    When I define a to many relationship between entities in Xcode and then generate the data class from the entity I get a header with the following methods defined: @interface PriceList (CoreDataGeneratedAccessors) - (void)addItemsObject:(PriceListItem *)value; - (void)removeItemsObject:(PriceListItem *)value; - (void)addItems:(NSSet *)value; - (void)removeItems:(NSSet *)value; @end When I attempt to call addItemsObject with the following code a doesNotRecognizeSelector exception is thrown. PriceListItem *item = [NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"PriceListItem" inManagedObjectContext:managedObjectContext]; item.cat = [attributeDict valueForKey:@"c"]; item.sel = [attributeDict valueForKey:@"s"]; [self addItemsObject:item]; From what I have read I do not have to implement these methods and that they are generated at runtime. Any ideas?

    Hello, I've a self join table when I delete or update it's id I want to delete or update all the direct and indirect affected records SQL server does not allow this type of cycle cascading I've decided to use triggers but this triggers will file recursively and they will be terminated at 34 level and I don't know the depth of records and event I disable the trigger and re enable it after completing the process how can I construct a SQL statement that achieve this logic?

Now I pass an NSError object, like this: NSError *error = nil; BOOL ok = [self validateCompanyName:@"Apple" error:&error]; I'm not sure if this matches the check for not NULL. I think it's not NULL, since I believe NULL is not nil. Maybe someone can clear this up?

    I'm using Oracle JDeveloper 11g Release 2. I created two tables A and B using SQL developer. Table A has a FK to table B. Using the Entities from Tables function, I created two JPA files from it. A has @ManyToOne annotation on FK. And also B has @OneToMany annotation to A. I don't want this. Can I remove this @OneToMany annotation automatically? public class A implements Serializable { ... @ManyToOne @JoinColumn(name = "FIELD_B") private B b; ... } public class B implements Serializable { ... @OneToMany(mappedBy = "B") private List<A> assetList; ... } I don't need @OneToMany mapping.

I'm trying to write the file like this : File.open("#{Rails.root}/public/images/#{self.id}.jpg", "w+") do |f| f.write(data) end It's not working and I don't know what to do.     I want to display the linklist widget only on a certain category. The current way the sidebar is fetched is: if (!function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar(1)) Which doesnt give me a say in the calling of the links widget. If i put an if clause there, then the rest of the widgets dont get loaded. So i either need to customize the links widget it self or find a way to call the links widget directly? And how do i check which category i'm on?

    i have created iphone game.When i pause the game using pause button i quit cliking quit button... Now when i start the game again ..the previous counter i created using this code... [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:1.0 target:self selector:@selector(updateTimerFunc) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; the timer is 100 sec and moves to zero...now it start giving the difference of twwo ,,98,96,94 if i quit the game again ans start this time the difference will become of 4 96,92 ...its keep on increasing ....what is this issue? kindly help

  • Stop Entity Framework from updating edmx model with a column that isn't needed

    I have rowguids in all my tables to help with change tracking in all my tables. I don't want/need these tables in my edmx or my entities. However, I do still need to make changes to other things sometimes so everytime i go to update model from database in the edmx it adds all the rowguids in all my tables everytime and i have to manually delete each one. Is there a way to handle this from happening? Is there a way I can maybe edit the T4 to maybe ignore that 'rowguid' column? Database first Entity framework

    I have set up a Core Data model that includes an entity, Item with a 1-M relationship with the abstract entity Place, so that an item has many places. There are several entities with the parent set to Place. I want to set up several UI elements depending on the descendent place types. I have a loop that looks something like this: for (Place *place in item.places) { } ... but I'm not sure how to detect what type the place is, and how to cast it to the proper type so that I can access its properties. How do I go about creating a new "Pool" and associating a GroupID?
