    When looking up messages in a sasl log using rb:list() or rb:show(), rb seems to dump the output in the console and return 'ok'; is there any way to configure rb to get it to return the actual log message ? Thanks

    Given a infinite stream of random 0's and 1's that is from a biased (e.g. 1's are more common than 0's by a know factor) but otherwise ideal random number generator, I want to convert it into a (shorter) infinite stream that is just as ideal but also unbiased. Looking up the definition of entropy finds this graph showing how many bits of output I should, in theory, be able to get from each bit of input. The question: Is there any practical way to actually implement a converter that is nearly ideally efficient?

    I'm trying to append to a char[] array that contains blank spaces on the end. The char array for example contains the characters 'aaa'. When I append the first time the method functions properly and outputs 'aaabbb'. The initial capacity of the array is set to 80 or multiples of 80. The second time I try and append my output looks like"aaabbb bbb". Any psuedocode would be great.

    Obviously, there must be something stupid i'm doing. The unicode chart for subscripts and superscripts says #00B2 is superscript 2, but i get scrambled output. 0078 is x, but I get N, and 0120 is x. Am i reading wrong manual?   • Using ffmpeg to cut up video

    I am using FFmpeg like this e.g.: ffmpeg -i input.wmv -ss 60 -t 60 -acodec copy -vcodec copy output.wmv to cut out a section of a large file. The -ss part works fine but the -t is ignored. That is, it correctly removes the first -ss seconds but then just keeps going to the end of the input with the copy. Is there a way to use FFmpeg to cut off the end of a video without recoding it?

The problem I have, is that I have not been able to find a decent replacement for Fiddler2 that will run on linux. I have tried Wireshark, but it is perhaps too generic in what it does, and I can never really make any sense of its output.     I'm writing a module to handle dice rolling. Given x die of y sides, I'm trying to come up with a list of all potential roll combinations. This code assumes 3 die, each with 3 sides labeled 1, 2, and 3. (I realize I'm using "magic numbers" but this is just an attempt to simplify and get the base code working.) int[] set = { 1, 1, 1 }; list = diceroll.recurse(0,0, list, set); ... public ArrayList<Integer> recurse(int index, int i, ArrayList<Integer> list, int[] set){ if(index < 3){ // System.out.print("\n(looping on "+index+")\n"); for(int k=1;k<=3;k++){ // System.out.print("setting i"+index+" to "+k+" "); set[index] = k; dump(set); recurse(index+1, i, list, set); } } return list; } (dump() is a simple method to just display the contents of list[].     I'm using the MS Unity container to do dependency injection, but a "Resolve" is returning unexpected results. Is there an way I can debug this resolution? It would be great if I could view what Types/Instances are registered in the container, but I can't see where this is stored when using QuickWatch. It would also be useful if I could get the container to output some debug Traces. Any suggestions?
