  • deploying a simple html website with eclipse EE & tomcat 7 & router for pc not in LAN

    Hello everyone and thanks for your time, first of all - I want to make a note - I can see the website from my own pc which is the only one connected to the (netgear dgn1000) router, and I can do so with several browsers on my pc, but - when I try and do a port forwarding so that I could access this simple html file (which in the way would use a simple servlet class) I can't seem to view it I have configured my router (both the "services" and the "firewall" sections), and I have also changed my LAN properties according to my ISP's explanation (via phone) : instead of choosing the "obtain an IP address automatically" I have chosen the "use the following IP address, with IP address of 10.0.0.1 (this was also set in the router's port forwarding), Subnet mask of 255.255.255.0, default gateway by checking the same value as seen in the cmd when executing the command ipconfig /all after doing so I've changed the DNS to use the address (just the preferred and not the alternate one) given with the ipconfig /all and still - nothing :/ is it something in my network settings or in my deployment of the eclipse/tomcat ? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

  • Android source referencing missing classes

    I cloned some of the trees from the Android Open Source Project to take a look at the code, but I can't build them because they reference classes which don't seem to exist. For instance, the music application here references android.media.MediaFile which according to the package summary does not exist, as well as things like ArrayListCursor which has an old javadoc around but is absent in current documentation. So is the open source project disjoint from the released SDK? Also, is there a way to build these open source packages with the current SDK? Thanks, -JQP

  • What can cause a persistent "Reload the page to get source for" error in firebug?

    I'm trying to debug the javascript of a specific page, and I keep seeing Reload the page to get source for page.htm in Firebug. On Chrome, I'm mostly able to debug the js, but sometimes I also get a blank page. What can cause such issues? I believe I always see a blank page in Chrome if I reload while the JS console is open. If I open a new Chrome tab, load the page, and then open the JS console, everything is ok. The page I'm debugging is on a localhost server (Play Framework server), although I have seen this on other pages occasionally. This only happens with inline javascript ... js that is linked from the page is displayed fine.

  • Word in office 2007 and Windows 7 ultimate cant navigate to folders

    In word 2007 I click office button top left I click open, I get the open box, in the top address bar, I if I click on the down arrow far right (previous Locations) the drop down menu is empty just a box with nothing in it. To go anywhere from here I have to navigate via the left had pane, on all other windows systems this dropdown has enabled me to go to any location on my computer. I'm wondering if because all my word documents are on my D drive that windows 7 doesn't like it.

  • Strange error: cannot convert from 'int' to 'ios_base::openmode'

    I am using g++ to compile some code. I wrote the following snippet: bool WriteAccess = true; string Name = "my_file.txt"; ofstream File; ios_base::open_mode Mode = std::ios_base::in | std::ios_base::binary; if(WriteAccess) Mode |= std::ios_base::out | std::ios_base::trunc; File.open(Name.data(), Mode); And I receive these errors... any idea why? Error 1: invalid conversion from ‘int’ to ‘std::_Ios_Openmode’ Error 2: initializing argument 2 of ‘std::basic_filebuf<_CharT, _Traits* std::basic_filebuf<_CharT, _Traits::open(const char*, std::_Ios_Openmode) [with _CharT = char, _Traits = std::char_traits]’ As far as I could tell from a Google search, g++ is actually breaking the C++ standard here. Which I find quite astonishing, since they generally conform very strictly to the standard. Is this the case? Or am I doing something wrong.     I'm working on a project to auto-configure a user's email server settings in Java. I am extracting the mail server from his email address and looking up the MX records of that mail server using the DirContext class with com.sun.jndi.dns.DnsContextFactory. Then I'm opening a Socket to each server and testing them using a HELO command and checking the responses. My problem is that this works only when I test it with the unsecure SMTP port 25. How can I use it with the secure port 465? I tried using Secure Sockets by using SSLSocketFactory sslsocketfactory = (SSLSocketFactory)SSLSocketFactory.getDefault(); SSLSocket socket = (SSLSocket)sslsocketfactory.createSocket(mailserver, STANDARD_SMTP_PORT); But all connections get a timeout exception as follows alt1.gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com. java.net.ConnectException: Operation timed out Please help.

    I am about to write a tcp/ip data relay - application that passes a one way stream of data from one host/port to another host/port. Initially it will be generic, but later on i will customize it to the need of a specific business request. I am guessing that something generic already exists out there so my question is: Has anyone used a third party (preferably open source) data relay in a production environment, if so what is, and do you recommend it?     Hello I have an asp.net application which I used some Ajax method. in some cases I open an new window ( Full Screen ) and users must work on it. the problem is , some users report me that some times new window was blank and didnt show any content , in status bar just write connecting .... and nothing else. Just when customers closed all opening browser and open again , they can view pages. this happend when users work for a while and click open new window links before the page loaded compeletly. how can I fix this problem? regards

    I've written a log parser, with some generous and insightful help from the SO community: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2906630/keeping-the-ui-responsive-while-parsing-a-very-large-logfile Now, I'd like to be able to right click one of these logs, select "MyNewLogParser" from "Open With.." and see it open in my new program. This would require me to Change something about my XP installation to show my program in the dropdown list Change the program so that it knows to open the selected file and run the parsing. What do you call these things, and how is it done? I don't know what to search for...

    I'm trying to create a very simple Windows-XP batch file: Program1.exe Sleep 3 Program2.exe Sleep 5 Program3.exe Sleep 11 Of course, I don't want to have to exit each program, before the next 1 starts. The default for batch-files seems to be "stop until the previous program exists". How do I get this script to run as expected? Edit: The 3 executables listed above are more like "notepad" type programs. They open and run and don't just "open,run,close".

    HI all. Here is the scenario. I have port 8888 for my program to use. I build a TCP and a UDP listener on that port. (This can do, c# allows, because they are two different protocols) My question is If the network traffic is very busy, TCP sockets may refuse or signalling the other end to stop sending things, it is called congestion control, right? So if TCP is congestion controlling, other ends may not send more data, in this "TCP quiet period", UDP channel should have not that much of traffic, right? I want to figure out the TCP traffic will affect UDP traffic or not?

  • SSH Password/User problem with Cygwin sshd service

    hello I just set up SSHd through Cygwin on a Windows XP Pro box overseas using a RAT and discluded the openssh package from the install. I ran the cywin shell (from c:\cywin) and ran Now, It's under a port I know is safe and fowarded properly, but I won't share it's number. It's not a common port, but it's under 40000. Firewalls are off etc etc. I'm on the first Admin account made on the box. (It's full admin) I've run the following commands chmod +r /etc/passwd chmod +r /etc/group hmod 777 /var /*Created New Admin User Account To Be Used via SSH*/ mkpasswd -cl > /etc/passwd mkgroup --local > /etc/group I can connect locally, but not externally. I know my ports etc are fine. Any possible problems, as i really need this tunnel up :P

    Starting around the time I installed the Office 2010 Beta, Whenever I login, Windows tries to open a file named "Bob", coincidentally the first part of my username. Selecting Notepad to open it, and it contains TCP/IP network settings. I've looked for and deleted unrecognized entries in my StartUp folder, in HKLM/.../CurrentVersion/Run and in HKCU/.../CurrentVersion/Run with no luck. Is there any other place I should be looking for errant entries?

    What is the correct way to use socket_select within PHP to send and receive data? I have a connection to the server that allows for both TCP & UDP packet connections, I am utilizing both. Within these connections I'm both sending and receiving packets on the same port, but the TCP packet will be sent on one port (29999) and UDP will be sent on another port (30000). The transmission type will be that of AF_INET. The IP address will be loopback 127.0.0.1. I have many questions on how to create a socket connection within this scenario. For example, is it better to use socket_create_pair to make the connection, or use just socket_create followed by socket_connect, and then implement socket_select? There is a chance that no data will be sent from the server to the client, and it is up to the client to maintain the connection. This will be done by utilizing the time out function within the socket_select call. Should no data be sent within the time limit, the socket_select function will break and a keep alive packet can then be sent. Originally, the defined names are global in workbook A, ie. can be referenced from any worksheets within workbook A.
