    This query appears in mysql slow query log: it takes 11 seconds.   • Can i use a generic implicit or explicit operator? C#

    How do i change the following statement so it accepts any type instead of long? Now here is the catch, if there is no constructor i dont want it compiling. So if theres a constructor for string, long and double but no bool how do i have this one line work for all of these support types?   • BroadcastReciever doesn't show SMS not Send or Not delivered

    While using broadcastreciver for checking sms status, it shows the toast when sms is sent but shows nothing when sms is not sent or delivered (im testing it by putting an abrupt number). the code im using is the one ive seen the most on every site of checking sms delivery status. But my code is only showing the status when sms is sent successfully. Can any one get a hint of what am i doing wrong ? I hav this method in doInBackground() and so obviously im using AsyncTask. My question is this: what is the best way to handle the situation when a search engine visits a URL corresponding to a removed article? Should the app respond with a permanent redirect (301 Moved Permanently) to a "article not found" page, or is there a better way to handle this?

    I'm looking for some good tools that help to share tips, best practices, company standards, etc. amongs developers in my company. Two tools I'm currently considering are a wiki (screwturn wiki) or Sharepoint 2010. I'm wondering if there is something better suited to the task, or any input anyone has on this subject. I'd prefer something that's windows based (i.e. runs on IIS, can authenticate users against Active Directory etc) but I am open to anything.

  • Convert SQL Server Varbinary field to MYSQL, keeping data intact

    I was given the daunting task of converting a ASP website to PHP and SQL Server to MySQL, and I ran into an issue that hopefully somebody can help I have a user table which has a password field with datatype Varbinary(128), are using pwdencrypt to encrypt the password. Is there a way to transfer that over to MySQL, and somehow i need to be able to keep the password intact... how can i go about that? any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

To me, PreferenceScreen/PreferenceActivity seems perfect for the task, but the intention behind these classes seem to be configuring an actual application. I've searched, but cannot find any documentation or tutorials which covers this question. Is it possible to configure a widget using these classes, or is the only alternative to configure it through an ordinary view? Thanks for any answers!

Any idea why such different execution plans and execution times would be occuring? And ideally how to change things so that I don't need to use the temp table to get decent performance? The only real difference in the execution plans is that the temp table version introduces an index spool (eager spool) operation.
