    Hello everyone I am using UIWebView to load a web page. There are 2 questions: 1.It it possible to track the percentage progress when UIWebView is loading the page? 2.I know there is property scalesPageToFit scalesPageToFit A Boolean value determining whether the webpage scales to fit the view and the user can change the scale. If I use the Google Ajax WebSearch API with, for instance, "Dummy Search" as phrase, my resultset is a different one than if I perform the same phrase over google.com. How can that be? I'm looking for something that uses Lucene, solr, or sphinx on the backend, and provides a REST API for submitting documents to index, and running searches. I could build my own EC2 AMI, but I'd have to configure EBS and other stuff, monitor it, etc. Curious if someone has already done all this and would charge per MB/GB indexed. thank you. -- James

    Hi! I need to implement HorizontalScrollView which is scrolled to predefined positions (similar to Home behaviour). It works with slow gestures, but does not work with flings. I hooked to View.onScrollChanged() and it is called when scrolling happened, but I can't determine when scrolling ends. In theory there should be a way to say that fling is over. Is there such API?

  • Snippets between desktop and laptop

    The Situation: At work, I have a nice beefy desktop running Windows Server 2008 R2 (SharePoint dev machine). My handy ThinkPad is right next to it. Every once in a while I'd like to cut and paste or share something (usually text) between the machines: for example, I might be headed out and I'd like to take send the URL I'm reading from the desktop to the laptop. Of course I can create a share or use the Admin shares and create files to get stuff back and forth, but that seems heavyweight for what I'm thinking of. I'm thinking more along the lines of sending myself an IM. How do you get little things from machine to machine? Keep a shared folder pinned to the taskbar? Send an email to yourself? Bookmark sync? While on it, I'm looking for a decent multiple clipboard handler: maybe these two functions are combined in some nice little utility? I suspect I'm missing something simple here... Thanks... I already read the example on this page, but this is only for receiving data from a RESTful-interface, not for sending new data to the server. In Java, I can use RESTlet for example, is there any possibility to use something like that for Qt, too? Or is there even a simple way to send data from Qt to RESTful, for example when I create a XML before?

  • How to get bluetooth RSSI on android after discovery

    I'm trying to write a program that can read the signal strength of a bluetooth device linked to my android 2.0 handset. Doesnt seem like android exposes anyway to get the RSSI unless it is during discovery. Is there any other way to get the signal strength of the device after the device has been detected? I read of a way to do it using NDK to access the underlying BlueZ API, but I dont know how to use that. Any help would be appreciated.

    In Apple's iPhone apps (like Contacts), they have a nice magnifying glass icon at the top of the table view index. Since the table view index API is character-based, I assume that this magnifying glass is a Unicode character. So far I've resorted to placing a question mark character there, but that looks lame. Can anyone tell me what character the magnifying glass is?

    hi, I need to come out of the application after some inactivity session I tried using session.invalidate(); but it is not working as i am using basic authentication and i redirected to JSP page where it asks for login again but it is not asking any login credentials directly logging in to application The only way to logout with basic authentication is to close the Webbrowser. I need an API such that after inactivty say 10 mins it should redirect to one JSP page without closing the browser like banking sites will display session expired please login again Thanks in advance, Satya

    Is there a way to determine what kind of data plan a device has so an app provides a less rich experience if a data plan is not available? I imagine the connector factory would still be able to return me an HTTPConnection but it would cost the user serious money for lots of data, and I'd like to be nice and prevent that. I thought there would be a way to query device capabilities in the MIDP API, but maybe it's in CLDC?

In the model, I've created the onError method, and I can access error details with $this-getDataSource()-error; However I can't redirect or set a flash message because that can only take place in the controller, so what should I be doing here to communicate the error to the user?

    Hi, Currently, i'm using the method "VkKeyScan" in the win32 api to convert a character to its virtual keycode. But the problem that this seems to have is that, when i pass small alphabets, it works fine whereas when i pass in a capital alphabet, it doesnt return the appropriate keycode and similarly with special characters like "(" or "}" .. How do i do this? Is there anyway for me to directly convert a string to its virtual equivalent without considering whether it contains capitalized or special characters? Thanks
