  • Apache2 return 404 for proxy requests before reaching WSGI

    - by Alejandro Mezcua
I have a Django app running under Apache2 and mod_wsgi and, unfortunately, lots of requests trying to use the server as a proxy. The server is responding OK with 404 errors but the errors are generated by the Django (WSGI) app, which causes a high CPU usage. If I turn off the app and let Apache handle the response directly (send a 404), the CPU usage drops to almost 0 (mod_proxy is not enabled). Is there a way to configure Apache to respond directly to this kind of requests with an error before the request hits the WSGI app? I have seen that maybe mod_security would be an option, but I'd like to know if I can do it without it. EDIT. I'll explain it a bit more. In the logs I have lots of connections trying to use the server as a web proxy (e.g. connections like GET http://zzz.zzz/ HTTP/1.1 where zzz.zzz is an external domain, not mine). This requests are passed on to mod_wsgi which then return a 404 (as per my Django app). If I disable the app, as mod_proxy is disabled, Apache returns the error directly. What I'd finally like to do is prevent Apache from passing the request to the WSGI for invalid domains, that is, if the request is a proxy request, directly return the error and not execute the WSGI app. EDIT2. Here is the apache2 config, using VirtualHosts files in sites-enabled (i have removed email addresses and changed IPs to xxx, change the server alias to sample.sample.xxx). What I'd like is for Apache to reject any request that doesn't go to sample.sample.xxx with and error, that is, accept only relative requests to the server or fully qualified only to the actual ServerAlias. default: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName X.X.X.X ServerAlias X.X.X.X DocumentRoot /var/www/default <Directory /> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None </Directory> <Directory /var/www/> Options FollowSymLinks AllowOverride None Order allow, deny allow from all </Directory> ErrorDocument 404 "404" ErrorDocument 403 "403" ErrorDocument 500 "500" ErrorLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/error.log LogLevel warn CustomLog ${APACHE_LOG_DIR}/access.log combined </VirtualHost> actual host: <VirtualHost *:80> ErrorDocument 404 "404" ErrorDocument 403 "403" ErrorDocument 500 "500" WSGIScriptAlias / /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/django.wsgi ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerAlias sample.sample.xxx ServerName sample.sample.xxx CustomLog /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/log/sample.sample.xxx-access.log combined Alias /robots.txt /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/static/robots.txt Alias /favicon.ico /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/static/favicon.ico AliasMatch ^/([^/]*\.css) /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/static/$1 Alias /static/ /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/static/ Alias /media/ /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/media/ <Directory /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/static/> Order deny, allow Allow from all </Directory> <Directory /var/www/sample.sample.xxx/media/> Order deny, allow Allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost>

  • IIS - Tracing Web requests/resposes

    - by Khurram Aziz
Being developer; I love Fiddler... Is there similar tool/utility (preferably free) for server side tracing the web requests and the responses? I would love some utility which is fiddler like, i-e on start up you select particular IIS web site and it start tracing the requests / response (full content) for debugging purposes.

  • Redirecting port 80 requests to local web server with IPFW

    - by Alec Tarasoff
I'm setting up a freebsd router and want certain IPs on my network to be forwarded to our local webserver if they make port 80 requests. An example would be - banned user tries to surf the web, but all his requests are forwarded to the web page which notifies him that he is banned. As I understand I can use IPFW for this and maybe NATD. I would be grateful if someone could show me a good example on how to do it.

  • Blocking ICMP outgoing requests only in eth1

    - by Raj
I am creating a NAT with iptables: Computer A: eth0 (dhcp) + eth1 (static ip 192.168.0.1 - gateway) Computer B: eth1 (static ip 192.168.0.2, using Computer A as gateway) I know how to block ICMP outgoing requests (-A OUTPUT -p icmp --icmp-type echo-request -j DROP), but that would block ICMP requests from Computer A, but not from Computer B (in fact, only for Computer A - Computer B can keep doing those). I tried with the same command, but adding -o eth1, but that does not block at all. Any idea?

  • Windows 2008 IIS 7.0 HTTP to HTTPS Redirect -- Versus IIS 6.0 Mechanism

    - by Dan7el
This topic, creating a mechanism for redirection from HTTP to HTTPS on a Windows 2008 server running IIS 7.0 is a much written-about topic on the Internet. How this is done is really not so much my issue. My issue is more of explaining why this can't be done with the standard HTTP Redirect module that ships with Windows 2008 IIS 7.0. Instead, there are other methods needed that are more arduous. First, the IIS 6.0 method requires no externally available modules nor does it require any additional modifications to the web.config or any type of other development effort. It's outlined here: http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/blogs/dorr/archive/2009/01/13/how-to-force-redirection-from-http-to-https-on-iis-6-0.aspx And, you can see the basic steps are to run the snap-in, get the properties on the site, and do some modifications. Presto, you have the HTTP -- HTTP redirect setup. Now, on the IIS 7.0 platform, it doesn't seem this simple. An initial search found the following site: http://www.sslshopper.com/iis7-redirect-http-to-https.html Which has two separate approcates: 1. Involves installing a separately available Microsoft module -- URL Rewrite Module, and then adding XML to the web.config. 2. Custom Error Page. ...there might be other methods, but these are the basic ones and the first is listed as the primary method. But wait...There exists on the IIS 7.0 an HTTP Redirect Module. So...why can't I use the HTTP Redirect Module to do this very thing? This is really my big question. I need to know this because my management is going to insist I use the HTTP Redirect Module and set up the HTTP to HTTPS redirect in a similar fashion to how we do in IIS 6.0. Can someone please explain to me, in clean, simple, easy to understand, terms that both I and my management can understand as to why I need to go get the URL Rewrite Module and install that on the server and make the web.config changes suggested by the article instead of simply using the HTTP Redirect module that's already installed on the site? Thanks a bunch.

  • Buffer requests in nginx while a symlink switches on backend

    - by Quintin Par
In a release deployment I would like to buffer client requests that come to nginx(in reverse proxy) mode to be buffered for possibily 1-2 seconds while a pdsh request is sent to switch symlinks on the back end server to /var/www/html/current . After the switch is complete, I would want to release the buffering while avoiding a herd clash. Is this possible in nginx? Can someone help? Edit: The idea is not to loose requests and from nginx forums I've come to know that retries can sometimes results in CPU spins

  • Apache VirtualHost Blockhole (Eats All Requests on All Ports on an IP)

    - by Synetech inc.
I’m exhausted. I just spent the last two hours chasing a goose that I have been after on-and-off for the past year. Here is the goal, put as succinctly as possible. Step 1: HOSTS File: 127.0.0.5 NastyAdServer.com 127.0.0.5 xssServer.com 127.0.0.5 SQLInjector.com 127.0.0.5 PornAds.com 127.0.0.5 OtherBadSites.com … Step 2: Apache httpd.conf <VirtualHost 127.0.0.5:80> ServerName adkiller DocumentRoot adkiller RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (\.(gif|jpg|png|jpeg)$) /p.png [L] RewriteRule (.*) /ad.htm [L] </VirtualHost> So basically what happens is that the HOSTS file redirects designated domains to the localhost, but to a specific loopback IP address. Apache listens for any requests on this address and serves either a transparent pixel graphic, or else an empty HTML file. Thus, any page or graphic on any of the bad sites is replaced with nothing (in other words an ad/malware/porn/etc. blocker). This works great as is (and has been for me for years now). The problem is that these bad things are no longer limited to just HTTP traffic. For example: <script src="http://NastyAdServer.com:99"> or <iframe src="https://PornAds.com/ad.html"> or a Trojan using ftp://spammaster.com/[email protected];[email protected];[email protected] or an app “phoning home” with private info in a crafted ICMP packet by pinging CardStealer.ru:99 Handling HTTPS is a relatively minor bump. I can create a separate VirtualHost just like the one above, replacing port 80 with 443, and adding in SSL directives. This leaves the other ports to be dealt with. I tried using * for the port, but then I get overlap errors. I tried redirecting all request to the HTTPS server and visa-versa but neither worked; either the SSL requests wouldn’t redirect correctly or else the HTTP requests gave the You’re speaking plain HTTP to an SSL-enabled server port… error. Further, I cannot figure out a way to test if other ports are being successfully redirected (I could try using a browser, but what about FTP, ICMP, etc.?) I realize that I could just use a port-blocker (eg ProtoWall, PeerBlock, etc.), but there’s two issues with that. First, I am blocking domains with this method, not IP addresses, so to use a port-blocker, I would have to get each and every domain’s IP, and update theme frequently. Second, using this method, I can have Apache keep logs of all the ad/malware/spam/etc. requests for future analysis (my current AdKiller logs are already 466MB right now). I appreciate any help in successfully setting up an Apache VirtualHost blackhole. Thanks.

  • Count requests from access log for the last 7 days

    - by RoboForm
I would like to parse an access log file and have returned the amount of requests, for the last 7 days. I have this command cut -d'"' -f3 /var/log/apache/access.log | cut -d' ' -f2 | sort | uniq -c | sort -rg Unfortunately, this command returns the amount of requests since the creation of the file and sorts it into HTTP-code categories. I would like just a number, no categories and only for the last 7 days. Thanks.

  • Tips for maximizing Nginx requests/sec?

    - by linkedlinked
I'm building an analytics package, and project requirements state that I need to support 1 billion hits per day. Yep, "billion". In other words, no less than 12,000 hits per second sustained, and preferably some room to burst. I know I'll need multiple servers for this, but I'm trying to get maximum performance out of each node before "throwing more hardware at it". Right now, I have the hits-tracking portion completed, and well optimized. I pretty much just save the requests straight into Redis (for later processing with Hadoop). The application is Python/Django with a gunicorn for the gateway. My 2GB Ubuntu 10.04 Rackspace server (not a production machine) can serve about 1200 static files per second (benchmarked using Apache AB against a single static asset). To compare, if I swap out the static file link with my tracking link, I still get about 600 requests per second -- I think this means my tracker is well optimized, because it's only a factor of 2 slower than serving static assets. However, when I benchmark with millions of hits, I notice a few things -- No disk usage -- this is expected, because I've turned off all Nginx logs, and my custom code doesn't do anything but save the request details into Redis. Non-constant memory usage -- Presumably due to Redis' memory managing, my memory usage will gradually climb up and then drop back down, but it's never once been my bottleneck. System load hovers around 2-4, the system is still responsive during even my heaviest benchmarks, and I can still manually view http://mysite.com/tracking/pixel with little visible delay while my (other) server performs 600 requests per second. If I run a short test, say 50,000 hits (takes about 2m), I get a steady, reliable 600 requests per second. If I run a longer test (tried up to 3.5m so far), my r/s degrades to about 250. My questions -- a. Does it look like I'm maxing out this server yet? Is 1,200/s static files nginx performance comparable to what others have experienced? b. Are there common nginx tunings for such high-volume applications? I have worker threads set to 64, and gunicorn worker threads set to 8, but tweaking these values doesn't seem to help or harm me much. c. Are there any linux-level settings that could be limiting my incoming connections? d. What could cause my performance to degrade to 250r/s on long-running tests? Again, the memory is not maxing out during these tests, and HDD use is nil. Thanks in advance, all :)

  • Transparently rewrite requests to a subdomain.

    - by ptrin
I would like to rewrite requests to http://www.mysite.com/foo to http://foo.mysite.com without the user's address bar changing. Using IIRF I can do the rewrite, but only if I use the [R] modifier flag which makes the rewrite a redirect. Is there a way for me to transparently rewrite requests to a subdomain? Here's the rewrite rule I've been testing with: RewriteRule ^/foo/(.*)?$ http://foo.mysite.com/index.html?$1 [R,L]

  • Forward my http requests blindly through to a new server

    - by Jason
I need to forward any http request from my old server IP to my new IP. I migrated servers and there are a few domains that have a high TTL and I could not update. Is it possible to take all HTTP requests from one server running centos/whm/php/apache 2+ and forward them to the new ip? Since I have hundreds of domains I'd prefer a solution that involves running an app on the linux box that will push requests automatically to the new box. Thoughts? Cheers

  • Is there a simple LDAP-to-HTTP gateway out there?

    - by larsks
We have a local LDAP directory that provides basic contact information about our user community. We would like to integrate this into some third-party hosted services that allow us to implement widgets that run arbitrary Javascript. In order to connect Javascript to our LDAP directory, I would like to set up a simple LDAP-to-HTTP proxy that would accept HTTP GET requests, translate them into an appropriate LDAP query, and respond with directory information as JSON-encoded data. In an ideal world, something like this: GET /[email protected] Would get me something like this: { "cn": "Bob Person", "title": "System Administrator", "sn": "Person", "mail": "[email protected]", "telepehoneNumber": "617-555-1212", "givenName": "Bob" } (And this obviously assumes that the web application has locally configured information about what base DN to use, how to authenticate, etc). I guess I could write one...but surely something like this already exists? UPDATE The consensus seems to be that there isn't a pre-existing solution out there and that I should just get off my lazy derriere and write one. So I did, and it's here. It's not especially pretty, but it works for my prototyping and I figure maybe someone else will find it useful someday.

  • Simple Linux program that takes any HTTP/HTTPS request and returns a single page?

    - by ultrasawblade
I have a Linux box operating as router. There's a NIC that's connected to the internet (WAN), a NIC connected to an 8-port GbE switch (LAN), and a NIC connected to a Linksys wireless N-router (WLAN). Routing between everything is working perfectly. I have security completely disabled on the wireless router, but the WLAN NIC is firewalled such that it will only accept DNS queries and PPTP VPN connections. Currently HTTP/HTTPS traffic and everything else is blocked. I would like to run something that listens on port 80/443 of the WLAN NIC, and, for non VPN'ed connections, given any HTTP/HTTPS request it will return a single webpage saying "Unauthenticated" and explain how to sign into the VPN. A transparent proxy seems to be what I need, but my searches all seem to direct me to Squid, which is already running on my server and seems overkill for this simple task. Is there a simpler, lightweight program out there that does just this or should I just suck it up and run two instances of Squid (or figure out how to configure it)? Or, is this entire VPN thing I'm doing complete nonsense and I should just enable encryption on the wireless router?

  • Referer is passed from HTTPS to HTTP in some cases... How?

    - by ravisorg
In theory browsers do not pass on referer information from HTTPS to HTTP sites. And in my experience this has always been true. But I just found an exception, and I want to understand why it works so I can use it as well. Search for "what is my referer" on https://www.google.ca/ eg: https://www.google.ca/search?q=what+is+my+referer There are a few sites that will show referer. They all seem to "work" when they shouldn't. For example, click the www.whatismyreferer.com one. I get: Your referer: https://www.google.ca/ Note that sometimes, rarely, I get "no referer" as the result. Go back and click the link again and it'll "work" the next time. This should not happen. www.whatismyreferer.com is a non-HTTPS site. The referer header should not be being passed, but it is. What's going on here, and how can I do the same from my HTTPS site to the HTTP sites I'm linking to?

  • What is the recommended method of HTTP Redirection from multiple URLs to one URL?

    - by ChrisHDog
I have a website that has a number of URLs that people use to connect to that site (uses the bindings on the IIS website and everything works as intended): http://www.sample.com http://sample.com https://www.sample.com http://xyz.sample.com http://oldurl.com Now what I want to do is have all of the URLs go to https://www.sample.com - so if you type in "http://xyz.sample.com" or "sample.com" you should go to https://www.sample.com The question is what is the best mechanism to do this? I have one possible solution (which I will put as an answer to this question), but I get the feeling that there might be another, better solution available.

  • Errors when connecting to HTTPS using HTTP::Net routines (Ruby on Rails)

    - by jaycode
    Hi all, the code below explains the problem in detail #this returns error Net::HTTPBadResponse url = URI.parse('https://sitename.com') response = Net::HTTP.start(url.host, url.port) {|http| http.get('/remote/register_device') } #this works url = URI.parse('http://sitename.com') response = Net::HTTP.start(url.host, url.port) {|http| http.get('/remote/register_device') } #this returns error Net::HTTPBadResponse response = Net::HTTP.post_form(URI.parse('https://sitename.com/remote/register_device'), {:text => 'hello world'}) #this returns error Errno::ECONNRESET (Connection reset by peer) response = Net::HTTP.post_form(URI.parse('https://sandbox.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt'), {:text => 'hello world'}) #this works response = Net::HTTP.post_form(URI.parse('http://sitename.com/remote/register_device'), {:text => 'hello world'}) So... how do I send POST parameters to https://sitename.com or https://sandbox.itunes.apple.com/verifyReceipt in this example?   • Using HTTP status codes to reflect success/failure of Web service request?

    - by jgarbers
I'm implementing a Web service that returns a JSON-encoded payload. If the service call fails -- say, due to invalid parameters -- a JSON-encoded error is returned. I'm unsure, however, what HTTP status code should be returned in that situation. On one hand, it seems like HTTP status codes are for HTTP: even though an application error is being returned, the HTTP transfer itself was successful, suggesting a 200 OK response. On the other hand, a RESTful approach would seem to suggest that if the caller is attempting to post to a resource, and the JSON parameters of the request are invalid somehow, that a 400 Bad Request is appropriate. I'm using Prototype on the client side, which has a nice mechanism for automatically dispatching to different callbacks based on HTTP status code (onSuccess and onFailure), so I'm tempted to use status codes to indicate service success or failure, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has opinions or experience with common practice in this matter. Thanks!

  • Building a webserver, client doesn't acknowledge HTTP 200 OK frame.

    - by Evert
Hi there, I'm building my own webserver based on a tutorial. I have found a simple way to initiate a TCP connection and send one segment of http data (the webserver will run on a microcontroller, so it will be very small) Anyway, the following is the sequence I need to go through: receive SYN send SYN,ACK receive ACK (the connection is now established) receive ACK with HTTP GET command send ACK send FIN,ACK with HTTP data (e.g 200 OK) receive FIN,ACK <- I don't recieve this packet! send ACK Everything works fine until I send my acknowledgement and HTTP 200 OK message. The client won't send an acknowledgement to those two packages and thus no webpage is being displayed. I've added a pcap file of the sequence how I recorded it with wireshark. Pcap file: http://cl.ly/5f5 (now it's the right data) All sequence and acknowledgement numbers are correct, checksum are ok. Flags are also right. I have no idea what is going wrong.

  • Custom http service responds fine to local IP address but NOT to localhost or 127.0.0.1

    - by Scrappydog
I'm trying to connect to a custom http service written by another developer. The service responds fine on a local IP address and port number. Such as: http://10.1.1.1:1234 but it does NOT respond to http://localhost:1234 or http://127.0.0.1:1234 The service is a simple single function application written in VC++ that takes an http post string and returns another string. I'm trying to all it from C# using HttpWebRequest.GetResponse, but I can reproduce the same problem manually from a web browser... Test environment is Windows 2008 Server. Bottom line I'm looking for some troubleshooting tips to help the other developer fix his code.

  • Setting custom HTTP request headers in an URL object doesn't work.

    - by Blagovest Buyukliev
I am trying to fetch an image from an IP camera using HTTP. The camera requires HTTP basic authentication, so I have to add the corresponding request header: URL url = new URL("http://myipcam/snapshot.jpg"); URLConnection uc = url.openConnection(); uc.setRequestProperty("Authorization", "Basic " + new String(Base64.encode("user:pass".getBytes()))); // outputs "null" System.out.println(uc.getRequestProperty("Authorization")); I am later passing the url object to ImageIO.read(), and, as you can guess, I am getting an HTTP 401 Unauthorized, although user and pass are correct. What am I doing wrong? I've also tried new URL("http://user:pass@myipcam/snapshot.jpg"), but that doesn't work either.

  • how can I reliably check that requests to my service file have come from my website?

    - by woot586
I have a service.php class that I use to service AJAX calls from my website. To prevent other people accessing the service using PHP CURL I would normally check the request has come from mysite, and if they are not then just redirect to my home page e.g. if($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] != "http://www.mysite.com"){ header('location: http://www.mysite.com'); exit; } I read in the PHP holy bible: http://www.php.net/manual/en/reserved.variables.server.php that "Not all user agents will set this, and some provide the ability to modify HTTP_REFERER as a feature. In short, it cannot really be trusted." So if this method is not reliable, my question is how can I reliably check that requests to my service file have come from my website? Thanks for any help you can provide!

  • How Can I Determine if HTTP Requests/Responses are compressed in IE7?

    - by DTS
I'm trying to use Fiddler (v2.2.2.0) to see if HTTP traffic through IE7 is being compressed. I'm not seeing Accept-Encoding or Content-Encoding request/response headers being sent/returned and I do not need to decode the response data once it's arrived, which leads me to believe that the responses are NOT coming back compressed. However, when making the same requests using FireFox 3.5.7, I could see through FireBug that FF was sending Accept-Encoding and YSlow at least thought my data was coming back compressed. A comment in this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/897989/using-fiddler-to-check-iis-compression suggested that a proxy server may be to blame for stripping out headers and decompressing the content for security reasons. I am using Verizon FIOS for my broadband at home and am now wondering if Verizon is proxying my HTTP traffic? In short, how can I positively confirm/deny that responses are coming back compressed through IE? Thanks.

  • Web.config WordPress rewrite rules next to Magento

    - by Flo
    I've installed Magento on IIS in folder: E:\mydomain\wwwroot (I already have it all running correctly). I have no deeper folder magento, I placed all files directly in the wwwroot folder, so: wwwroot\app wwwroot\downloader wwwroot\errors wwwroot\includes etc... UPDATE: since I'm on IIS my .htaccess is ignored completely and my web.config rules are used instead. Here's my web.config in folder e:\mydomain\wwwroot: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Magento SEO: remove index.php from URL"> <match url="^(?!index.php)([^?#]*)(\\?([^#]*))?(#(.*))?" /> <conditions> <add input="{URL}" pattern="^/(media|skin|js)/" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" ignoreCase="false" negate="true" /> </conditions> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php/{R:0}" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration> Next, I wanted to install WordPress. I unzipped all files in folder e:\mydomain\wwwroot\wordpress Browsed to www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php, where I configured everything for my database. Everything was installed correctly. I then navigate to http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php where I type my credentials. I seem to be logged in and am redirected to http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-admin/ But there I receive an empty page. I enabled detailed error message in IIS following this article: http://www.iis.net/learn/troubleshoot/diagnosing-http-errors/how-to-use-http-detailed-errors-in-iis I also checkec with Fiddler and see that I receive a 500 error: GET /wordpress/wp-admin/ HTTP/1.1 Host: www.mydomain.com Connection: keep-alive Cache-Control: max-age=0 Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,/;q=0.8 User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/29.0.1547.76 Safari/537.36 Referer: http://www.mydomain.com/wordpress/wp-login.php Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate,sdch Accept-Language: en-US,en;q=0.8,nl;q=0.6 Cookie: wordpress_fabec4083cf12d8de89c98e8aef4b7e3=floran%7C1381236774%7C2d8edb4fc6618f290fadb49b035cad31; wordpress_test_cookie=WP+Cookie+check; wordpress_logged_in_fabec4083cf12d8de89c98e8aef4b7e3=floran%7C1381236774%7Cbf822163926b8b8df16d0f1fefb6e02e HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error Content-Type: text/html Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.5 X-Powered-By: PHP/5.4.14 X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Sun, 06 Oct 2013 12:56:03 GMT Content-Length: 0 My WordPress web.config in folder e:\mydomain\wwwroot\wordpress contains: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="wordpress" patternSyntax="Wildcard"> <match url="*"/> <conditions> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsFile" negate="true"/> <add input="{REQUEST_FILENAME}" matchType="IsDirectory" negate="true"/> </conditions> <action type="Rewrite" url="index.php"/> </rule></rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration> I also want my WordPress articles to be available on www.mydomain.com/blog instead of www.mydomain.com/wordpress Ofcourse my admin links for Magento and Wordpress should also work. • My Apache access log contains weird GET and POST requests, what can I do?

For example: 114.232.151.185 - - [11/Jun/2014:20:11:33 +0200] "GET http://hotel.qunar.com/render/hoteldiv.jsp?&__jscallback=XQScript_4 HTTP/1.1" 404 1167 103.30.175.10 - - [12/Jun/2014:08:35:17 +0200] "GET /vtigercrm/ HTTP/1.1" 404 1034 69.174.245.163 - - [14/Jun/2014:01:22:38 +0200] "GET /w00tw00t.at.blackhats.romanian.anti-sec:) HTTP/1.1" 404 1034 69.174.245.163 - - [14/Jun/2014:01:22:38 +0200] "GET /phpMyAdmin/scripts/setup.php HTTP/1.1" 404 1034 94.74.229.110 - - [16/Jun/2014:18:46:43 +0200] "GET http://www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt HTTP/1.1" 404 1037 80.73.11.164 - - [20/Jun/2014:01:52:14 +0200] "POST /cgi-bin/php?%2D%64+%61%6C%6C%6F%77%5F%75%72%6C%5F%69%6E%63%6C%75%64%65%3D%6F%6E+%2D%64+%73%61%66%65%5F%6D%6F%64%65%3D%6F%66%66+%2D%64+%73%75%68%6F%73%69%6E%2E%73%69%6D%75%6C%61%74%69%6F%6E%3D%6F%6E+%2D%64+%64%69%73%61%62%6C%65%5F%66%75%6E%63%74%69%6F%6E%73%3D%22%22+%2D%64+%6F%70%65%6E%5F%62%61%73%65%64%69%72%3D%6E%6F%6E%65+%2D%64+%61%75%74%6F%5F%70%72%65%70%65%6E%64%5F%66%69%6C%65%3D%70%68%70%3A%2F%2F%69%6E%70%75%74+%2D%64+%63%67%69%2E%66%6F%72%63%65%5F%72%65%64%69%72%65%63%74%3D%30+%2D%64+%63%67%69%2E%72%65%64%69%72%65%63%74%5F%73%74%61%74%75%73%5F%65%6E%76%3D%30+%2D%6E HTTP/1.1" 404 1034 162.253.66.76 - - [24/Jun/2014:23:54:30 +0200] "GET /rutorrent HTTP/1.1" 400 226 122.226.223.69 - - [25/Jun/2014:01:14:27 +0200] "GET http://todd0738.gotoip4.com//hello.html HTTP/1.1" 404 1041 My Apache access log file: http://pastebin.com/2x0naQBK
