The challenge The shortest code by character count that will generate a beehive from user input. A beehive is defined a a grid of hexagons in a size inputted by the user as two positive numbers greater than zero (no need to validate input). The first number (W) represents the width of the beehive - or - how many hexagons are on each row. The second number (H) represents the height of the beehive - or - how many hexagons are on each column. A Single hexagon is made from three ASCII characters: _, / and \, and three lines: __ / \ \__/ Hexagons complete each other: the first column of the beehive will be 'low', and the second will be high - alternating and repeating in the same pattern forming W hexagons. This will be repeated H times to form a total of WxH hexagons. Hi! I cant get a PHP file to send correct headers at my WAMP server. Wouldn't be a problem normally except that is phpMyAdmin that is freaking out right now. Here's the row that the file that merges the css files together in phpmyadmin uses to send the output as CSS. header('Content-Type: text/css; charset=UTF-8'); I have also putted a .htaccess file in the phpmyadmin directory: AddType text/css .css Neither is working. What can I do to make sure that this file is interpreted as a CSS by firefox?

I have a data frame where one particular column has a set of specific values (let's say, 1, 2, ..., 23). What I would like to do is to convert from this layout to the one, where the frame would have extra 23 (in this case) columns, each one representing one of the factor values. The data in these columns would be booleans indicating whether a particular row had a given factor value... ASP.NET GridView and UpdatePanel

I have a GridView, inside a UserControl, inside an UpdatePanel on a page. There's a button in the GridView which needs to fire a postback. What happens is: User clicks button - RowCommand Fires - Custom event is raised on UserControl - Page detects this and changes the active view index for a multiview and also the page title and some other controls outside the UpdatePanel. The problem is, the page posts back asyncchronously, the page title changes, but the actions requireing a full postback don't happen because a full postback doesn't occur. To register the button as a postback trigger I'm using: ImageButton btnResults = e.Row.FindControl("btnResults") as ImageButton; ScriptManager scrCurrent = ScriptManager.GetCurrent(this.Page); if (btnResults != null && scrCurrent != null) { scrCurrent.RegisterPostBackControl(btnResults); } I know this is a bit of a complicated problem, but I'd really appreciate any help.

Push a ViewController and It Pops Right Back

I have a view controller with a table view and a UISearchBar. When the view controller is first brought up, the table is populated. A click on a table row pushes another view controller, it animates up and then pops right back down and returns me to the table. It does this whether the search bar has been used or not. I do this push pop kind of action in several view controllers with not problem. My guess is that the UISearchBar is somehow getting in the way. Any one have any idea as to what I'm doing wrong?

UIImage from NSDocumentDirectory leaking memory

Hey. I currently have this code: UIImage *image = [[UIImage alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:[imagesPath stringByAppendingPathComponent:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"/%@.png", [postsArrayID objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]]]; It's loading in an image to set in a UITableViewCell. This obviously leaks a lot of memory (I do release it, two lines down after setting the cells image to be that image), and I'm not sure if it caches the image at all. Is there another way, that doesen't leak so much, I can use to load in images multiple times, like in a tableView, from the Documents-directory of my app? Thanks.

Center is links for january thru december. When you click a month links, the calendar will show that month you've clicked in the current year the calendar is on. SmartGWT Widgets not displaying properly

I have a basic GWT Maven project going. I added SmartGWT and started playing around with some widgets and nothing displays correctly. The ListGrid seems to somewhat render but things are off and even data isnt showing up (though the rows respond to indicate there is data within the row). Sorting arrows dont appear but are clickable, and filters are wildy off. Whats causing this. I deleted everything in the .css file. GWT newbie here.

Hi I need to assign a formatted date to a column in a data flow. I have added a Derived Column editor and entered the following expression: "BBD" + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,4)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),1,4) + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,2)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),6,2) + SUBSTRING((DT_WSTR,2)DATEADD("Day",30,GETDATE()),9,2) The problem is that the "Derived Column Transformation Editor" automatically assigns a Data Type of "Unicode string[DT_WSTR]" and a length of "7". Howver, the length of a string is 11, therefore the following exception is thrown each time: [Best Before Date [112]] Error: The "component "Best Before Date" (112)" failed because truncation occurred, and the truncation row disposition on "output column "Comments" (132)" specifies failure on truncation. A truncation error occurred on the specified object of the specified component. Does anyone know why the edit is insisting on a length of 7? I don't seem to be able to change this. Many thanks, Rob.

php encrypting an integer to get only alphanumeric characters?

When I use some of php's encryption functions, I end up getting a few characters I don't want (+, /, =). The problem is that my application doesn't allow these in the url. I'm wondering if there's a good way of encrypting an integer and having only alphanumeric characters in the result? I'm trying to pass some data through the url. I know it's possible to do some workarounds (put data in database and pass the id to the row or something), but I really want to try it this way. Ideas?

Log to rolling CSV file with Enterprise Library

Need logging to: Rolling file, to avoid 1 big log file. CSV format for easier look up. I can see EntLib (5.0) have Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Logging.TraceListeners.RollingFlatFileTraceListener to log to rolling log file. To make the log entries look like a CSV row, I can change the Logging.Formatters.TextFormatter.Template to put double quote around the values. Also change the Listener's Footer and Header to nothing, so they won't be output. Under normal circumstance, this would give me a well formed CSV file. However if a token value in the Template contain double quote, this would not be escaped, hence the log file become an invalid CSV file. Is there any way to resolve this? Is there any alternative solutions to this problem?

Jasper exported to Excel ignoring background color?

Have you ever had alternating background colors in a Jasper report and then exported it to Excel? The Excel export seems to ignore the alternating color. I've got a Jasper report where the rows alternating background color using the procedure referenced HERE. When I preview it using the viewer or export to PDF it works -- but not when I export to Excel. I've tried using JRXlsExporter and JExcelApiExporter both to no avail. I think it might be a side-effect of how you have to make alternating row colors in Jasper, which I despise to begin with, but have found no other way. Thanks in advance!

What i'm trying to query is when a client has started off in a city which is chester to see what city they moved to. But I dont want to be able to see if they started off in another city. Unable to specify abstract classes in TPH hierarchy in Entity Framework 4

Hi I have a TPH heirachy along the lines of: A-B-C-D A-B-C-E A-F-G-H A-F-G-I I have A as Abstract, and all the other classes are concrete with a single discriminator column. This works fine, but I want C and G to be abstract also. If I do that, and remove their discriminators from the mapping, I get error 3034 'Two entities with different keys are mapped to the same row'. I cannot see how this statement can be correct, so I assume it's a bug in some way. Is it possible to do the above? Lee

OpenLDAP with StartTLS broken on Debian Lenny

I'm trying to get OpenLDAP on Lenny to work with StartTLS. I have a Fedora 13 machine which I'm using as a client for testing. So far the Fedora client is ignoring the 'host' directive in /etc/ldap.conf when I try to connect using ldapsearch. The client wants to connect to 127.0.0.1:389 even if I specify -H ldaps://server.name on when using ldapsearch. /etc/ldap.conf on the client machine is in mode 444. Hello, I have a jquery ui autocomplete widget in a form and I'd like to preselect its value from a database. My autocomplete works in the following way: the id is a number, tha label and the value are the same and are a concatenation of id + " - " + description. When a value from the autocomplete is selected, a hidden field's value is set to the value of id. Then, the hidden field value is saved to the db when the form is submitted. When the user comes back on the page for editing, I need to reload the value from the db: I set the idden field value again and then I would like to precompile the value of the autocomplete widget with the concatenation of id + " - " + description taken form the db. I think I should trigger the event of selecting a row in the autocomplete, but I don't know how to do. Do you have any ideas?
