• Retrieve object from jquery in php script

  I'm trying to rebuild an object encoded with Json but i'm not getting any value. JQuery: $.post("views/insert_tasks.php",{ clickedRows : clickrows , <?php echo "tasks:'" . json_encode($tasks) . "'"; ?> }, function(data) { }); this is the PHPcode to retrieve the object: $tasks = json_decode(stripslashes($_POST['tasks']), true); $tasks is empty after execute the code above.   I am using Linq to query my database and returning a generic IList. Whatever I tried I couldn't convert an IQueryable to an IList. Here is my code. • TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 missing repository browser in Branch/Tag "To URL" dialog?

  It seems that in TortoiseSVN 1.6.8 (on Windows), when you click the "To URL..." button in the Branch/Tag dialog, it now pops up a generic "browse for folders" dialog. It used to pop up a Repository Browser. Displaying a regular folder browser isn't much use, since you can't navigate to any of the tags/branches via the file system. Does anyone know if this is a regression or a deliberate change? Any possible workarounds (other than reverting to 1.6.7, which works fine)? Notes: I am running a repository on the local file system, which may yield different results to one going across a network. I'm definitely using an FSFS repository, so changes to BDB access via file:/// shouldn't apply.   Here are my classes: http://pastebin.com/3dc5Vb1t When I try to run BookStore b = new BookStore(); b.LoadFromXML(Server.MapPath("list.xml")); Label1.Text = b.ToString(); I get the following error: You must implement a default accessor on System.Collections.Generic.LinkedList`1[[Book, App_Code.cxsacizw, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null]] because it inherits from ICollection. The error source is XmlSerializer s = new XmlSerializer(typeof(BookStore)); When I tried to look for a solution on google, I found it that LinkedList has some problems with serialization.   Hello all, Two things: Firstly - I have version 2 of a website located in a folder named v2, and I want to redirect any traffic that is NOT a child of the v2 folder, to www.example.com/v2 The old site located in the root was created in iWeb and has a LOT of subfolders and sub-subfolders. So: www.example.com/v2 = New site www.example.com/Page.html www.example.com/category/Page.html ww.example.com/category/subcategory/Page.html = All generic examples of what I need to redirect. Secondly, and I don't know if this is possible, I want to hide /v2/ in the URL, so that visitors will just see www.example.com/page even though they are actually on www.example.com/v2/page Links are hardcoded to the v2 folder, like so <a href="v2/contact.html" Any help is MOST appreciated. I've spent hours trying to figure this out, but I'm only just learning about htaccess and regular expressions, and am totally confused. Thanks so much!

I will considar my 2D image as Left view and I want to create Right View now. I came to know that the perspective rotation (about Y axis) and perspective skews will give the right image. I know that the perspective projection is related to 3D. Basically I am new to 3D programming. Can you plz explain how to do perspective rotation abuout Y-axis. • The best way to organize WPF projects

  Hello everybody, I've started recently to develop a new software in WPF, and I still don't know which is the best way to organize the application, to be more productive with Visual Studio and Expression Blend. I noticed 2 annoying things I'd like to solve: I'm using Code Contracts in my projects, and when I run my project with Expression Blend, it launches the static analysis of the code. How can I stop that? Which configuration of the project does Blend use by default? I've tried to disable Code Contracts in a new configuration. It works in VS as the static analysis is not launched, but it has no effects in Blend. I've thinked about splitting the Windows Application in 2 parts: the first one containing the views of the WPF (app.exe) and the second one being the core of the project, with the logic code (app.core.dll), and I would just open the former project in Blend. • Rails prettyPhoto does not show photo with jquery (instead redirect to photo page)

  i do all instruction for use prettyPhoto in https://github.com/hiq5/prettyphoto-rails. and i do this to show a single photo( not gallery ) =link_to image_tag(photo.photo_url(:thumb).to_s, :alt => photo.name ,:class => "img-polaroid"), photo.photo_url, :rel => 'prettyPhoto' but still redirect to photo url and show photo, and doesn't use jQuery to show it on the current page. i check it with chrome development tools, there isn't any error. i use haml to generate views (instead erb), and carrierwave to upload photos. by the way I use twitter bootstrap. any help is appreciated.

  Hi, I hope this question isn't tagged as too generic. But this is an honest concern/curiosity I have. Are you people still supporting Internet Explorer 6? Web developers sometimes use the concept of softly degrading their projects in older browsers. When I say "older", I mean mainly Internet Explorer 6. When you softly degrade you still have to waste tons of time tryng to fit things in IE6. This is time consuming and the client usually won`t even mind asking or checking how things look in IE6. So what are you doing when your website is completely broken in IE6? Do you bother to completely fix it and eat up your time or do you simply ignore it (leave broken boxes, opaque PNG files etc.)?

• What happens when I load an assembly?

  In my ASP.NET MVC application, I have the following setup: <runtime> <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1"> <probing privatePath="bin;extras"/> I have referenced assemblies located in the extras folder in the views and they have worked perfectly (using <%@ Import Namespace="myNameSpace" %>). My questions What happens when that line is called? Where is the assembly loaded? Why is it that I can't overwrite the assembly located in the extras folder that contains myNameSpace with a newer version? (I get an error saying that the assembly is "open" in another program) Is there a way to overwrite the assembly with a newer version without having the application restart?

  I have a view between other views, the order may vary. For example: viewA on top of viewB, on top of viewC, or in another order. Suppose I have viewA, viewB, viewC, viewD and viewE A is on the top and E on the bottom. I need to replace viewC with viewZ, but I need to insert viewZ in the same index of viewC. How do I know, before removing viewC, what index it has, so I can insert viewZ using [self.view insertSubview:viewZ atIndex:?????) and it will be at the same level? thanks for any help.

• How do you handle the deletion of your model working with ViewModels and keeping them in sync ?

  Hello, these could be my entity relations: 1 Pupil has 1 Chair 1 Pupil has N Documents 1 Pupil has N Marks 1 Pupil has N IncidentReports etc... So with that sample I get 4 IEnumerable from my database put each into an ObservableCollection. Now I have 4 different Views each bound to one of those 4 collections. Lets assume I delete a single PupilViewModel in the AdministrationController which is the only View where I can delete a PupilViewModel. Now I have to inform 3 other Controller and their ObservableCollections about the one deleted PupilViewModel to keep the whole application synchronized... thats stupid somehow. Do you have any good advice on that scenario? AND it gets even worse. If I delete a schoolclass I have to sync the pupils everywhere AND the documents or incidentreports or marks... gush... o_O

  Good evening everyone, I am currently starting to dive into asp.net mvc and I really like what I see so far.. BUT I am somewhat confused about 'drop-in' functionality (similiar to what rails and it's plugins and nowadays gems are), an active community to contact etc. For rails there's github with one massiv index of plugins/gems/code-examples regarding mostly rails (despite their goal being generic source-code hosting..), for blogs, mailing lists etc it's also pretty easy to find the places the other developers flock around, but... for asp.net mvc I am somewhat lost where to go/look. It all seems scattered across codeplex and private sites, google code hosting etc etc.. but is there one (or few places) where to turn to regarding asp.net mvc development, sample code etc?   I have a WPF application which I am using to learn MVVM and IoC. The problem is that the Model used by one of the Views expects to pull one of its dependancies in the constructor from an IoC container. When working on this View in the Visual Studio designer it cannot show the design because an exception is being raised in the model. Is there a way around this? Am I pulling my dependancies in the wrong place in code or is there a way I can pass in constructed dependancies, perhaps through Constructor injection.   Is there a standard site structure format? The use of this would be for export and import into a CMS or framework to define the urls, content, metadata for a website. Something tool agnostic would be the goal. JSON, YAML, XML, whatever. Maybe something like: { 'baseurl': 'http://example.com', 'site': [ {'slug': '/', 'title': 'ExampleCo. • ASP.NET MVC 2 - Account controller not found

  Hi all, I've recently created an ASP.NET MVC 2 application, which works perfectly in the development environment. However, when I deploy it to the server (123-reg Premium Hosting), I can access all of the expected areas - except the Account controller (www.host.info/Account). This then attempts to redirect to the Error.aspx page (www.host.info/Shared/Error.aspx) which it cannot find. I've checked that all of the views have been published, and they're all in the correct place. It seems bizarre that two other controllers can be accessed with no problems, whereas the Account controller cannot be found. I have since renamed the AccountController to SecureController, and all of the dependencies, to no avail. The problem with not being able to find the Error.aspx page also occurs on the development environment. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris

  What is your most commonly used namespace in .NET. I know it will vary greatly based upon the types of projects you develop but the stack overflow audience should provide a fairly decent sample set for the types of .NET projects being developed. I'm simply interest in the name of the namespace (one namespace per answer and no one person should have more than one answer, if someone else has the same answer as you then just upvote their answer). Try to be as specific as possible (so answering System, isn't helpful). I'm after this information to help new developers focus their attention on the most common .NET namespaces...there are after all thousands of them! To start off mine is almost certainly System.Collections.Generic, I use lists of things everywhere.
