  • nginx - redirect a certain path to another domain

    Hey there. I am very unfamiliar with nginx, as a forewarning, and also can't find any actual references on the regex system they use. So right now it's a black box to me. All I want to do is redirect a user trying to go to www.mydomain.com/mydirectory/X to www.myotherdomain.com/X . Seems like I should be using the rewrite command but the syntax of the regex is eluding me. Thanks in advance.

  • Edit very large xml files in c#

    Hi I would like to create a text box which loads xml files and let users edit them. However, I cannot use XmlDocument to load since the files can be very large. I am looking for options to stream/load the xml document in chunks so that I do not get out of memory errors -- at the same time, performance is important too.   • Getting a borderless window to receive mouseMoved events (Cocoa OSX)

    I have a little popup window used for selecting images sorted by groups, and I would like to add a selection box around whatever image is being hovered over. I am trying to this by overriding the mouseMoved event for the window but it seems that a window that has a border-less style mask receives no mouseMoved events even if you have set setAcceptsMouseMoved events to YES. Is there anyway to make a borderless window receive this events?

  • Mimic Windows' 'Run' window in .NET

    I would like to mimic the Run command in Windows in my program. In other words, I would like to give the user the ability to "run" an arbitrary piece of text exactly as would happen if they typed it into the run box. While System.Diagnostics.Process.Start() gets me close, I can't seem to get certain things like environment variables such as %AppData% working. I just keep getting the message "Windows cannot find '%AppData%'..."

  • Mac OS X Snow Leopard hangs after login

    After restoring from backup following filesystem corruption my user account hangs after login (After entering my password the login window disappears and all I get is the background and a mouse pointer, no spinning wheel of death etc ..) I can login as a different user and then logout and login as my main account (sometimes!) but this is not consistant. I can login with safemode ok and have tried deleting /System/Caches, ~/Library/Caches and removing all my ~/Library/Preferences which worked once but not again. Does anyone have an any idea which logs I can look in, if any, to see whats happening after login or any other tips? I'm using 10.6.2. Cheers.

  • I accidentally hid my Gnome Panel

    I got a new tablet pc, and in attempt to hide the empathy mail icon, accidentally made the entire panel dissappear. (The one at the top that has applications/places/system, and battery life/network connections etc). I don't believe I killed it, because alt+f2, then gnome-panel does not bring it back. I've tried alt+ctrl+backspace to reset gnome, that didn't bring it back. It must just be some setting like 'hide' or something... Any tips to get it back? Thanks.

My intuition is that he scraped pixels from the screen (one per 'box'), and then fed that into some program to determine the next move. I want to be able to search in the Products index.html.erb so a user selects a type from a drop down list, clicks search and all the products matching that type are returned. I can get normal search methods working where the user enters in their search in a text box but I cannot get it working when they just select from a dropdown. Can anyone help?

    I've heard that MariaDB has better performance than MySQL-Server. I'm running software that makes an intensive use of MySQL, thats why I want to try upgrading to MariaDB. Please tell me your experiences doing this conversion, and instructions or tips. Also, which files I should take care of for making a backup of MySQL-Server, so if something goes wrong with MariaDB, I could rollback to MySQL without issues?     same as in title? I have a test server with mentioned OS and my app is .net 3.5 based. I do want to know if win 2008 r2 comes with service pack 1 for .net 3.5 from the box. And does it come with .net 3.5 sp1 family update as WELL, since after I downloaded the update, the installer says I do not have software required to update.     Hi, I have a textarea with overflow-x: auto; attributed to it. It works great when a user is typing text into the box by hand. When a user copy pastes a line from a file, however, that is bigger than my textarea, the overflow-x property does not work, instead the textarea wordwraps the long line. Is there a way (maybe javascript) to make overflow-x work on copy-paste? Thanks.

  • Windows repair console, imposible?

    Hi guys, I found an old Windows XP SP2 in my -trash- cd can and tryed it on a 30 gb FAT32 partition. Installation went fine till the copying operation was completed and XP asked for reboot. After that either it starts over again or throws invalid disk. Starting over is an infinite loop the only way I see is to choose the "Repair console" but i'm not used to a dos box. Can anyone help me through this harmful instalation? Cheers, Daniel

  • Windows vista firewall exceptions unchangeable

    Hey, I want to allow a program (iTunes) through my windows firewall, so i check it in the program or port list under the exceptions tab (in my windows firewall settings), then i click OK. When i reopen the window the box is unchecked again. Which means i can never get the program through my windows firewall. I think this is a problem due to administrators rights. Because I also can not delete the program from the list. I can however delete other programs from the list. Anybody have any ideas, tips, remarks?

    I'm experitmenting with the Twitter API (OAuth). I have a test bed that can tweet from my dev box, but fails in production. I get a status code of 424 returned when trying to tweet. I can't spot the difference between my live environment and my dev environment so really need to understand what a '424' is, but can find no documentation relating to it.
