    Hi, I use h:selectOneRadio tag. I need to set the cursor focus to first radio field. <f:view> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8"> </head> <body> <h:form id="focusForm" > <h:selectOneRadio id="testRadioId" value=""> <f:selectItem id="si1" itemLabel="JSF" /> <f:selectItem id="si2" itemLabel="JSP" /> </h:selectOneRadio> </h:form> </body></html></f:view> here The Firefox (browser) assign id :focusForm:testRadioId:0 that field. So i use the following script: document.getElementById("focusForm:testRadioId:0").focus(); But, Some times, i may change dynamically disable the radio field from backing bean. <h:selectOneRadio id="testRadioId" value=""> <f:selectItem id="si1" itemLabel="JSF" itemDisabled="true"/> <f:selectItem id="si2" itemLabel="JSP" /> </h:selectOneRadio> So here i disable the first radio button.   • How to improve the use of Delphi Frames

    I've used frames in Delphi for years, and they are one of the most powerful features of the VCL, but standard use of them seems to have some risk such as: It's easy to accidentally move or edit the frame sub-components on a frame's host form without realising that you are 'tweaking' with the frame - I know this does not affect the original frame code, but it's generally not what you would want. When working with the frame you are still exposed to its sub-components for visual editing, even when that frame is years old and should not be touched. So I got to thinking.... Is there a way of 'grouping' components such that their positions are 'locked'? This would be useful for finished forms as well as frames. Often other developers return code to me where only the form bounds have changed and even they did not intend any change. Is there any way of turning a frame and its components into a single Delphi component? If so, the frame internals would be completely hidden and its useability would increase further. I'm interested in any thoughts... Brian.

    I'm developing a pure JavaEE6 application with JSF 2.0 and Glassfish. My JSF implementation is Primefaces (beside Mojarra provided by Glassfish). I want to verify if the values of 2 password fields in a JSF form are equal. With Seam, there is the neat component <s:validateEquality for="pw1"/>. I want do to the same without Seam, just using JSF (or maybe a component of a JSF library). Until now i only saw examples which validate the form with a custom validator. But i would like to compare the fields without writing Java code or Javascript code. Is that possible?     I have two models a Company and a User the Company has_many :users and the User belongs_to :company. It prints "yes" (no quotes). However, the if statement will not respond. Any idea why it's doing this?

  • Is it possible to interop with Thunderbird using C#?

    Here's the latest hurdle in my ongoing quest to automate my job: All email in the company goes through 4 different email adresses, switching randomly back and forth (with a note attached in the global share: please set "keep email on server") All logic related to email is contained in a nice big Thunderbird profile, which gets copied back and forth to new machines; this includes sorting invoices into 5 different "folders", the list of VIP adresses to send notifications, and the VIP level of those customers I only need the contents of those folders (the attachments, anyway) The question: is there a way to ask Thunderbird for those attachments and lists from C#? Alternatively, can Outlook be set up to synchronize with Thunderbird? Where do I start reading? Ditching Thunderbird is not an option right now, I need to keep up with changes to the VIP list. P.S. I will set up a real email server right after Monkey saves me enough time to convince people about it.

I need a single form to allow a person to register but I want to normalise the data so that I can add more skills at a later time.   • How do you determine subtype of an entity using Inheritance with Entity Framework 4?

    I am just starting to use the Entity Framework 4 for the first time ever. So far I am liking it but I am a bit confused on how to correctly do inheritance. I am doing a model-first approach, and I have my Person entity with two subtype entities, Employee and Client. EF is correctly using the table per type approach, however I can't seem to figure out how to determine what type of a Person a specific object is. For example, if I do something like var people = from p in entities.Person select p; return people.ToList<Person>(); In my list that I form from this, all I care about is the Id field so i don't want to actually query all the subtype tables (this is a webpage list with links, so all I need is the name and the Id, all in the Persons table). However, I want to form different lists using this one query, one for each type of person (so one list for Clients and another for Employees). The issue is if I have a Person entity, I can't see any way to determine if that entity is a Client or an Employee without querying the Client or Employee tables directly. How can I easily determine the subtype of an entity without performing a bunch of additional database queries?

If the project is placed into a debug mode you can follow through actionperformed event on the button it hits the previous() method and jumps over the remaining code in the method.     Hello All, Has anyone experience this weird issue on safari? Textbox autofill is not at its correct position, please see screenshot below. I have been searching for answers in google for almost a day, still no luck. This is the built-in autofill feature of safari.     I am building a CAD-file converter on top of two libraries (Opencascade and DWF Toolkit). However, my question is plattform agnostic: Given: I have generated a mesh as a list of triangular faces form a model constructed through my application. Each Triangle is defined through three vertexes, which consist of three floats (x, y & z coordinate). Since the triangles form a mesh, most of the vertices are shared by more then one triangle. Goal: I need to find the list of unique vertices, and to generate an array of faces consisting of tuples of three indices in this list. What i want to do is this: //step 1: build a list of unique vertices for each triangle for each vertex in triangle if not vertex in listOfVertices Add vertex to listOfVertices //step 2: build a list of faces for each triangle for each vertex in triangle Get Vertex Index From listOfvertices AddToMap(vertex Index, triangle) While I do have an implementation which does this, step1 (the generation of the list of unique vertices) is really slow in the order of O(n!), since each vertex is compared to all vertices already in the list. I thought "Hey, lets build a hashmap of my vertices' components using std::map, that ought to speed things up!", only to find that generating a unique key from three floating point values is not a trivial task. Here, the experts of stackoverflow come into play: I need some kind of hash-function which works on 3 floats, or any other function generating a unique value from a 3d-vertex position.

    I'm new to django, so please feel free to tell me if I'm doing this incorrectly. I am trying to create a django ordering system. My order model: class Order(models.Model): ordered_by = models.ForeignKey(User, limit_choices_to = {'groups__name': "Managers", 'is_active': 1}) in my admin ANY user can enter an order, but ordered_by must be someone in the group "managers" (this is the behavior I want). Now, if the logged in user happens to be a manager I want it to automatically fill in the field with that logged in user. It would be nice to have the user's real name listed. Do I need to use the super() function somehow to pass on this info? or something completely different?

In that form I have two fields (each in it's own cell): one to select who paid (single selection), and another to select people expense is paid for (multiple selection). Both fields open a new TableViewController included in an UINavigationController. Single select field (Paid By) holds an object Membership Multiple select field (Paid For) holds an object NSMutableArray Both vars are being sent to the new controller identically the same way: mySingleSelectController.crSelectedMember = self.crPaidByMember; myMultipleSelectController.crSelectedMembers = self.crSelectedMembers; From Paid for controller I use didSelectAtIndexPath method to set a mutable array of Memberships for whom is paid: if ([[tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:indexPath] accessoryType] == UITableViewCellAccessoryCheckmark) { [self.crSelectedMembers removeObject:[self.crGroupMembers objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]; //... } else { [self.crSelectedMembers addObject:[self.crGroupMembers objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]; //... } So far everything goes well. An mutable array (crSelectedMembers) is perfectly set from child view. But... I have trouble setting Membership object. From Paid By controller I use didSelectAtIndexPath to set Membership: [self setCrSelectedMember:[crGroupMembers objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]]; By NSlogging crSelectedMember I get the right selected member in self, but in parent view, to which ivar is pointed, nothing is changed. Am I doing something wrong? Cause I CAN call the method of crSelectedMembers, but I can't change the value of crSelectedMember.

    I have an absolutely positioned input box in a form. The input box has transparent background: .form-page input[type="text"] { border: none; background-color: transparent; /* Other stuff: font-weight, font-size */ } Surprisingly, I cannot select this input box by clicking on it in IE8. It works perfectly in Firefox however. The same happens for background: none. When I change the background color: background-color: red; It works fine, so this is issue associated with transparent background. Setting a border makes the input box selectable by clicking on its border only. Is there a workaround to have clickable input box with transparent background working in IE8? Update: Example. Uncomment background-color and the inputbox is selectable.   • click() not behaving like user click

    I have searched for a solution to this for the last several hours but to no avail. When I click on a button that has a return false in OnClientClick, no postback occurs to the server. When I use jquery to trigger the click function of the button, OnClientClick fires first, but regardless of the return value, a postback occurs. Here's a simple sample... <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <asp:Button ID="Button2" OnClientClick="$('#Button1').click();" runat="server" Text="Trigger" /><br /> <asp:Button ID="Button1" OnClick="Button1_Click" OnClientClick="return false;" runat="server" Text="Button" /> </div> </form> So, in this example, when Button1 is clicked normally, no postback occurs. When Button2 is clicked, a postback always occurs. Is this a bug or intended behavior?

However, the concurrency check doesn't work because in the Post, I'm re-retreiving the current entity right before I attempt to update it. However, with EF, I don't know how to use the fanciness of SaveChanges() but attach my thisIssue to the context. I tried to call edmx.Issues.Attach(thisIssue) but I get The object cannot be attached because it is already in the object context. An object can only be reattached when it is in an unchanged state. How do I handle concurrency in MVC with EF and/or how do I properly Attach my edited object to the context? Thanks in advance

    What is a good pattern for sharing data between related views?. I have an application where 1 form contains many small views, each views behaves independently from each other more or less (they communicate/interact via an event bus). Every so often I need to pass the same objects to the child views. Sometimes I need this same object to be passed to a child view and then the child passes it onto another child itself contains. What is a good approach to sharing this data between all the views contained within the parent form (view) ? I have looked into CAB and their approach and every "view" has a "root work item" this work item has dictionary that contains a shared "state" between the views that are contained. Is this the best approach? just a shared dictionary all the views under a root view can access? My current approach right now is to have a function on the view that allows one to set the object for that view. Something like view.SetCustomer(Customer c); then if the view contains a child view it knows to set it on the child view ala: this.childview1.SetCustomer(c); The application is written in C# 3.5, for winforms using MVP with structure map as a IoC/DI provider.

  • JSF Render response programmatically

    I have one parent page with a parentManagedBean (attached to Session Scope). On click of a button on this parent page, one popup comes which has a childManagedBean (attached to Request scope). Now ChildManagedBean holds a reference to parentManaged bean through JSF's managed property facility. On this popup window, user selects some option which populates a large value object. I use the managed property of childManagedBean to set the values from this large object to that of parentManagedBean. Problem is - The parent page shows a link, on click of which a popup comes, on selection of the popup, the popup disappears and set the values to the parentManaged bean. So far so good, but the newly set values need to appear on the parent page. This is where I am stuck. How to programmatically render the master page/render page when I am at the child managed bean? Is there a way I can get handle of the parent page and refresh it? Note: I'm using JSF 1.1 EDIT- After following the solution of "resubmit-ing the form" from javascript, I am seeing that the old form is getting resubmitting which overwrites all of my changed values.
