  • problem with multiple ajax HTTP get requests with different imput variables using jQuery

    I want to make asychronous get requests and to take different results based on the input that I provide to each one. Here is my code: param=1; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_1.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.resul 5.t').html(data); }); param=2; $.get('http://localhost/my_page_2.php', param, function(data) { alert("id = "+param); $('.result').html(data); }); The result for both requests is: "id = 2" I want the results to be: "id = 1" for the 1st request, and "id = 2" for the second one.. I want to do this for many requests in one HTML file and integrate the results into the HTML as soon as they are ready. Can anyone help me to solve this problem? thank you in advance, Thanasis

  • Looking for a way to get HTTP Digest Authentication headers from incoming http requests

    I've been working on a REST implementation with my existing Cake install, and it's looking great except that I want to use HTTP Digest Authentication for all requests (Basic Auth won't cut it). So great, I'll generate a header in the client app (which is not cake) and send it to my cake install. Only problem is, I can't find a method for extracting that Digest from the request... I've looked through the Cake API for something that I can use to get the Digest Header. You'd think that Request Handler would be able to grab it, but I can't find anything resembling that. There must be another method of getting the digest that I am overlooking? In the meantime I'm writing my own regex to parse it out of the Request... once I'm done I'll post it here so no one has to waste as much time as I did hunting for it.

  • checksum error with building an HTTP packet(but over TCP, like syn/ack its ok)

    I am building a NAT program,I change each packet that comes from our internal subnet, change it's source IP address by libnet functions.( catch the packet with libpcap, put it sniff structures and build the new packet with libnet) I am trying to build an http packet. When I look on wireshark, I see that the new packet that I have built is exectly like the original packet(the only diffrent is that I changed the src port and ip), but there is a checksum error, So the server don't do anything with the packet that I have sent to him, beacuse the cheksum field is wrong. When I send a tcp packet(like syn or ack), the checksum is ok, and the server respons. Is anyone knows what can cause this problem? the new checksum in other packets is calculated as it should be.. but in the HTTP packet it doesn't..

Running it in new thread and stopping it seems to be wrong way. HttpMethodBase has abort() method, but I can't understand how to use it because client.executeMethod blocks execution until it complets

  • Synchronous HTTP Client with .NET sockets

    Does anyone know of any open source C# projects or some sample code that implement a synchronous HTTP client using sockets? I'm working on a project where I need a HTTP client using sockets. It can't use WebRequest or WebClient, nor can it use Asynchronous sockets. Don't ask. Also it would ideally be on .NET 2.0, yeah very cutting edge here. I figured the web would have tons of samples for this but suprisingly I couldn't find any. Probably because everyone is fortunate enough to use the built in APIs. If I don't find something I'll have to write it myself, which I don't really want to have to reinvent that wheel.

    I am new to web services. I am dealing with testing APIs in my project. In the previous version the company used GET and POST methods but not PUT and DELETE methods. I need help for the HTTP DELETE method. I have browsed various websites where I found the example code snippets for GET and POST methods, but not for DELETE and PUT methods (why?). Can anyone give me an example code snippet (C#) for RESTful HTTP DELETE method and explain how to call the DELETE request?

  • Weblogic server: Why response sent prior to post completion

    When analyzing traffic with a packet sniffer, we are seeing an http response from a weblogic server prior to the completion of the http post to that server. In this case, the jsp page on the server is basically a static page, no logic to do anything with the contents of the post at this time. But why would the server send the response prior to completion of the post? I found Weblogic documentation about how to configure the server to ignore a denial-of-service attack using Http post. Maybe that is what is happening? No one I know has seen this behaviour before. Maybe some weblogic-savvy person will know what is going on. Thanks

  • how do I download a large file (via HTTP) in .NET

    I need to download a LARGE file (2GB) over HTTP in a C# console app. Problem is, after about 1.2GB, the app runs out of memory. Here's the code I'm using: WebClient request = new WebClient(); request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(username, password); byte[] fileData = request.DownloadData(baseURL + fName); As you can see... I'm reading the file directly into memory. I'm pretty sure I could solve this if I were to read the data back from HTTP in chunks and write it to a file on disk. Does anyone know how I could do this?

    I'm developing an application for iOS in Xcode 4.5 but I have a problem with a UIWebView. I want to set a header(BASE64 code) to skip a login part. When I try this, using the NPWebView project the webview always fails with an error which looks like this: Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-999 "The operation couldn’t be completed.   • Google App Engine, Java, and HTTP Performance

    A friend and I are currently working on a turn-based game with chat with both desktop browser and Android clients, with Google App Engine as the server. We're using the Java API for GAE and using HTTP for communication with the server. We've implemented simple chat functionality, and we're getting undesirable latencies 1-3 seconds from both the browser and Android clients while just posting simple one-word chat messages. My friend thought it would be best to use XMPP instead of HTTP, but we want to use a Google Accounts cookie for authentication from the Android client, and according to the GAE documentation, XMPP clients cannot use a Google Accounts cookie and must use the user's password. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where the latency might be coming from, how to troubleshoot it, and/or what to do about it? Also, is anyone aware of any opensource implementations of chat (or something similar) on GAE done in Java? Can't seem to find any.

    I am working on a project where I need to embed a web server into my C# application so the application could display it's status via HTTP. I suppose I'll want to configure it through the http also. I am looking for an open-source library written in C# and with a licensing scheme that will allow me to link it into my existing closed source code (LGPL). Any suggestions of specific products or where to look first? It would be great if that product could have some kind of scripting, at least templates. All html output would go from the application, only resources would be stored on the disk (images, icons, ...) EDIT: I would like it to run under .NET 2.0, however.

  • HTTP server that handles requests through IO devices?

    This question can probably only be answered for Unix-like systems that follow the "everything is a file" idiom. Would it be hard to create a web server that mounts local devices for handling http traffic? It would enable a program to read raw http requests from /dev/httpin (for example) and write the responses to /dev/httpout. I think this would be nice because it would allow me to create a web server from any programming language that is capable of handling IO streams. I don't really know where to start on this. Any suggestions on how to setup such a system?

I tried with non protected pages and I can read them properly.   • Handling HTTP 404 Error in ASP.NET Web API

            Introduction:                     Building modern HTTP/RESTful/RPC services has become very easy with the new ASP.NET Web API framework. Using ASP.NET Web API framework, you can create HTTP services which can be accessed from browsers, machines, mobile devices and other clients. Developing HTTP services is now become more easy for ASP.NET MVC developer becasue ASP.NET Web API is now included in ASP.NET MVC. In addition to developing HTTP services, it is also important to return meaningful response to client if a resource(uri) not found(HTTP 404) for a reason(for example, mistyped resource uri). It is also important to make this response centralized so you can configure all of 'HTTP 404 Not Found' resource at one place. In this article, I will show you how to handle 'HTTP 404 Not Found' at one place.         Description:                     Let's say that you are developing a HTTP RESTful application using ASP.NET Web API framework. In this application you need to handle HTTP 404 errors in a centralized location. From ASP.NET Web API point of you, you need to handle these situations, No route matched. Route is matched but no {controller} has been found on route. No type with {controller} name has been found. No matching action method found in the selected controller due to no action method start with the request HTTP method verb or no action method with IActionHttpMethodProviderRoute implemented attribute found or no method with {action} name found or no method with the matching {action} name found.                                          Now, let create a ErrorController with Handle404 action method. This action method will be used in all of the above cases for sending HTTP 404 response message to the client.  public class ErrorController : ApiController { [HttpGet, HttpPost, HttpPut, HttpDelete, HttpHead, HttpOptions, AcceptVerbs("PATCH")] public HttpResponseMessage Handle404() { var responseMessage = new HttpResponseMessage(HttpStatusCode.NotFound); responseMessage.ReasonPhrase = "The requested resource is not found"; return responseMessage; } }                     You can easily change the above action method to send some other specific HTTP 404 error response. If a client of your HTTP service send a request to a resource(uri) and no route matched with this uri on server then you can route the request to the above Handle404 method using a custom route. Put this route at the very bottom of route configuration,  routes.MapHttpRoute( name: "Error404", routeTemplate: "{*url}", defaults: new { controller = "Error", action = "Handle404" } );                     Now you need handle the case when there is no {controller} in the matching route or when there is no type with {controller} name found. You can easily handle this case and route the request to the above Handle404 method using a custom IHttpControllerSelector. Here is the definition of a custom IHttpControllerSelector, public class HttpNotFoundAwareDefaultHttpControllerSelector : DefaultHttpControllerSelector { public HttpNotFoundAwareDefaultHttpControllerSelector(HttpConfiguration configuration) : base(configuration) { } public override HttpControllerDescriptor SelectController(HttpRequestMessage request) { HttpControllerDescriptor decriptor = null; try { decriptor = base.SelectController(request); } catch (HttpResponseException ex) { var code = ex.Response.StatusCode; if (code != HttpStatusCode.NotFound) throw; var routeValues = request.GetRouteData().Values; routeValues["controller"] = "Error"; routeValues["action"] = "Handle404"; decriptor = base.SelectController(request); } return decriptor; } }                     Next, it is also required to pass the request to the above Handle404 method if no matching action method found in the selected controller due to the reason discussed above. There’s engines being made, tutorials being created, games being crafted. There’s information being shared, questions being answered and then there’s another whole community around the Xbox LIVE Indie Games themselves. For online payment of policies you can find Pay Premium Online tab which when clicked takes you to a page that lists all the policies that are due. Payments can be made using credit/debit cards and online banking systems. Almost all the Indian banks are covered as part of the online payment system. Other services that are available through the online system of LIC are : View ULIP Policies,Premium Calendar, Calculate Loan Eligibility, Revival Quote, Policy Maturity, Address Change Requests, etc. LIC Policy Status Enquiry Through Phone LIC also has a helpline/customer care  number ‘1251‘.   • Google Webmaster Tools Index Status is 0 but sitemap URL shows indexed

    I've added my site to Google Webmaster tools www.medexpress.co.uk. The site was submitted a few weeks ago. The index status shows 0 but it shows 6 URLs have been indexed in the sitemaps section. If I search in google I can see that the site is indexed and several pages appear: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=site%3Awww.medexpress.co.uk&oq=site%3Awww.medexpress.co.uk&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 My question is why is the index status 0 when the sitemap section shows several indexed pages and also the pages appear in the search engine.
