  • Setting ModerationInformation.Status from Approved back to pending removes

    Seeing if anyone else has had this problem and a resolution to it. I have a visual studio sequential workflow on a list (not a library) which does NOT use tasks, the approval process is done through the Approve/Reject OOTB buttons on the list item. The approval is a 2 stage approval, whereby if the 1st stage is completed (via clicking the Approve OOTB button), i reset the ModerationInformation.Status from Approved back to pending then send an email to the 2nd stage approver. My problem is, when i set the the ModerationInformation.Status back to Pending from Approved so there is never an approved version, the Creator loses permissions to view the item, and i get the "cannot find item" error from SharePoint for the person who created the item. The 1st and 2nd level approvers and anyone with approve rights CAN still see the item. Some more background information. the code i am using to update the moderationinformation is I get the properties from the workflow event and get a hook into the listitem properties.Item.ModerationInformation.Status = SPModerationStatusType.Pending; properties.Item.Update(); can anyone help.

Update: removing the meta attribute prevents the exception from occurring but the original problem still exists. I can't get the Norwegian text to show. only the default English text shows. Another Update: I know this question is getting old but i still can't get the Norwegian text to display. If anyone has some tips please post a response.

    My project is a menu that displays daily specials at a cafe. The Pointy Haired Boss(PHB) needs to add/remove items from the menu on a daily basis, so I stored all dishes with MySQL, and created a page which will load all menu items as buttons. When clicked, the button will UPDATE the item, turning it on or off. I need form data to detect which button was pressed, so my query knows which $menuItem to UPDATE. I am obliged to execute them in SQL Plus, so I receive an error message.     Right, I'm trying to make an app that has a calculation that involves a stopwatch. When a button on the calculation view is clicked a stopwatch slides in from the bottom. This all works fine, the problem I can't get my head around is how to send the recorded time back to the previous controller to update a textfield.   • Using a UITableViewController with a small-sized table?

    When using a UITableViewController, the initWithStyle: method automatically creates the underlying UITableView with - according to the documentation - "the correct dimensions". My problem is that these "correct dimensions" seem 320x460 (the iPhone's screen size), but I'm pushing this TableView/Controller pair into a UINavigationController which is itself contained in a UIView, which itself is about half the height of the screen. No frame or bounds wrangling I can come up with seems to correctly reset the table's size, and as such it's "too long", meaning there are a collection of rows that are pushed off the bottom of the screen and are not visible nor reachable by scrolling. So my question comes down to: what is the proper way to tell a UITableViewController to resize its component UITableView to a specified rectangle? Thanks! Update I've tried all the techniques suggested here to no avail, but I did find one interesting thing: if I eschew the UINavigationController altogether (which I'm not yet willing to do for production, but as an experiment), and add the table view as a direct subview of the enclosing view I mentioned, the frame size given is respected. The very moment I re-introduce the UINavigationController into the mix, no matter if it is added as a subview before or after the table view, and no matter if alloc/init it before or after the table view is added as a subview, the result is the same as it was before. I'm beginning to suspect UINavigationController isn't much of a team player... Update 2 The suggestion to check frame size after the table view on screen was a good one: turns out that the navigation controller is in fact resizing it some time in between load and display. My solution, hacky at best, has been to cache the frame given on load and to reset it if changed at the beginning of tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath:. Why there you ask? Because it's the one place I found that worked, that's why! I don't consider this a solution as it's obviously improper, but for the benefit of anyone else reading, it does seem to work.

  • Disabling Laptop (PB TJ-75) faulty card reader Linux

    My problem comes from that my laptop [PB TJ-75] has a faulty Alcor card reader. It’s 100% sure, the device is dead and unusable whatever the OS is. It cannot be disabled in BIOS [latest: Vendor: Phoenix Technologies LTD Version: V1.26 Release Date: 05/04/2010]. If I could take it apart from the main board easily, and if with that, the system would never look again for it, I’ll be very happy! Is it possible, has anyone ever tried this? Or maybe, replacing the BIOS with a more open one, which let you disable the card reader. Does this exists? Here's what I've tried to disable it so far. In Win7, I choose ‘disable’ in device manager and that’s ok. If not, the device keeps on appearing and disappearing and lot of resources are used. In Lubuntu 13.04, I got extra boot time, with the msg:'sdb, assuming drive cache, etc.’ I tried other distros (isos booted by grub). I can boot Puppy, Gparted, and Redobackup apparently without any problem. I cannot boot Debian, live or install + tried Crunchbang and Tails. I got a loop :’usb device, scsi n+1 blabla‘. I tried "nousb", no result, I have blacklisted EHCI, no result, then usb_storage module, better boot time in Lubuntu, with just the message "...data transfer failed", better shutdown time too. But, no way to use usb storage medias. In Debian, it ends with BusyBox prompt. Is it possible to just disable that Alcor card reader? Does it have a specific module? Is there a special kernel boot option that I missed? Does it have something to do with kernel recompiling, and if yes, how to do with isos? Programming a driver which says everything is ok (out of my comprehension for the moment)? Disabling device by vendor id? What is the best way?

  • Insert a datetime value with GetDate() function to a SQL server (2005) table?

    I am working (or fixing bugs) on an application which was developed in VS 2005 C#. The application saves data to a SQL server 2005. One of insert SQL statement tries to insert a time-stamp value to a field with GetDate() TSQL function as date time value. Insert into table1 (field1, ... fieldDt) values ('value1', ... GetDate()); The reason to use GetDate() function is that the SQL server may be at a remove site, and the date time may be in a difference time zone. Therefore, GetDate() will always get a date from the server. As the function can be verified in SQL Management Studio, this is what I get: SELECT GetDate(), LEN(GetDate()); -- 2010-06-10 14:04:48.293 19 One thing I realize is that the length is not up to the milliseconds, i.e., 19 is actually for '2010-06-10 14:04:48'. Anyway, the issue I have right now is that after the insert, the fieldDt actually has a date time value up to minutes, for example, '2010-06-10 14:04:00'. I am not sure why. I don't have permission to update or change the table with a trigger to update the field. My question is that how I can use a INSERT T-SQL to add a new row with a date time value ( SQL server's local date time) with a precision up to milliseconds?

  • Hibernate Bi- Directional many to many mapping advice!

    hi all, i woundered if anyone might be able to help me out. I am trying to work out what to google for (or any other ideas!!) basically i have a bidirectional many to many mapping between a user entity and a club entity (via a join table called userClubs) I now want to include a column in userClubs that represents the role so that when i call user.getClubs() I can also work out what level access they have. Is there a clever way to do this using hibernate or do i need to rethink the database structure?   • SVN checkout or export for production environment?

    In a project I am working on, we have an ongoing discussion amongst the dev team - should the production environment be deployed as a checkout from the SVN repository or as an export? The development environment is obviously a checkout, since it is constantly updated. For the production, I'm personally for checking out the main trunk, since it makes future updates easier (just run svn update). However some of the devs are against it, as svn creates files with the group/owner and permissions of the svn process (this is on a linux OS, so those things matter), and also having the .svn directories on the production seem to them to be somewhat dirty. Also, if it is a checkout - how do you push individual features to the production without including in-development code? do you use tags or branch out for each feature? any alternatives? EDIT: I might not have been clear - one of the requirement is to be able to constantly be able to push fixes to the production environment. We want to avoid a complete build (which takes much longer than a simple update) just for pushing critical fixes.

    Hello all, I am creating my own email tracking system for email marketing tracking. I have been able to determine each persons email client they are using by using the http referrer but for some reason GMAIL does not send a HTTP_REFERRER at all! So I am trying to find another way of identifying when gmail requests a transparent image from my server.   • UIWebView: webViewDidStartLoad/webViewDidFinishLoad delegate methods not called when loading certain URLs

    I have basic web browser implemented using a UIWebView. I've noticed that for some pages, none of the UIWebViewDelegate methods are called. An example page in which this happens is: http://www.youtube.com/user/google. Here are the steps to reproduce the issue (make sure you insert NSLog calls in your controller's UIWebViewDelegate methods): Load the above youtube URL into the UIWebView [notice that here, the UIWebViewDelegate methods do get called when the page loads] Touch the "Uploads" category on the page Touch any video in that category [issue: notice that a new page is loaded, but none of the UIWebView delegates are called] I know that this is not an issue of UIWebView's delegate not being set properly, since the delegate methods do get invoked when loading other links (e.g. if you try clicking on a link that takes you outside of youtube, you'll notice the delegate methods getting called). My gut feeling initially was that it might be because the page is loaded using AJAX, which may not invoke the delegate method. But then when I checked Safari, it did not exhibit this problem, so it must be something on my side. I've also noticed that Three20's TTWebController has the exact same issue as I'm having. But the problem that arises from this issue is that without the delegate methods called, I'm unable to update the UI to enable/disable the back and forward browsing buttons when new requests are loaded. And idea why this is happening or how can I work around it to update the UI when a new request is made?

Here is an image: To archive capturing click events on windows box, that would and will be sent to the other programs event messaging queue, I create a hook using winapi namely user32.dll library. This is outside JDK sandbox, so I use JNA to call the native library. This all works perfectly, but it does not close as I expect it to. My question is - How do I properly close following example program?   • Google Reader API - feed/[FEEDURL]/ is coming back as Not found

    There is one feed I'm subscribed to which always turns up as NOT FOUND when I try to use the API. I return an array of Dictionaries, containing 3 objects. The first in the list represents the user himself, like so: { FeedID = "user/MY_UNIQUE_NUMBER/state/com.google/reading-list"; Timestamp = 1273448807271463; Unread = 59; } The Unread count is very important. My client depends on downloading 59 items from Google before it refreshes. If a feed doesn't download properly, the count is off and the client won't update. An example of a working Feed is here: { FeedID = "feed/http://arstechnica.com/index.rssx"; Timestamp = 1273447158484528; Unread = 13; } The FeedID value combines with a specially formatted URL string and gives back a list of articles. The above example works fine. However, the following feed always returns NOT FOUND on Google, and if I paste the URL verbatim into a browser, it never turns up. First I populate my DataSet: adapter.AcceptChangesDuringFill = true; adapter.AcceptChangesDuringUpdate = true; adapter.Fill(dataset); To create a user: User user = new User(); user.datarow = dataset.Users.NewUsersRow(); user.Name = username; user.PasswordHash = GetHash(password); user.Rights = UserRights.None; users.Add(user); dataset.Users.AddUsersRow(user.datarow); adapter.Update(dataset); When a user property is modified: adapter.Update(dataset); Creation by itself is fine. If I take an existing user and make multiple changes, fine. Multiple creations in a row, fine. Creation followed by a property change, I get this: "Concurrency violation: the UpdateCommand affected 0 of the expected 1 records." Any ideas?

  • Ubuntu NBR karmic boot freezes at fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16

    I have a netbook (emachine e250 - equivalent to an acer aspire one) and I have Ubunutu NBR 9.10 installed on it. Every other cold boot freezes at the following error message: fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16 There is no disk activity, no activity what so ever. I have left the machine sit for over an hour and nothing. It takes a couple of hard resets to be able to boot properly. Once it boots everything works great (wireless, suspend/resume, etc.)! I have spent the last couple of weeks researching the problem and the only thing that seems to work is setting nolapic in the boot string in grub - it boots every time. Unfortunately, nolapic disables the second core and causes problems with suspend resume. At first I thought it was an fsck problem with the first partition on the hard disk as it is a hidden ntfs partition containing the windows xp recover information. So in /etc/fstab I set the partition so that it would be ignored by fsck. This didn't seem to do anything. I have these partitions: /dev/sda1 - an ntfs recovery partition /dev/sda2 - /boot /dev/sda3 - swap /dev/sda5 - / /dev/sda6 - /home I am running kernel version 2.6.31-19-generic and have all the patches (as indicated by update manager). I also have no splash screen so I can see the boot progress. I have only been using NBR since January, I have been using Ubuntu on my desktop since last June (2009-06). What logs should I be looking at? Is there a log for failed boots?

  • N-son tabbed/JsScrollbar, trying to force gif play from click of link using jquery

    Hello everyone, Let me start off by stating the obvious; I am new here. That said I hope I am not violating some standard I missed by posting this. xD For several days now I've been trying to update a rather old site of mine, to which I wont link to given that the update is so drastic that the current product on which I seek your help for doesn't resemble the old site in any other way then appearance. Anywho! I am using the tabbed div and JsScrollbar created by N-son (http://www.downloadjavascripts.com/list/javasitek60/Details.aspx) and so far have only used jquery to dynamically center content on the page. My problem however is this...I have a gif on the page that acts as a background (it's not tiled) and I'd like to be able to have it so that when you click on one of the links used in n-sons tabs (EX: news) it also causes the gif to load and play through itself once. So far all my attempts at accomplishing this myself have failed and break wither the scrollbar or prevent the content from switching when you click the tabs. (Except for one failed attempt where it all worked fine except the handle for the scrollbar would vanish upon switching tabs) I hope I've been clear in this and that someone is able to help. I know it may seem like a silly question but we're all new at some point. :P If need be I'll upload what coding I have but it is not pretty. Thank you in advance.

  • Serial: write() throttling?

    Hi everyone, I'm working on a project sending serial data to control animation of LED lights, which need to stay in sync with a sound engine. There seems to be a large serial write buffer (OSX (POSIX) + FTDI chipset usb serial device), so without manually restricting the transmission rate, the animation system can get several seconds ahead of the serial transmission. Currently I'm manually restricting the serial write speed to the baudrate (8N1 = 10 bytes serial frame per 8 bytes data, 19200 bps serial - 1920 bytes per second max), but I am having a problem with the sound drifting out of sync over time - it starts fine, but after 10 minutes there's a noticeable (100ms+) lag between the sound and the lights. A much better approach would be to be able to determine the number of bytes currently in the transmit queue, and try and keep that below a fixed threshold. Any advice appreciated.

    Hi all, I'm trying to paramaterize some queries in SSIS. After some reading, it sounds like my best option is to create one variable that contains my base sql, another that contains my criteria and a final variable that is evaluated as an expression that includes both of these. I want to end up with an SQL query that is effectively UPDATE mytable set something='bar' where something_else='foo' So my first two variables have the scope of my package and are as follows: Name: BaseSQL Data Type: String Value: UPDATE mytable set something = 'bar' where something_else = Name: MyVariable Data Type: String Value: foo My third variable has a scope of the data flow task where I want to use this SQL and is as follows: Name: SQLQuery Data Type: String Value: @[User::BaseSQL] + "'" + @[User::MyVariable] + "'" EvaluateAsExpression: True In the OLE DB Source, I then choose my connection and 'SQL command from variable' and select User::SQLQuery from the dropdown box. The Variable Value window then displays the following: @[User::BaseSQL] + "'" + @[User::MyVariable] + "'" This is as desired, and would provide the output I want from my DB. The variable name dropdown also contains User::BaseSQL and User::MyVariable so I believe that my namespaces are correct. However, when I then click preview, I get the following error when configuring an OLE DB Source (using SQL command from variable): TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio Error at Set runtime in DB [Set runtime in myDb DB [1]]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E14. An OLE DB record is available.   • How to create refresh statements for TableAdapter objects in Visual Studio?

    I am working on developing an ADO.NET data provider and an associated DDEX provider. I am unable to convince the Visual Studio TableAdapater Configuration Wizard to generate SQL statements to refresh the data table after inserts and updates. It generates the insert and delete statements but will not produce the select statements to do the refresh. The functionality referred to can be accessed by dropping a table from the Server Explorer (inside Visual Studio) onto a DataSet (e.g., DataSet1.xsd). It creates a TableAdapter object and configures SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, and INSERT statements. If you right click on the TableAdapter object, the context menu has a “Configure” option that starts the “TableAdapter Configuration Wizard”. The first dialog of that wizard has an Advanced Options button, which leads to an option titled “Refresh the data table”. When used with SQL Server tables, that option causes a statement of the form “select field1, field2, …” to be added on to the end of the commands for the TableAdapter’s InsertCommand and UpdateCommand. Do you have any idea what type property or interface might need to be exposed from the DDEX provider (or maybe the ADO.NET data provider) in order to make Visual Studio add those refresh statements to the update/insert commands? The MSDN documentation for the Advanced SQL Generation Options Dialog Box has a note stating, “Refreshing the data table is only supported on databases that support batching of SQL statements.” This seems to imply that a .NET data provider might need to expose some property indicating such behavior is supported. But I cannot find it. Any ideas?
