When I randomly remove some modules from my GWT app it works again, so I'm guessing it is too large for ASM to compile. Any suggestions? Program will exist. testing2 is my class and a source file exists but Ecplise doesn't seem to build the .class file. Maybe I hit the wrong hotkey and changed accidently some setting?

• VB Project Template for Monobjc in MonoDevelop?

  After installing Monobjc and playing around with the Monobjc Application Project under C# in MonoDevelop, I noticed that there is only an empty Monobjc project under the VB section. Obviously this template adds all the correct references but doesn't add the basic files for the application to run. I've tried creating a class with: Imports System Imports Monobjc Imports Monobjc.Cocoa Class Application Public Sub Main(Byval args() As String) ObjectiveCRuntime.LoadFramework("Cocoa") ObjectiveCRuntime.Initialize() End Sub End Class Obviously I'm not loading the NIB there either, as I haven't added that in either, but if I try to build this I get: /Source/VB_Sample/VB_Sample/<MyGenerator>(1,1): Error VBNC30420: Could not find a 'Sub Main' in ''. (VBNC30420) (VB_Sample) Where should I be putting the Sub Main? Also if I add in a xib file from IB, how do I generate the designer code for the partial AppDelegate class? Any help would be appreciated.

• MVC - Calling Controller Methods

  Hello, My application is following the MVC design pattern. The problem I keep running into is needing to call methods inside a Controller class from outside that Controller class (ex. A View class wants to call a Controller method, or a Manager class wants to call a Controller method). Is calling Controller methods in this way allowed in MVC? If it's allowed, what's the proper way to do it? According to the version of MVC that I am following (there seems to be so many different versions out there), the View knows of the Model, and the Controller knows of the View. Doing it this way, I can't access the controller. Here's the best site I've found and the one describing the version of MVC I'm following: http://leepoint.net/notes-java/GUI/structure/40mvc.html. • Limit foreign key choices in select in an inline form in admin

The logic is of the model is: A Building has many Rooms A Room may be inside another Room (a closet, for instance--ForeignKey on 'self') A Room can only in inside of another Room in the same building (this is the tricky part) Here's the code I have: #spaces/models.py from django.db import models class Building(models.Model): name=models.CharField(max_length=32) def __unicode__(self): return self.name class Room(models.Model): number=models.CharField(max_length=8) building=models.ForeignKey(Building) inside_room=models.ForeignKey('self',blank=True,null=True) def __unicode__(self): return self.number and: #spaces/admin.py from ex.spaces.models import Building, Room from django.contrib import admin class RoomAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): pass class RoomInline(admin.TabularInline): model = Room extra = 2 class BuildingAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin): inlines=[RoomInline] admin.site.register(Building, BuildingAdmin) admin.site.register(Room) The inline will display only rooms in the current building (which is what I want). The problem, though, is that for the inside_room drop down, it displays all of the rooms in the Rooms table (including those in other buildings). In the inline of rooms, I need to limit the inside_room choices to only rooms which are in the current building being displayed by the main form. I can't figure out a way to do it with either a limit_choices_to in the model, nor can I figure out how exactly to override the admin's inline formset properly (I feel like I should be somehow create a custom inline form, pass the building_id of the main form to the custom inline, then limit the queryset for the field's choices based on that--but I just can't wrap my head around how to do it). Maybe this is too complex for the admin site, but it seems like something that would be generally useful... Thanks again for your help!

• How do I use a different image for each JQuery UI Slider handle

  I'm using a JQuery UI slider which has two handles (a.k.a range slider). I know how to style the first handle: .ui-slider-horizontal .ui-slider-handle {background: white url(http://stackoverflow.com/content/img/so/vote-arrow-down.png) no-repeat scroll 50% 50%;} But how do I style the second handle differently?   I have created a very simple sharepoint timer job. All i want it to do is iterate through a list and update each list item so that it triggers an existing workflow that works fine. In other words all i am trying to do is work around the limitation that workflows cannot be triggered on a scheduled basis. I have written a class that inherits from SPJobDefinition that does the work and i have a class that inherits from SPFeatureReceiver to install and activate it. I have created the feature using SPVisualdev that my coleagues have used in the past for other SP development.   Hello! I'm using Richfaces + HibernateQuery to create a data list. I'm trying to use Hibernate Projections to group my query result. Here is the code: final DetachedCriteria criteria = DetachedCriteria .forClass(Class.class, "c") .setProjection(Projections.projectionList() .add(Projections.groupProperty("c.id"))); ... in the .xhtml file i have the following code: <rich:dataTable width="100%" id="dataTable" value="#{myBean.dataModel}" var="row"> <f:facet name="header"> <rich:columnGroup> ...... </rich:columnGroup> </f:facet> <h:column> <h:outputText value="#{row.id}"/> </h:column> <h:column> <h:outputText value="#{row.name}"/> </h:column> But when i run the page it gives me the following error: Error: value="#{row.id}": The class 'java.lang.Long' does not have the property 'id'. If i take out the Projection from the code it works correctly, but it doesn't group the result. So, which mistake could be happening here? • Setting nested object to null when combobox has empty value

  Hello, I have a Class which models a User and another which models his country. Something like this: public class User{ private Country country; //other attributes and getter/setters } public class Country{ private Integer id; private String name; //other attributes and getter/setters } I have a Spring form where I have a combobox so the user can select his country or can select the undefined option to indicate he doen't want to provide this information. So I have something like this: <form:select path="country"> <form:option value="">-Select one-</form:option> <form:options items="${countries}" itemLabel="name" itemValue="id"/> </form:select> In my controller I get the autopopulated object with the user information and I want to have country set to null when the "-Select one-" option has been selected. So I have set a initBinder with a custom editor like this: @InitBinder protected void initBinder(WebDataBinder binder) throws ServletException { binder.registerCustomEditor(Country.class, "country", new CustomCountryEditor()); } and my editor do something like this: public class CustomCountryEditor(){ @Override public String getAsText() { //I return the Id of the country } @Override public void setAsText(String str) { //I search in the database for a country with id = new Integer(str) //and set country to that value //or I set country to null in case str == null } } When I submit the form it works because when I have country set to null when I have selected "-Select one-" option or the instance of the country selected. The problem is that when I load the form I have a method like the following one to load the user information. @ModelAttribute("user") public User getUser(){ //loads user from database } The object I get from getUser() has country set to a specific country (not a null value), but in the combobox is not selected any option. I've debugged the application and the CustomCountryEditor works good when setting and getting the text, thoughgetAsText method is called for every item in the list "countries" not only for the "country" field. Any idea? Is there a better way to set null the country object when I select no country option in the combobox? Thanks

  I'm overlaying the mapview and using RegexKitLite. I couldn't make it work. I've downloaded .m and .h files and added to the project. Also I tried, adding libicucore.dylib or libicucore.A.dlib or adding -licucore to other compiler flags field.   I have a web application using Spring 2.5.6 and Spring Security 2.0.4. I have implemented a working login page, which authenticates the user against a web service. • Calling "Base-Getter" in Overriding Getter of Property

  I have a base class "Parent" like this: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Text; namespace ConsoleApplication1 { class Parent { private int parentVirtualInt = -1; public virtual int VirtualProperty { get { return parentVirtualInt; } set { if(parentVirtualInt != value) { parentVirtualInt = value; } } } } } and a child class like this: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Text; namespace ConsoleApplication1 { class Child : Parent { public override int VirtualProperty { get { if(base.VirtualProperty > 0) { throw new ApplicationException("Dummy Ex"); } return base.VirtualProperty; } set { if(base.VirtualProperty != value) { base.VirtualProperty = value; } } } } } Note that the getter in Child is calling the getter of Parent (or at least this is what I intend). I now use the "Child" class by instantiating it, assigning a value (let's say 4) to its VirtualProperty and then reading the property again. Child c = new Child(); c.VirtualProperty = 4; Console.Out.WriteLine("Child.VirtualProperty: " + c.VirtualProperty); When I run this, I obviously get an ApplicationException saying "Dummy Ex". But if I set a breakpoint on the line if(base.VirtualProperty > 0) in Child and check the value of base.VirtualProperty (by hovering the mouse over it) before the exception can be thrown (I assume(d)), I already get the Exception. From this I convey that the statement base.VirtualProperty in the "Child-Getter calls itself"; kind of. What I would like to achieve is the same behavior I get when I change the definition of parentVirutalInt (in Parent) to protected and use base.parentVirtualInt in the Getter of Child instead of base.VirtualProperty. And I don't yet see why this is not working. Can anybody shed some light on this? I feel that overridden properties behave differently than overridden methods? By the way: I am doing something very similar with subclassing a class I do not have any control over (this is the main reason why my "workaround" is not an option). Kind regards

• More issues with IntelliJ 9.0.1 "Hello World" in Scala - Predef version 5.0 vs 4.1

  Any ideas what could cause this? Scala signature Predef has wrong version Expected 5.0 found: 4.1 in .... scala-library.jar I tried both versions 2.7.6 and 2.8 RC1 of scala-*.jar, the result was the same. JDK is 1.6.u20. UPDATE Today uninstalled IntelliJ 9.0.1, and installed 9.0.2 Early Availability, with the 4/14 stable version of the Scala plug-in.   I was trying to follow this tutorial in order to create my own restful web-service using Spring framework. The client do a GET request to, let's say http://api.myapp/app/students and the server returns an xml version of the object classroom: @XmlRootElement(name = "class") public class Classroom { private String classId = null; private ArrayList<Student> students = null; public Classroom() { } public String getClassId() { return classId; } public void setClassId(String classId) { this.classId = classId; } @XmlElement(name="student") public ArrayList<Student> getStudents() { return students; } public void setStudents(ArrayList<Student> students) { this.students = students; } } The object Student is another bean containing only Strings. In my app-servlet.xml i copied this lines: <bean id="studentsView" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.xml.MarshallingView"> <constructor-arg ref="jaxbMarshaller" /> </bean> <!-- JAXB2 marshaller. Automagically turns beans into xml --> <bean id="jaxbMarshaller" class="org.springframework.oxm.jaxb.Jaxb2Marshaller"> <property name="classesToBeBound"> <list> <value>com.spring.datasource.Classroom</value> <value>com.spring.datasource.Student</value> </list> </property> </bean> Now my question is: what if i wanted to insert some non-string objects as class variables? Let's say i want a tag containing the String version of an InetAddress, such as <inetAddress>192.168.1.1</inetAddress> How can i force JAXB to call the method inetAddress.toString() in such a way that it appears as a String in the xml? In the returned xml non-string objects are ignored!

  Hi folks, I'm saving contacts (email, mobile phone, ICQ, AIM etc.) for people like this: class Person { static hasMany = { contacts: Contact } } class Contact { String code ContactType type } class ContactType { String name } In my view, I've written some Templates for displaying each contact with a select-box for the contact-type and a textfield for the code, spiced up with some JavaScript for adding and deleting. My question is: Is there an easy and elegant way to update the data similar to personInstance.properties = params or do I have to read out all the fields, deleting removed, updating changed and adding new ones?

  I have created a UIMenuController and have set it a custom menu item like so: UIMenuController *menuController = [UIMenuController sharedMenuController]; UIMenuItem *item1 = [[UIMenuItem alloc] initWithTitle:@"Do This" action:@selector(item1)]; [menuController setMenuItems:[NSArray arrayWithObject:item1]]; But I wanted that object to be the only one to appear so I added this code: - (BOOL)canPerformAction: (SEL)action withSender: (id)sender { BOOL answer = NO; if (action == @selector(item1)) answer = YES; return answer; } The problem is it still shows other## Heading ## items, such as "Select", "Select All" and "Paste". This may have something to do with this being displayed in a UITextView. But how do I stop if from displaying all other items?
