• Android - How to Use SQLiteDatabase.open?

  Hi all, i'm trying to use SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase( "/data/data/edwin11.myapp/databases/myapp.db", null, (SQLiteDatabase.CREATE_IF_NECESSARY | SQLiteDatabase.NO_LOCALIZED_COLLATORS)); to create/open a database instead of making use of the SQLiteOpenHelper (because i want to pass in the flag SQLiteDatabase.NO_LOCALIZED_COLLATORS. Doing some testing just before that line of code (using File.isExists) shows that the file /data/data/edwin11.myapp/databases/myapp.db does not exist. Would that be the cause of the error? (Or am i just using SQLiteDatabase.openDatabase the wrong way?) Would it help if i create the file beforehand? (Shouldn't that be taken care of by the SQLiteDatabase.CREATE_IF_NECESSARY flag that i passed in?) If creating the file manually is the way to go, is it just an empty file, or do i have to write something to it? Thanks and Regards.

• Rails Atom builder xml.tag!("activity:object-type") error

  I am creating a activity stream of my feeds according to the http://activitystrea.ms standard. I am using rails atom builder to create a valid atom feed, but when I use xml.tag!("activity:object-type", "http://activitystrea.ms/schema/1.0/person") the atom feed goes blank.On seeing the source I find the correct xml format from what I have found out the ":object" is giving the problem.

GWT module 'com.vaadin.terminal.gwt.DefaultWidgetSet' may need to be recompiled I've tried cleaning the project to no avail. As I said, I'm ramping up so I'm sure there's some simple step I'm missing or a concept I haven't grasped.

  Hi, i've being banging my head against the desk all day with the following Nhibernate problem. Each bank account has one (and only one) set of rates associated with it. The primary key of the bank account table, BankAccountID is also a foreign key and the primary key in the rates table. public class BankAccount { public virtual int BankAccountId { get; set; } public virtual string AccountName { get; set;} public virtual AccountRate AccountRate {get;set;} } public class AccountRate { public virtual int BankAccountId { get; set; } public virtual decimal Rate1 { get; set; } public virtual decimal Rate2 { get; set; } } I have the following HBM mappings for BankAccount: <class name="BankAccount" table="BankAccount"> <id name ="BankAccountId" column="BankAccountId"> <generator class="foreign"> <param name="property"> AccountRate </param> </generator> </id> <property name ="AccountName" column="AccountName" /> <one-to-one name="AccountRate" class="AccountRate" constrained="true" cascade="save-update"/> </class> and the following for AccountRate: <class name="AccountRate" table="AccountRate"> <id name ="BankAccountId" column="BankAccountId"> <generator class="native" /> </id> <property name ="Rate1" column="Rate1" /> <property name ="Rate2" column="Rate2" /> </class> An existing BankAccount object can be read from the database with no problem. However, when a new BankAccount is created , the insert statement fails with; Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'BankAccountId' The issue appears to be that the child object , AccountRate is created first and since it hasn't yet got an identifier from its uncreated parent , the insert fails. I think i'm correct in saying that if the AccountRate property on BankAccount was a collection i could use the following ? Inverse=True in order to force the parent to be inserted first. Can anyone help me with this? i Really dont want to use a collection as there is only a unidirectional one to one relationship between these tables. Thanks Paul

  Hi, I am getting java.io.EOFException while reading a binary block from lucene index. I am storing java object as byte-array in lucene index field and reading it when hit occurs. But i buffer them and then write them at once like 1000. Occasionally I also issue optimize() on index. When I write, I am re-opening IndexReader.   Hi, we have a horizontal cluster set up on JBoss 4.2. The session replication worked fine until we changed cache mode from REPL_ASYNC to REPL_SYNC to fix a issue.   I'll add a large bounty to this when Stack Overflow lets me. I'm using wkhtmltopdf to convert HTML web pages to PDFs. This works perfectly on my 32-bit dev server [unfortunately, I can't ship my machine :-p ].   I'm trying to use ruby-debug to debug this script I've written and it keeps terminating on the line, 'if FILE == $0'. I step through each line before it, and then when it gets to that line it just quits. No errors or anything, it just quits. How do I fix this?

• Eclipse standard warning/error overlay icons

  I'm writing an Eclipse plug-in... In my custom label decorator, I want to overlay a warning icon, and I'd like to use the standard one used by eclipse (the little yellow triangle). How can I get an image descriptor of this icon? I tried using workbench.getSharedImages().getImageDescriptor(ISharedImages .IMG_DEC_FIELD_WARNING), since that ID seems to match what I'm looking for, but the shared images collection doesn't actually have that image in it (so I just get a null returned). Is there some other shared image collection that I should be looking at?

And in particular, let us suppose that I care about error handling, expecting network and other errors, and instead of just being optimistic I want sensible handling of different errors. If I use the "low-level" feature of $.ajax() then it's clear how to specify an error callback, but the convenience methods of $.get(), $.post(), and .load() do not allow an error callback to be specified. What are the best practices for pessimistic error handling? Is it by registering a .ajaxError() with certain wrapped sets, or an introspection-style global error handler in $.ajaxSetup()? What would the relevant portions of code look like to initiate an autosave so that a "could not autosave" type warning is displayed if an attempted autosave fails, and perhaps a message that is customized to the type of error?   Hi, I am using the jquery validation plugin and want to use the errorPlacement function to add error messages to the fields title attribute and display just a ? next to the field. This works great when the form is submitted with the submit button but when any of the following events are triggered: - onfocusout - click - onkeyup The validation checks are run but it skips the errorPlacement function and adds the full error message after the field, like the default behaviour.
