So I decided to try it in Ideone where it gives correct output.Can anybody point out the reason ?

    How does one go about publishing different subsets (or "views") of a single collection on the server as multiple collections on the client? Here is some pseudo-code to help illustrate my question: items collection on the server Assume that I have an items collection on the server with millions of records. Let's also assume that: 50 records have the enabled property set to true, and; 100 records have the processed property set to true. All others are set to false. items: { "_id": "uniqueid1", "title": "item #1", "enabled": false, "processed": false }, { "_id": "uniqueid2", "title": "item #2", "enabled": false, "processed": true }, ... { "_id": "uniqueid458734958", "title": "item #458734958", "enabled": true, "processed": true } Server code Let's publish two "views" of the same server collection. One will send down a cursor with 50 records, and the other will send down a cursor with 100 records.   • Application process never terminates on each run

    I am seeing an application always remains live even after closing the application using my Perl script below. Also, for the subsequent runs, it always says that "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. iperf.exe -u -s -p 5001 successful. Output was:" So every time I have to change the file name $file used in script or I have to kill the iperf.exe process in the Task Manager. Could anybody please let me know the way to get rid of it?   • DRY way of calling a method in every rails model

    Along the same lines as this question, I want to call acts_as_reportable inside every model so I can do one-off manual reports in the console in my dev environment (with a dump of the production data). What's the best way to do this? Putting acts_as_reportable if ENV['RAILS_ENV'] == "development" in every model is getting tedious and isn't very DRY at all. Everyone says monkey patching is the devil, but a mixin seems overkill. Thanks!

    I have a Windows CE console application that's entry point looks like this int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) I want to check the contents of argv[1] for "-s" convert argv[2] into an integer. I am having trouble narrowing the arguments or accessing them to test. I initially tried the following with little success if (argv[1] == L"-s") I also tried using the narrow function of wostringstream on each character but this crashed the application.   • cruise control turns off on me when i use the system process

    Cruise control service set to System - Allow user to interact with desktop for the service. I log out with my user id and cruise control turns off. Any idea what is going on here? If I start the service a console window comes up. As soon as I close it cruise control also turns off... I need it to always be on... any ideas?

    I use Emacs v. 22 (the console version, either remotely with PuTTY or locally with Konsole) as my primary text editor on Linux. It takes a while to load up each time I start it though, probably almost a second, although I never timed it. I tend to open and close Emacs a lot, because I'm more comfortable using the Bash command-line for file/directory manipulation and compiling. How can I speed up the start-up time?

    I need to test if my 304 responses are working, but my development environment is pretty hard set on force no-cache. Is there an easy way to modify the max-age value of the cache-control header before it goes out? I'm perhaps a bit optimistic in hoping chrome (or an extension, or FF) has a console command letting me alter the if-modified-since header then send the request. Maybe paste something into a telnet connection?

  • Very simple test view in MonoTouch draws a line using Core Graphics but view content is not shown

    Hi, I give up now on this very simple test I've been trying to run. I want to add a subview to my window which does nothing but draw a line from one corner of the iPhone's screen to the other and then, using touchesMoved() it is supposed to draw a line from the last to the current point. The issues: 1. Already the initial line is not visible. 2. When using Interface Builder, the initial line is visible, but drawRect() is never called, even if I call SetNeedsDisplay(). It can't be that hard...can somebody fix the code below to make it work?   • getting text that will be displayed to user from html

    Bit of a random one, i am wanting to have a play with some NLP stuff and I would like to: Get all the text that will be displayed to the user in a browser from HTML. My ideal output would not have any tags in it and would only have fullstops (and any other punctuation used) and new line characters, though i can tolerate a fairly reasonable amount of failure in this (random other stuff ending up in output). If there was a way of inserting a newline or full stop in situations where the content was likely not to continue on then that would be considered an added bonus. e.g: items in an ul or option tag could be separated by full stops (or to be honest just ignored). I am working Java, but would be interested in seeing any code that does this. I can (and will if required) come up with something to do this, just wondered if there was anything out there like this already, as it would probably be better than what I come up with in an afternoon ;-). An example of the code I might write if I do end up doing this would be to use a SAX parser to find content in p tags, strip it of any span or strong etc tags, and add a full stop if I hit a div or another p without having had a fullstop. Any pointers or suggestions very welcome.

There has been alot of inventions in the last couple of years with probably millions of programmers sharing these thoughts. So, lets test if we can squeeze the distilled knowledge of millions of StackOverflow users for this ultimate answer: Which language/framework combination in the world right now is the most expressive to do common tasks? Please provide a simple example of simplicity, add a link to more information about the language, and no more than one entry per language/framework combination. Specifications: "Web application" in this context refers to applications that runs on a server and outputs HTML/Javascript/CSS for rendering on a client browser. Any server operating system is ok. "Language/Framework combination" can for example be like Java+Struts or Java+SpringWeb or Perl+CGI or Java+ZK "Most expressive" in this context is meant to be minimal code to do common tasks. "Common tasks" include simple output/input, i.e. form specifying, displaying and processing, as well as simply styling of output. I am more concerned about minimality than about complete functionality. A decent language design can have great potential even though it is not complete.

    I'm struggling to get a handle on Meteor deps, in order to be specific my use case is: 2) When collection is changed, I want to run a jQuery function on the client side I think deps are what I'm looking for, but at the moment I have only just used: Template.templateName.set () -> return Set.find({}) ...in terms of reactivity. A solution which simply console.log's the collection each time it is changed would be more that enough.

  • Eclipse javascript character encoding

    Hi, I'd like to display some language specific characters from javascript but I can't. My app is a Java webapp and the front end is jQuery. All the characters that are sended from the server - in a JSP or with AJAX - are displayed properly. When I want to display some text hardcoded in to the javascript file it's broken. I'm using Eclipse. In the JSP's header I use: <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=UTF-8" pageEncoding="UTF-8"%> I've tried this (charset in the script element) too: <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"><c:import url="/JS/mainJS.js" /></script> In my Eclipse I've set the project properties / text file encoding to UTF-8 AND I've checked the JS files' resource properties / text file encoding that is UTF-8 too.
