  • odd validation error messages with authlogic

    i have an issue where when validation fails, i get messages like "{{count}} errors prohibited this {{model}} from being saved" and "{{attribute}} {{message}}". it looks like something isn't getting expanded correctly. i've tried adding validates_* stuff but it doesn't seem to help. i've also tried to search the web for an answer but when i add the '{{' and '}}' i get no results. what am i missing? how can i fix this? thanks, -peter

  • Rails precision error

    When I run this in my Rails application: my_envelope.transactions.sum(:amount) This SQL is shown in the log files: SQL (0.3ms) SELECT SUM("transactions"."amount") AS sum_id FROM "transactions" WHERE (envelope_id = 834498537) And this value is returned: <BigDecimal:1011be570,'0.2515999999 9999997E2',27(27)> As you can see, the value is 25.159999. It should be 25.16. When I run the same SQL on the database myself, the correct value is returned. I'm a little confused because I know that there are precision problems with Floats, but it is returning a BigDecimal. The SQL column type is decimal. Any ideas?

    I'm writing a small program with the OpenSSL library that is suppose to establish a connection with an SSLv3 server. This server dispenses a self-signed certificate, which causes the handshake to fail with this message: "sslv3 alert handshake failure, self signed certificate in certificate chain." Is there a way I can force the connection to proceed? I've tried calling SSL_CTX_set_verify like so: SSL_CTX_set_verify(ctx, SSL_VERIFY_NONE, NULL); But it does not seem to change anything. Any suggestions?

'&' : '?') + 'taxInclude=' + display; } </script> When passed to validation It returns that the ampersand there isn't valid, but it's absolutely vital to the function of the page, is there a way I can make the validator ignore this? I don't need to validate the page, I'm no JS expert at all I'm not sure if I can replace it with &amp;. Thanks.

    I am using FreeMat, and I have an RGB picture which is a 3D matrix contains the columns and rows of the pictures and the RGB values for each pixel. Since there is not an intrinsic function to convert RGB picture to YIQ, I have implement one.     New to android. Running Eclipse on Ubuntu 9.10 with Android SDK plugin installed and working. Trying to get some code samples from http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/get.html , and following its procedure to load said samples in Eclipse yields: Parent of resource: /home/user/android-sdk/platforms/android-4/samples/Notepad/.project is marked as read-only. chmod is not recursive, so I entered ~/android-sdk/platforms and "chmod 777 *" ie. all folders in /platforms. Still doesnt work. Appears to be be a bug in Eclipse that wants to create the project in the SDK folder rather than under ~/workspace.

  • Using Drools to provide error processing and consequence management

    Hi, I am working on a module whose purpose is to process Java exceptions and decide upon a strategy for dealing with them. The exceptions could be things I know about (explicit business exceptions eg TransformationException) or more general environmental stuff (JMS errors, IO errors etc) The facts inserted into the knowledge base are all the same class, and wrap (contain) an Exception. I want to write a rule that will explicitly match the exceptions I know how to deal with (eg TransformationException) and have another rule that catches 'everything else' The problem seems to me to be that for a fact containing a TransformationException, both rules will fire and the output will be uncertain. How would I go about writing such exclusive rules without relying on salience to steer the order of execution (this seems to be bad practice from what I have read)? I have a solution in place that I am not happy with whereby the outcome depends on the order in which the rules are defined in my .drl.
