ALIX boxes for routing AND data storage and processing? Final notes: Data can be anything, for example, I want to setup a wireless mesh using the OLSRD protocol so my whole town gets wifi and can access songs on the network. It's not for that, but that's the idea. I'm not afraid of programing, compiling or working with *nix. This is mostly 'for fun' rather than for practicality. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
