• Opening a text file in browser - error on server

  I'm trying to open a text file in my browser, when doing it from my local machine it works perfectly but when I upload my files to my web server the link to the text file no longer works and I get a broken link error from the browser. • Setting column length of a Long value with JPA annotations

  Hi, I'm performing a little database optimisation at the moment and would like to set the column lengths in my table through JPA. So far I have no problem setting the String (varchar) lengths using JPA as follows: @Column(unique=true, nullable=false, length=99) public String getEmail() { return email; } However, when I want to do the same for a column which is of type Long (bigint), it doesn't work. For example, if I write: @Id @Column(length=7) @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) public Long getId() { return id; } The column size is still set as the default of 20. Are we able to set these lengths in JPA or am I barking up the wrong tree? Thanks, Gearoid.

The problem is that when I close the dialog box and then I click on the link that triggers it, it does not pop-up again unless I refresh the page. How can I call the dialog box back without refreshing the actual page. • Algorithm for evaluating nested logical expression

  I have a logical expression that I would like to evaluate. The expression can be nested and consists of T (True) or F (False) and parenthesis. The parenthesis "(" means "logical OR". Two terms TF beside each others (or any other two combinations beside each others), should be ANDED (Logical AND). For example, the expression: ((TFT)T) = true I need an algorithm for solving this problem. I thought of converting the expression first to disjunctive or conjunctive normal form and then I can easily evaluate the expression. However, I couldn't find an algorithm that normalizes the expression. Any suggestions? Thank you.   Hi everybody! In a Silverlight 4 proj i'm using WCF RIA services, MVVM principles and EF 4. I 'm running into this situation: created an entity called Category and another one called CategoryLocale (automated using VS, no POCO). The relation between them is 1 to N respectively (one Category can have many CategoryLocales), so trough this relationship one can implement master-detail scenarios. Everytime i change a property in the master record (Category) i get a notifypropertychanged notification raised. But: whenever i change a property in the detail (CategoryLocales) i don't get anything raised. The detail part is bound to a Datagrid like this: <sdk:DataGrid Grid.Row="3" Grid.ColumnSpan="2" ItemsSource="{Binding SelectedRecord.CategoryLocales,Mode=TwoWay}" AutoGenerateColumns="False" VerticalScrollBarVisibility="Auto" > Any help is appreciated!   I'm using the FOX Toolkit and C++ to develop a GUI. I'm Having an issue with the FXFile::concat(...) command. The method looks like: FXFile::concat(const FXString & srcfile1, const FXString & srcfile2, const FXString & dstfile, FXbool overwrite = false And when I call it with the srcfile1 and dstfile being the same thing (because I need to simply add to srcfile1), the method does not work. dstfile is empty. Anyone have experience with FOX and this concatentation problem? I'm open to other suggestions as well, including boost.

I'm just thinking it would be nice to reformulate that query so it could be called like SELECT * FROM dbo.table1 WHERE column1 REGEXLIKE '[0-9][A-Z]' Is it possible to create new comparison operators using CLR Code. (I'm guessing from my brief glance around the web that the answer is NO, but no harm asking)

  I've created a new Pylons application and added a controller ("main.py") with a template ("index.mako"). Now the URL http://myserver/main/index works. How do I make this the default page, ie. the one returned when I browse to http://myserver/ ?   Some of the images are not being displayed in the web browser in android while they work fine on all other machines and mobile devices. this is an example of one of those images http://s3.amazonaws.com/itriage/logos/19/iphone_list.jpg?1261515055 So I tried to pull the image to see it if it works from code. This is what I did URL url = new URL(address); InputStream is = (InputStream) url.getContent(); Drawable d = Drawable.createFromStream(is, "src"); It works for most images but for some images including this images it gives this error D/skia (28314): --- decoder-decode returned false Why is this happening and how can I prevent this. I saw an example on the developers forum but thats when we are accessing the image directly. But what I want is the browser to handle it. So how do I encode my images on my server for the android devices to recognise them correctly?

I'm not opposed to writing something on my own, but I would think this has already been done, why reinvent the wheel?

  I have these possible bit flags. 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 64, 128, 256, 512, 2048, 4096, 16384, 32768, 65536 So each number is like a true/false statement on the server side. So if the first 3 items, and only the first 3 items are marked "true" on the server side, the web service will return a 7. Or if all 14 items above are true, I would still get a single number back from the web service which is is the sum of all those numbers. What is the best way to handle the number I get back to find out which items are marked as "true"?

  Hi I am using a CKEditor in a Jquery Dialog... and in Safari the first time it loads it works but each subsequent time it is blank and no buttons or anything else works in the ckeditor...
