  • Error installing Copy.com client

    - by jimirings
I'm trying to install copy.com's client on Ubuntu 13.10 but when I do, I get the following error message: Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" (CopyAgent:4430): LIBDBUSMENU-GTK-CRITICAL **: watch_submenu: assertion 'GTK_IS_MENU_SHELL(menu)' failed From there, it initially appears that the Copy client installs correctly. I am prompted to login and their icon shows up in the task bar. However, sync does not work properly. Items placed in my Copy folder on other devices (or through the web interface) sometimes download to this machine, and sometimes don't. I have investigated the first error message and found this solution, that I should insall the libcanberra-gtk-module. But when trying to install it, it is already installed. Just to be sure, I reinstalled it but it seems to have had no effect. I attempted to investigate the second error message and found that lots of different programs give similar error messages, but all of the solutions I could find seemed to be specific to the program that was under discussion on that particular thread. Any thoughts on how I could solve this? Or at least what I can try next?

  • exim4 redirect mail sent to *@domain1.example.com to *@domain2.example.com

    - by nightcoder
Current situation: We have a VPS that hosts a website example.org. Exim is configured to work as a smarthost. All emails sent through exim are successfully relayed to another mail server (that is working on example.com). Goal: To forward mail sent to *@example.org to *@example.com, i.e. change the recipient's address from *@example.org to *@example.com. Problem: If I send email to address *@example.org, then it seems exim doesn't change the address, it still relays the message to another mail server but recipient is still *@example.org. Maybe the redirect is not applied for some reason. Configuration and logs: /etc/exim4/update-exim4.conf.conf: dc_eximconfig_configtype='smarthost' dc_other_hostnames='' dc_local_interfaces='' dc_readhost='example.org' dc_relay_domains='example.org' dc_minimaldns='false' dc_relay_nets='0.0.0.0/32' dc_smarthost='example.com::26' CFILEMODE='644' dc_use_split_config='false' dc_hide_mailname='true' dc_mailname_in_oh='true' dc_localdelivery='maildir_home' /etc/exim4/conf.d/router/999_exim4-config_redirect (created by me): domain_redirect: debug_print = "R: forward for $local_part@$domain" driver = redirect domains = example.org data = it@example.com (for now data is set to a specific address for simplicity and testing) exim log when sending email to [email protected] (should be redirected to [email protected]): 2012-03-20 19:40:07 1SA4ud-0005Dw-7k <= [email protected] U=www-data P=local S=657 2012-03-20 19:40:08 1SA4ud-0005Dw-7k => [email protected] R=smarthost T=remote_smtp_smarthost H=domain2.com [184.172.146.66] X=TLS1.0:RSA_AES_256_CBC_SHA1:32 DN="C=US,2.5.4.17=#13053737303932,ST=TX,L=Houston,STREET=Suite 400,STREET=11251 Northwest Freeway,O=HostGator.com,OU=HostGator.com,OU=Comodo PremiumSSL Wildcard,CN=*.hostgator.com" 2012-03-20 19:40:08 1SA4ud-0005Dw-7k Completed So, the address is not changed :( Please help! • WordPress: can't access WordPress.com and other external sites?

    - by Rax Olgud
Hello, I recently started a WordPress blog using hosting at MyDomain (they offer the application "natively"). The blog works fine, however I have two plugins I can't seem to install correctly. First, the WordPress.com Stats plugin requires the API Key. When I input it, I get the following message: Error from last API Key attempt: Your blog was unable to connect to WordPress.com. Please ask your host for help. (transport error - could not open socket: 110 Connection timed out) Second, the Akismet plugin is not configured. When I go to Akismet page to insert my API key, it has the following message: There was a problem connecting to the Akismet server. Please check your server configuration. I assume the two issues are related... I approached my hosting provider about the subject and all they said is that they don't support WordPress, only provide means to install it. To clarify, up to this point I have only been able to install plugins that don't require an API key. What can I do to diagnose the problem and fix it? As a work-around, are there comparable stats and anti-spam plugins that don't require an API key? Many thanks.

  • Is there any documentation on IdentityUnmarshal interface?

    - by sharptooth
Whenever I put my component into COM+ and call CoCreateInstance() on the client the following happens: the runtime instantiates the objecs (calls IClassFactory::CreateInstance()) the runtime calls QueryInterface() for the interface specified in teh CoCreateInstance() call the runtime calls QueryInterface() for IdentityUnmarshal interface ({0000001b-0000-0000-c000-000000000046}) The only thing I can find is the declaration in comdef.h that there exists IdentityUnmarshal interface with that interface id. Is there any more information on it?

  • CVV Code For Authorize.com using osCommerce

    - by user3567
Hi I need to add a CVV code for verifying credit cards upon check out on my osCommerece shopping cart. I think this will involve a code for the authorize.net php and the checkout processing php but not sure. Found this great write up, but it is only for the authorize.net php and it doesn't create a filed for the CVV to be keyed. Also it throws an error with the 'echo validate.' Can't seem to find anything in any forums for osCommerce or any place out. Hoping someone here will have some knowledge. Thanks.

  • redirect traffic to www.example.com through DNS from example.com

    - by ChrisMuench
Hello, I have a bit of a unique problem. for the domain (example.com) I want people to go to www.example.com however I'm also throwing GSLB into the mix. for GSLB the devices(one in each datacenter) need to be the nameserver for portion of the domain that they are going to answer for(www.example.com) so I know I can make the NS record of www.example.com just fine and have it point to each GSLB device. However that only helps for www.example.com NOT example.com. I don't want to make my root NS of example.com my GSLB as my enterprise managed DNS provider does an excellent job of all DNS stuff. any ideas?

  • Rob Blackwell on interoperability and Azure

    - by Eric Nelson
At QCon in March we had a sample Azure application implemented in both Java and Ruby to demonstrate that the Windows Azure Platform is not just about .NET. The following is an interesting interview with Rob Blackwell, the R&D director of the partner who implemented the application. UK Interoperability Team Interviews Rob Blackwell, R&D Director at Active Web Solutions. Is Microsoft taking interoperability seriously? Yes. In the past, I think Microsoft has, quite rightly come in for criticism, but architects and developers should look at this again. The Interoperability Bridges site (http://www.interoperabilitybridges.com/ ) shows a wide range of projects that allow interoperability from Java, Ruby and PHP for example. The Windows Azure platform has been architected with interoperable APIs in mind. It's straightforward to access the various storage facilities from just about any language or platform. Azure compute is capable of running more than just C# applications! Why is interoperability important to you? My company provides consultancy and bespoke development services. We're a Microsoft Gold Partner, but we live in the real world where companies have a mix of technologies provided by a variety of vendors. When developing an enterprise software solution, you rarely have a completely blank canvas. We often see integration scenarios where we need to exchange data with legacy systems. It's not unusual to see modern Silverlight applications being built on top of Java or Mainframe based back ends. Could you give us some examples of where interoperability has been important for your projects? We developed an innovative Sea Safety system for the RNLI Lifeboats here in the UK. Commercial Fishing is one of the most dangerous professions and we helped developed the MOB Guardian System which uses satellite technology and man overboard devices to raise the alarm when a fisherman gets into trouble. The solution is implemented in .NET running on Windows, but without interoperable standards, it would have been impossible to communicate with the satellite gateway technology. For more information, please see the case study: http://www.microsoft.com/casestudies/Case_Study_Detail.aspx?CaseStudyID=4000005892 More recently, we were asked to build a web site to accompany the QCon 2010 conference in London to help demonstrate and promote interoperability. We built the site using Java and Restlet and hosted it in Windows Azure Compute. The site accepts feedback from visitors and all the data is stored in Windows Azure Storage. We also ported the application to Ruby on Rails for demonstration purposes. Visitors to the stand were surprised that this was even possible. Why should Java developers be interested in Windows Azure? Windows Azure Storage consists of Blobs, Queues and Tables. The storage is scalable, durable, secure and cost-effective. Using the WindowsAzure4j library, it's easy to use, and takes just a few lines of code. If you are writing an application with large data storage requirements, or you want an offsite backup, it makes a lot of sense. Running Java applications in Azure Compute is straightforward with tools like the Tomcat Solution Accelerator (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/winazuretomcat )and AzureRunMe (http://azurerunme.codeplex.com/ ). The Windows Azure AppFabric Service Bus can also be used to connect heterogeneous systems running on different networks and in different data centres. How can The Service Bus be considered an interoperability solution? I think that the Windows Azure AppFabric Service Bus is one of Microsoft’s best kept secrets. Think of it as “a globally scalable application plumbing kit in the sky”. If you have used Enterprise Service Buses before, you’ll be familiar with the concept. Applications can connect to the service bus to securely exchange data – these can be point to point or multicast links. With the AppFabric Service Bus, the applications can exist anywhere that has access to the Internet and the connections can traverse firewalls. This makes it easy to extend or scale your application or reach out to other networks and technologies. For example, let’s say you have a SQL Server database running on premises and you want to expose the data to a Java application running in the cloud. You could set up a point to point Service Bus connection and use JDBC. Traditionally this would have been difficult or impossible without punching holes in firewalls and compromising security. Rob Blackwell is R&D Director at Active Web Solutions, www.aws.net , a Microsoft Gold Partner specialising in leading edge software solutions. He is an occasional writer and conference speaker and blogs at www.robblackwell.org.uk Related Links: UK Azure Online Community – join today. UK Windows Azure Site Start working with Windows Azure

Hello, I downloaded all jar files for Spring Security 3.0 and added them to my lib folder in Netbeans 6.8. Then i added Spring framework to my web application and tried to modify applicationContext.xml as given in the pdf that shipped with Spring Security. • Trying to link http://www.example.com to my shopping cart on https://secure.example.com

    - by Pickledegg
Heres my saga - I'm trying to link http://www.example.com to my shopping cart on https://secure.example.com, but it doesnt seem to be linking correctly. Heres my code: <!--Google Analytics --> <script type="text/javascript"> var gaJsHost = (("https:" == document.location.protocol) ? "https://ssl." : "http://www."); document.write(unescape("%3Cscript src='" + gaJsHost + "google-analytics.com/ga.js' type='text/javascript'%3E%3C/script%3E")); </script> <script type="text/javascript"> try { var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker("UA-125xxxxx-1"); //start cart link pageTracker._setDomainName(".example.com"); pageTracker._setAllowHash(false); //end cart link pageTracker._trackPageview(); } catch(err) {}</script> <!--Google Analytics --> Notice the two lines: pageTracker._setDomainName(".example.com"); pageTracker._setAllowHash(false); I added the first line so I could share the cookies between site and cart, and added the setAllowHash to make sure it used the utm values from the cookie, and didnt 'recreate' them when I entered https://secure.example.com. Using firecookie, it does indeed share the same cookie between site and cart, and the cookies domain is 'example.com'. I'm pretty sure though that if it was working right, all my utmz, utma values etc should be copied over and remain the same, but they're changing. I've copied all the params that are being sent to google analytics and pasted then below. It shows what is happening from my homepage, to my product page, then into my cart all the way to the page before ordering. ( I can't practically test the final page myself without buying something, so I'll post the code from our confirmation page later if needed.) Here goes: =============================================================== HOMEPAGE - http://www.example.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- utmac UA-125xxxxx-1 utmcc __utma=1.1920057171.1269446996.1269446996.1269446996.1;+__utmz=1.1269446996.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none); utmcs UTF-8 utmdt GSM Cell Phone Rental from example utmfl 10.0 r45 utmhid 69978133 utmhn www.example.com utmje 1 utmn 1806413990 utmp / utmr - utmsc 24-bit utmsr 1280x800 utmul en-gb utmwv 4.6.5 PRODUCT PAGE - http://www.example.com/products/international-cell-phone-purchase/ ---------------------------------------------------------------- utmac UA-125xxxxx-1 utmcc __utma=1.1920057171.1269446996.1269446996.1269446996.1;+__utmz=1.1269446996.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none); utmcs UTF-8 utmdt example | International Cell Phones utmfl 10.0 r45 utmhid 276151647 utmhn www.example.com utmje 1 utmn 155808433 utmp /products/international-cell-phone-purchase/ utmr 0 utmsc 24-bit utmsr 1280x800 utmul en-gb utmwv 4.6.5 CART STAGE 1 - https://secure.example.com/checkout/viewbasket.php ------------------------------------------------ utmac UA-125xxxxx-1 utmcc __utma=60286578.994269564.1269447144.1269447144.1269447144.1;+__utmz=60286578.1269447144.1.1.utmcsr=example.com|utmccn=(referral)|utmcmd=referral|utmcct=/products/international-cell-phone-purchase/; utmcn 1 utmcs UTF-8 utmdt Your Cart utmfl 10.0 r45 utmhid 1802074903 utmhn secure.example.com utmje 1 utmn 1621444199 utmp 1-reviewcart utmr http://www.example.com/products/international-cell-phone-purchase/ utmsc 24-bit utmsr 1280x800 utmul en-gb utmwv 4.6.5 CART STAGE 2 - https://secure.example.com/checkout/docheckout.php ------------------------------------------------ utmac UA-125xxxxx-1 utmcc __utma=60286578.994269564.1269447144.1269447144.1269447144.1;+__utmz=60286578.1269447144.1.1.utmcsr=example.com|utmccn=(referral)|utmcmd=referral|utmcct=/products/international-cell-phone-purchase/; utmcs UTF-8 utmdt Checkout utmfl 10.0 r45 utmhid 871670520 utmhn secure.example.com utmje 1 utmn 1153927228 utmp 2-checkout utmr 0 utmsc 24-bit utmsr 1280x800 utmul en-gb utmwv 4.6.5 CART STAGE 3 - https://secure.example.com/checkout/doreview.php ---------------------------------------------- utmac UA-125xxxxx-1 utmcc __utma=60286578.994269564.1269447144.1269447144.1269447144.1;+__utmz=60286578.1269447144.1.1.utmcsr=example.com|utmccn=(referral)|utmcmd=referral|utmcct=/products/international-cell-phone-purchase/; utmcs UTF-8 utmdt Checkout utmfl 10.0 r45 utmhid 1731598159 utmhn secure.example.com utmje 1 utmn 1442257710 utmp 3-checkoutreview utmr 0 utmsc 24-bit utmsr 1280x800 utmul en-gb utmwv 4.6.5 =============================================================== As you can see, the utma values are not being preserved, so it looks like a config issue. • nginx redirect TLD to TLD with virtual folder (example.com => example.com/test)

    - by Amund
Im running nginx and in the config file I need to always have the domain example.com redirect to example.com/test. I tried various methods for achieving this but I always got a redirect error. What is the correct way to do this? nginx.conf snippet: server { server_name example.com www.example.com; location / { rewrite ^.+ /test permanent; } } server { listen 80; server_name www.example.com example.com; location / { root /var/www/apps/example/current/public; passenger_enabled on; rails_env production; } } Thanks!

  • nginx www.domain.com vs domain.com virtualhost

    - by m33lky
    I have an http block where I include virtual hosts for the different domains hosted on the same server. For each virtual host I do: listen domain.com:80; Now, domain2.com works fine. However, when I do www.domain2.com it shows the page for domain1.com! How to properly configure nginx? Does this have something to do whether www is a CNAME or an A record? Update: It looks like you can do the following: listen 80; server_name domain.com www.domain.com;

  • 12.04: Apt-Get Update: failure to fetch; can't connect to any sources

    - by weberc2
I realize there are dozens of "apt-get update: failure to fetch" questions (I read through all I could find), but my present circumstance is unique to 12.04 and it affects all sources; not just launchpad. Additionally, I've tried several different servers in Europe and the U.S. as well as the "main server" (wherever that is) and they all yield the same result: I can't connect to any software sources. Additionally, I'm fairly certain the problem stems from the upgrade from 11.10-12.04 I performed this morning, as updates worked immediately before. Updates from the Update Manager worked fine and I could download some things (mutter) from the Software Center without incident, which makes me think I can connect to some subset of the Ubuntu servers (however, several other Ubuntu servers--like extras--and some canonical servers are listed as 'unable to connect'). • serving a blog at domain.com/blog when dns for domain.com is pointing elsewhere

    - by user143715
there is a blog hosted on one machine (apache) (currently at blog.domain.com) and we'd like to move it to domain.com/blog. dns for domain.com is pointed at an haproxy machine load balancing a few nginx app servers. the machine hosting the blog is not behind that load balancer. considering i have complete control over the configuration of everything, whats the most straightforward way to get this to submit to my will and have the blog served from domain.com/blog?

  • Getting mydomain.com/subdomain to resolve to subdomain.mydomain.com

I have content on subdomain1.mydomain.com which can't reside on mydomain.com/subdomain1. Nevertheless, all my other content resides in folders of the mydomain.com/subdomain* type. For the sake of consistency, I'd like the content actually located at subdomain1.mydomain.com to appear as if it were on mydomain.com/subdomain1 — Is there any way, using .htaccess, that I can achieve this, bearing in mind that: (1) the subdomain itself also has a nested permalink structure, meaning that there are additional folders in the directory structure of the subdomain; (2) I want the browser to display the address as mydomain/subdomain1 after the redirect.

  • Redirect example.com to www.example.com VPS & Apache2

    - by Thomas Buckley
I have a VPS and a domain name registered with the provider. When I enter www.example.com my site is displayed correctly, but entering example.com does not work. I am able to ping www.example.com. I added the following line to my apache2 default vhosts file: ServerName example.com ServerAlias www.example.com But this did not work. The VPS is a Debian5 OS. Any ideas? Note: There is no option via a provided control panel to add this, it's a basic package I purchased I know this post answers it but there are no extra comments and I'd like to know if it's the best way: way to redirect page to www using virtual host configuration in sites-available for apache2? Thanks

  • IIS7 301 permanent redirect from billarga.com.au to billarga.com

    - by Rick
Using IIS7 GUI, I have placed a 301 permanent redirection from billarga.com.au to billarga.com and left the other behaviours unchecked (want relative redirect). As soon as I apply the redirect on the .com.au, the same redirect appears for the .com domain. Why? I don't understand why changing one will do the same to the other. Has it got something to do with both using the same bindings? Each domain uses two bindings, one with www and the other without. My aim is to condense all traffic and google listings to the one domain, but still be able to use the .com.au for appearance purposes in the url (for aussies). Any help with this is appreciated!
