  • Need to set cursor position to the end of a contentEditable div, issue with selection and range obje

    I'm forgetting about cross-browser compatibility for the moment, I just want this to work. What I'm doing is trying to modify a script (and you probably don't need to know this) located at typegreek.com The basic script is found here. Basically what it does is when you type in characters, it converts the character your are typing into greek characters and prints it onto the screen. What I'm trying to do is to get it to work on contentEditable div's (It only works for Textareas) My issue is with this one function: The user types a key, it get's converted to a greek key, and goes to a function, it gets sorted through some if's, and where it ends up is where I can add div support. Here is what I have so far, myField is the div, myValue is the greek character. //Get selection object... var userSelection if (window.getSelection) {userSelection = window.getSelection();} else if (document.selection) {userSelection = document.selection.createRange();} //Now get the cursor position information... var startPos = userSelection.anchorOffset; var endPos = userSelection.focusOffset; var cursorPos = endPos; //Needed later when reinserting the cursor... var rangeObj = userSelection.getRangeAt(0) var container = rangeObj.startContainer //Now take the content from pos 0 -> cursor, add in myValue, then insert everything after myValue to the end of the line. myField.textContent = myField.textContent.substring(0, startPos) + myValue + myField.textContent.substring(endPos, myField.textContent.length); //Now the issue is, this updates the string, and returns the cursor to the beginning of the div. //so that at the next keypress, the character is inserted into the beginning of the div. //So we need to reinsert the cursor where it was. //Re-evaluate the cursor position, taking into account the added character. var cursorPos = endPos + myValue.length; //Set the caracter position. rangeObj.setStart(container,cursorPos) Now, this works only as long as I don't type more than the size of the original text. Say I had 30 characters in the div before hand. If I type more than that 30, it adds character 31, but places the cursor back at 30. I can type character 32 at pos.31, then character 33 at pos.32, but if I try to put character 34 in, it adds the character, and sets the cursor back at 32. The issue is that the function for adding the new character screws up if cursorPos is greater than what is defined in the range. Any ideas?

I have created a custom module, however I would like to add some code near the tag (or near the opening tag) so it is guaranteed to be not nested in any tables whatsoever that might be in the template.   • Difference between the List and Enumeration

So I changed return type from List to Enumeration, in the method, instead of ArrayList, uses Vector and return vector.elements at the end of the method. It works without any error. but I did not understand why. Could someone explain Why this Enumeration worked?

The problem is that since it takes time for the AJAX request to complete, code that is executed afterward which needs variables which are in the script loaded in via AJAX.   • JSON Feed Appears to be XHR when it should be JS

    I don't get why it'd doing this with the 2nd feed (appearing as a XHR call rather than just JS [looking at it in Firefox/Firebug]). The 2nd feed has the exact same MIME type as Flickr's JSON feed, yet the PortlandOregon.gov one shows as XHR and i get a NULL callback when using $.getJSON and if i use $.ajax with a 'json' or 'jsonp' type i get nothing at all. If i do the Flickr one i get the normal "[object Object]" callback. Whats going on? Please help! This has been such a headache for about a week. And i have authorization to change the feed, but i have to request the change, so if anyone knows for absolute sure let me know that! And, to an extent, it has. The request is url encoded properly, sent to the correct page, and works fine until I insert html tags. I have checked - the 'greater than' and 'less than' symbols ('<' and '') are url-encoded properly. However, the server responds with a 500 error. It accepts any other text. Has anyone else come across this sort of problem? Is there some setting on an ASP.NET server that denies html? I can't see this being the case - there is a rich text editor on the website that I am sending requests to. This text editor performs the same request as I am, only I am doing it remotely. The rich text editor sends html to the form - I have checked that, too, using javascript. Note: I do not have the power to modify the ASP.NET server.

    I am creating an email in MFMaiilComposeViewController and if I simply create some html snippets and assign them to the message body - all is well. The resulting email (in GMail and Yahoo) looks like the original HTML I sent. [mailMan_ setMessageBody:body isHTML:YES]; On the other hand, if I also include an XML attachment, my email reader renders everything as plain text … including, the XML inlined. IE: my mail client (GMail, Yahoo) shows the raw HTHML and XML tags - including html tags that I didn't supply - ie: the html, head, body tags the iPhone provides around the content: NSData *opmlData = [[NSData alloc] initWithData:[opml dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]]; NSString *fileName = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%f.opml", [NSDate timeIntervalSinceReferenceDate]]; [mailMan_ addAttachmentData:opmlData mimeType:@"text/xml" fileName:fileName]; I pop3'd the mails to see what was happening and found that WITHOUT an attachment, the resulting html section of the email contains this block: --0-1682099714-1273329398=:59784 Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii <html><body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><div><h2 style="b while on the other hand, WITH the XML attachment, the iPhone is sending this: --0-881105825-1273328091=:50337 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii <html><body bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><div><h2 style="bac Notice the difference? Look at the Content-Type … text/html vs text/plain. It looks like when I include an XML attachment, the iPhone is errantly tagging the HTML version of the body as plain text! I tried reversing the assignments (attachment first and then body) but no luck. For what it's worth, the email looks perfect from the iPhone's sending interface. Indeed, the HTML renders correctly and the attachment looks like a little icon at the bottom of the message. This problem has more to do with what the iPhone is actually sending.

    I have 2 databases with a 2 tables with HierachyID fields. For one database I can get a dal cs file, for the other database I cannot get a dal cs file ? HBus is a database I can get the dal cs for, ... Should I do some more hinting for this query? EDIT: I should also point out that the query's where clause uses the columns in IDX_MBR_IDENTFN and no columns other than what's in that index. So as far as I can tell, I'm not skipping any columns.

  • Adding simple marker clusterer to google map

    Hi, I'm having problems with adding marker clusterer functionality to my map. What I want is to use custom icon for my markers and every marker has its own info window which I want to be able to edit. I did accomplish that, but now I have problems adding marker clusterer library functionality. I read something about adding markers to array, but I'm not sure what would it exactly mean. Besides, all of the examples with array I have found, don't have info windows and searching through the code I didn't find appropriate way to add them.
