    I have a custom UITableViewCell which I have created in IB. My labels display when I don't over-ride: - (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tblView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath however my content is squished. I want the height to be 120px so I have the following: - (CGFloat)tableView:(UITableView *)tblView heightForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { CGFloat rowHeight = 120; return rowHeight; } I'm not sure why the content inside of my UITableViewCell all of a sudden disappears?

  • Speeding up inner-joins and subqueries while restricting row size and table membership

    I'm developing an rss feed reader that uses a bayesian filter to filter out boring blog posts. The Stream table is meant to act as a FIFO buffer from which the webapp will consume 'entries'. I use it to store the temporary relationship between entries, users and bayesian filter classifications. After a user marks an entry as read, it will be added to the metadata table (so that a user isn't presented with material they have already read), and deleted from the stream table. Every three minutes, a background process will repopulate the Stream table with new entries (i.e. whenever the daemon adds new entries after the checks the rss feeds for updates). Problem: The query I came up with is hella slow. More importantly, the Stream table only needs to hold one hundred unread entries at a time; it'll reduce duplication, make processing faster and give me some flexibility with how I display the entries. The query (takes about 9 seconds on 3600 items with no indexes): insert into stream(entry_id, user_id) select entries.id, subscriptions_users.user_id from entries inner join subscriptions_users on subscriptions_users.subscription_id = entries.subscription_id where subscriptions_users.user_id = 1 and entries.id not in (select entry_id from metadata where metadata.user_id = 1) and entries.id not in (select entry_id from stream where user_id = 1); The query explained: insert into stream all of the entries from a user's subscription list (subscriptions_users) that the user has not read (i.e. do not exist in metadata) and which do not already exist in the stream. Attempted solution: adding limit 100 to the end speeds up the query considerably, but upon repeated executions will keep on adding a different set of 100 entries that do not already exist in the table (with each successful query taking longer and longer). This is close but not quite what I wanted to do. Does anyone have any advice (nosql?) or know a more efficient way of composing the query?

How should I code the selectCar method? I've tried a few things like: val1 = $('tr input[name=selectedCar]:checked').parent().find('#cars').html(); val1 = $("td input[name='selectedCar']:checked").parents().find('.cars').html(); val1 = $('selectedCar').checked; but I can't get the proper values. I'm using prototype, but the solution can be plain javascript as well.

  • Incorrect logic flow? function that gets coordinates for a sudoku game

    This function of mine keeps on failing an autograder, I am trying to figure out if there is a problem with its logic flow? Any thoughts? Basically, if the row is wrong, "invalid row" should be printed, and clearInput(); called, and return false. When y is wrong, "invalid column" printed, and clearInput(); called and return false. When both are wrong, only "invalid row" is to be printed (and still clearInput and return false. Obviously when row and y are correct, print no error and return true.   • Row selection based on subtable data in MySQL

    I've been struggling with this selection for a while now, I've been searching around StackOverflow and tried a bunch of stuff but nothing that helps me with my particular issue. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious. I have two tables: Measurements, MeasurementFlags "Measurements" contain measurements from a device, and each measurement can have properties/attributes attached to them (commonly known as "flags") to signify that the measurement in question is special in some way or another (for instance, one flag may signify a test or calibration measurement). Note: One record per flag! Right, so a record from the "Measurements" table can theoreticly have an unlimited amount of MeasurementFlags attached to it, or it can have none. Now, I need to select records from "Measurements", that have an attached "MeasurementFlag" valued "X", but it must also NOT have a flag valued "Y" attached to it. We're talking about a fairly large database with hundreds of millions of rows, which is why I'm trying to keep all of this logic within one query. Splitting it up would create too many queries, however if it's not possible to do in one query I guess I don't have a choise. Thanks in advance.

I am using SQL Server 2008 and I wasn’t sure if I could use the PIVOT function to accomplish this.     I am implementing "Advanced Search" kind of functionality for an Entity in my system such that user can search that entity using multiple conditions(eq,ne,gt,lt,like etc) on attributes of this entity. I am using JPA's Criteria API to dynamically generate the Criteria query and then using setFirstResult() & setMaxResults() to support pagination. All was fine till this point but now I want to show total number of results on results grid but I did not see a straight forward way to get total count of Criteria query.     I have a table with User data such as name, address etc and another table which has a paragraph of text about the user. The reason that they are separate is because we need to record all the old about data. So if the user changes their paragraph - the old one should still be stored. Each bit of about data has a primary key aboutMeID. What I want to do is have a join that pulls their name, address etc and the latest bit of aboutMe data from the other table. I am not sure though how I can order the join to only get the latest about me data. Can someone help?

  • Cursor returns zero rows from query to table

    I've created an SQLiteDatabase in my app and populated it with some data. I can connect to my AVD with a terminal and when I issue select * from articles; I get a list of all the rows in my table and everything looks fine. However, in my code when I query my table, I get a cursor back that has my tables columns, but zero rows of data.   • Optimizing MySQL statement with lot of count(row) an sum(row+row2)...

    I need to use InnoDB storage engine on a table with about 1mil or so records in it at any given time. It has records being inserted to it at a very fast rate, which are then dropped within a few days, maybe a week. The ping table has about a million rows, whereas the website table only about 10,000. My statement is this: select url from website ws, ping pi where ws.idproxy = pi.idproxy and pi.entrytime > curdate() - 3 and contentping+tcpping is not null group by url having sum(contentping+tcpping)/(count(*)-count(errortype)) < 500 and count(*) > 3 and count(errortype)/count(*) < .15 order by sum(contentping+tcpping)/(count(*)-count(errortype)) asc; I added an index on entrytime, yet no dice. Can anyone throw me a bone as to what I should consider to look into for basic optimization of this query. The result set is only like 200 rows, so I'm not getting killed there.
