  • change image use javascript DOM

    - by user289346

  • Need Advice on designing ATL inproc Server (dll) that serves as both a soure and a sink of events.

    - by Andrew
Hi, I need to design an ATL inproc server that besides exposing methods and properties, also can fire events (source) and serve as a sink for a third party COM control that fires events. I would assume that this is a fairly common requirement. I can also foresee several "gotchas" that I would like to read up on before commencing the design. My questions/concerns are: Can someone point me to an example? Which threading model to use? Should I have a seperate COM object for the sink? Should I, and how do I, protect certain memory. For example, my server will receive data from the third party control. It will save this, and in some cases, fire an event to interested clients. The interested clients will request the data through a standard method or property. I did try to research this myself. I can find many examples of COM servers that are soures, and some that are sinks, but never both. The only post I did find was this: http://www.generation-nt.com/us/atl-control-an-event-source-sink-help-9098542.html Which strongly advocates putting the sink on a seperate COM object. Any leads, tutorials or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks, Andrew

  • MVC nhibernate entiry mapping for dropdown list

    - by Rod McLeay
Hi, I have a dropdown list on an ASP.NET MVC project that I am pretty sure is not binding to my model because of my nhibernate mapping. I have tried many variations on the asp mvc side resulting in this post here. MVC side of things seems fine I believe the issue may be that my object is trying to bind, but my mapping is out of whack. My mapping is: <many-to-one name="Project" lazy="false" class="AgileThought.ERP.Domain.Property.Project" column="ProjectGUID" /> My View gives an error saying that the GUID from the dropdownList selected value is not valid. Which I think may be that it is trying to push the GUID into my related project object. The value 'fd38c877-706f-431d-b624-1269184eeeb5' is invalid. My related project list binds to the dropdown list just fine, it is just not binding to my models Project entity. Does the related Project entity need to know about its relationship? Its really just a lookup list. Many thanks for your time and best regards, Rod

  • Configure WebLogic MDB to listen to Foreing AMQ Server

    - by eliel.lobo
I'm trying to create an MDB(EJB 3.0) on WebLogic 10.3.5. to listen to a Queue in an external AMQ server. but after much work and combination of tutorials i get the followin error when deployin on WwebLogic. [EJB:015027]The Message-Driven EJB is transactional but JMS connection factory referenced by the JNDI name: ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory is not a JMS XA connection factory. Here is a brief of the work i have done: I have added the corresponding libraries to my WLS classpath (following thos tuturial http://amadei.com.br/blog/index.php/connecting-weblogic-and-activemq) and I have created the corresponding JMS Modules as indicated in the tutorial. As connection factory I have used ActiveMQConnectionFactory initially and ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory later, I also ignome the jms. notation an just put plain names as testQueue. Then create a simple MDB whit the following structure. I explicitly defined "connectionFactoryJndiName" property because otherwise it assumes a WebLogic connection factory which is not found an then raises an error. @MessageDriven( activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destination", propertyValue = "testQueue"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "connectionFactoryJndiName", propertyValue = "ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory") }, mappedName = "testQueue") public class ROMELReceiver implements MessageListener { /** * Default constructor. */ public ROMELReceiver() { // TODO Auto-generated constructor stub } /** * @see MessageListener#onMessage(Message) */ public void onMessage(Message message) { System.out.println("Message received"); } } At this point I'm stuck with the error mentioned above. Even though I use ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory instead of simply ActiveMQConnectionFactory, JNDI resources tree in web logic server shows org.apache.activemq.ActiveMQConnectionFactory as class for my configured connection factory. am i missing something? or is this just a completely wrong way to connect WebLogic whith AMQ? Thanks in advance.

  • How to get around the jslint error 'Don't make functions within a loop.'

    - by Ernelli
I am working on making all of our JS code pass through jslint, sometimes with a lot of tweaking with the options to get legacy code pass for now on with the intention to fix it properly later. There is one thing that jslint complains about that I do not have a workround for. That is when using constructs like this, we get the error 'Don't make functions within a loop.' for (prop in newObject) { // Check if we're overwriting an existing function if (typeof newObject[prop] === "function" && typeof _super[prop] === "function" && fnTest.test(newObject[prop])) { prototype[prop] = (function (name, func) { return function () { var result, old_super; old_super = this._super; this._super = _super[name]; result = func.apply(this, arguments); this._super = old_super; return result; }; })(prop, newObject[prop]); } This loop is part of a JS implementation of classical inheritance where classes that extend existing classes retain the super property of the extended class when invoking a member of the extended class. Just to clarify, the implementation above is inspired by this blog post by John Resig. But we also have other instances of functions created within a loop. The only workaround so far is to exclude these JS files from jslint, but we would like to use jslint for code validation and syntax checking as part of our continuous integration and build workflow. Is there a better way to implement functionality like this or is there a way to tweak code like this through jslint?

  • SQLAlchemy DetachedInstanceError with regular attribute (not a relation)

    - by haridsv
I just started using SQLAlchemy and get a DetachedInstanceError and can't find much information on this anywhere. I am using the instance outside a session, so it is natural that SQLAlchemy is unable to load any relations if they are not already loaded, however, the attribute I am accessing is not a relation, in fact this object has no relations at all. I found solutions such as eager loading, but I can't apply to this because this is not a relation. I even tried "touching" this attribute before closing the session, but it still doesn't prevent the exception. What could be causing this exception for a non-relational property even after it has been successfully accessed once before? Any help in debugging this issue is appreciated. I will meanwhile try to get a reproducible stand-alone scenario and update here. Update: This is the actual exception message with a few stacks: File "/home/hari/bin/lib/python2.6/site-packages/SQLAlchemy-0.6.1-py2.6.egg/sqlalchemy/orm/attributes.py", line 159, in __get__ return self.impl.get(instance_state(instance), instance_dict(instance)) File "/home/hari/bin/lib/python2.6/site-packages/SQLAlchemy-0.6.1-py2.6.egg/sqlalchemy/orm/attributes.py", line 377, in get value = callable_(passive=passive) File "/home/hari/bin/lib/python2.6/site-packages/SQLAlchemy-0.6.1-py2.6.egg/sqlalchemy/orm/state.py", line 280, in __call__ self.manager.deferred_scalar_loader(self, toload) File "/home/hari/bin/lib/python2.6/site-packages/SQLAlchemy-0.6.1-py2.6.egg/sqlalchemy/orm/mapper.py", line 2323, in _load_scalar_attributes (state_str(state))) DetachedInstanceError: Instance <ReportingJob at 0xa41cd8c> is not bound to a Session; attribute refresh operation cannot proceed The partial model looks like this: metadata = MetaData() ModelBase = declarative_base(metadata=metadata) class ReportingJob(ModelBase): __tablename__ = 'reporting_job' job_id = Column(BigInteger, Sequence('job_id_sequence'), primary_key=True) client_id = Column(BigInteger, nullable=True) And the field client_id is what is causing this exception with a usage like the below: Query: jobs = session \ .query(ReportingJob) \ .filter(ReportingJob.job_id == job_id) \ .all() if jobs: # FIXME(Hari): Workaround for the attribute getting lazy-loaded. jobs[0].client_id return jobs[0] This is what triggers the exception later out of the session scope: msg = msg + ", client_id: %s" % job.client_id

  • Status Code from FTPWebRequest GetResponse method

    - by nick
This is slightly tricky. I am uploading files to FTP asynchronously. After uploading each file I am checking the status of the upload operation for that file. This can be done with StatusCode property of the FtpWebResponse object for that request. The code snippet is as give below. System.IO.FileStream fs = System.IO.File.Open(fileName, System.IO.FileMode.Open); while ((iWork = fs.Read(buf, 0, buf.Length)) > 0) requestStream.Write(buf, 0, iWork); requestStream.Close(); FtpWebResponse wrRet = ((FtpWebResponse)state.Request.GetResponse()); There are about 37 StatusCode values as per msdn. I am unaware as to which of these status code values will assure that the file is uploaded successfully. Some of them I used in my code to check for success are : wrRet.StatusCode == FtpStatusCode.CommandOK wrRet.StatusCode == FtpStatusCode.ClosingData wrRet.StatusCode == FtpStatusCode.ClosingControl wrRet.StatusCode == FtpStatusCode.ConnectionClosed wrRet.StatusCode == FtpStatusCode.FileActionOK wrRet.StatusCode == FtpStatusCode.FileStatus But I am unaware of the rest. I need to be sure about these codes because based on the failure or success of the upload operation I have other dependant operations to be carried out. A wrong condition can affect the remaining code. Another thought that crossed my mind was to simply put the above code into a try..catch and not depend on these status codes. With this I would not be depending on the status codes and assuming that any failure will always be directed to the catch block. Kindly let me know if this is the right way. Thanks in advance.

  • List of objects or parallel arrays of properties?

    - by Headcrab
The question is, basically: what would be more preferable, both performance-wise and design-wise - to have a list of objects of a Python class or to have several lists of numerical properties? I am writing some sort of a scientific simulation which involves a rather large system of interacting particles. For simplicity, let's say we have a set of balls bouncing inside a box so each ball has a number of numerical properties, like x-y-z-coordinates, diameter, mass, velocity vector and so on. How to store the system better? Two major options I can think of are: to make a class "Ball" with those properties and some methods, then store a list of objects of the class, e. g. [b1, b2, b3, ...bn, ...], where for each bn we can access bn.x, bn.y, bn.mass and so on; to make an array of numbers for each property, then for each i-th "ball" we can access it's 'x' coordinate as xs[i], 'y' coordinate as ys[i], 'mass' as masses[i] and so on; To me it seems that the first option represents a better design. The second option looks somewhat uglier, but might be better in terms of performance, and it could be easier to use it with numpy and scipy, which I try to use as much as I can. I am still not sure if Python will be fast enough, so it may be necessary to rewrite it in C++ or something, after initial prototyping in Python. Would the choice of data representation be different for C/C++? What about a hybrid approach, e.g. Python with C++ extension?

  • Grouping Collection seperating numeric 5 from String "5"

    - by invertedSpear
BackGround: I have an advanced data grid. The data provider for this ADG is an ArrayCollection. There is a grouping collection on an ID field of this AC. Example of a couple items within this AC the AC var name is "arcTemplates": (mx.collections::ArrayCollection)#0 filterFunction = (null) length = 69 list = (mx.collections::ArrayList)#1 length = 69 source = (Array)#2 [0] (Object)#3 abbreviation = "sore-throat" insertDate = "11/16/2009" name = "sore throat" templateID = 234 templateType = "New Problem" templateTypeID = 1 [32] (Object)#35 abbreviation = 123 insertDate = "03/08/2010" name = 123 templateID = 297 templateType = "New Problem" templateTypeID = 1 [55] (Object)#58 abbreviation = 1234 insertDate = "11/16/2009" name = 1234 templateID = 227 templateType = "Exam" templateTypeID = 5 [56] (Object)#59 abbreviation = "breast only" insertDate = "03/15/2005" name = "breast exam" templateID = 195 templateType = "Exam" templateTypeID = 5 Example of Flex code leading to the Grouping: <mx:AdvancedDataGrid displayItemsExpanded="true" id="gridTemplates"> <mx:dataProvider> <mx:GroupingCollection id="gc" source="{arcTemplates}"> <mx:Grouping > <mx:GroupingField name="templateTypeID" compareFunction="gcSort"> GC sort function: public function gcSort(a:Object, b:Object):int{ return ObjectUtil.stringCompare(String(a.templateTypeID + a.name).toLowerCase(), String(b.templateTypeID + b.name).toLowerCase()); } Problem: In my AC example there are a few items, items 0, 32 and 56 properly sort and group to their templateTypeID, but item 55 does something weird. It seems to sort/group on the numeric 5 instead of the string "5". Gets stranger. If I change the name property to contain text (so 1234x) it then correctly sorts/groups to the string "5" Question: What is going on here and how do I fix it?

  • Possible bug in ASP.net UpdatePanel control?

    - by Ben Robinson
I have come across what seems to be an annoying bug with asp.net UpdatePanels in 2 seperate projects. If you have some kind of autopostback enabled control that can cause all of the controls in the update panel to have visible=false set, resulting in an empty update panel. When you change the autopostback control back to the postion that would re enable all of the controls in the update panel, it simply does not make a call back to the server and the update panel does not update. If you do anything else that makes a call back on the same page, then the update panel contents magically appear. It is as if asp.net has decided the update panel is empty so there is no point maikng a callback, even though making the call back would fill the updatepanel with content. The only way round this is to add a style of display:none to the controls instead of setting visible=false property. Then it works fine. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is it a bug as i suspect or is it likely i am doing soemthing wrong? I haven't got time to post example code at the moment as the code i am using is too wrapped up in other unrealted things, if people think it would help i will create a simple example and post it when I get time.

  • Mimic.js handle fault response

    - by nikolas
i use mimic.js regarding a project that i m developing.. the issue that i face, is if there is a fault response from the webservice, mimic, doesn't handle it, and the browser remains "awaiting" for a response, that has actually been back, but hasn't been handled by mimic.. to be more specific, one typical fault response is the following.. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <methodResponse> <fault> <value> <struct> <member> <name>faultCode</name><value><int>104</int></value> </member> <member> <name>faultString</name><value><string>Invalid Input Parameters</string></value> </member> </struct></value></fault></methodResponse> and chrome console get me the error mimic.js:11 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'childNodes' of null any suggestions on how to handle "fault" responses? mimic.js hasn't been altered at all.. also tried to bypass the fact that mimic can't handle the fault, by trying to use the isFault flag, in the if statement, with no success either.. isFault is supposed to get a boolean value, i guess true/false?

  • Methods for Lazy Initialization with properties

    - by Stuart Pegg
I'm currently altering a widely used class to move as much of the expensive initialization from the class constructor into Lazy Initialized properties. Below is an example (in c#): Before: public class ClassA { public readonly ClassB B; public void ClassA() { B = new ClassB(); } } After: public class ClassA { private ClassB _b; public ClassB B { get { if (_b == null) { _b = new ClassB(); } return _b; } } } There are a fair few more of these properties in the class I'm altering, and some are not used in certain contexts (hence the Laziness), but if they are used they're likely to be called repeatedly. Unfortunately, the properties are often also used inside the class. This means there is a potential for the private variable (_b) to be used directly by a method without it being initialized. Is there a way to make only the public property (B) available inside the class, or even an alternative method with the same initialized-when-needed? This is reposted from Programmers (not subjective enough apparently): http://programmers.stackexchange.com/questions/34270/best-methods-for-lazy-initialization-with-properties

  • Programatic re-evalutation of MVVM command's "can execute" state

    - by dzs
Hello! I'm writing a WPF application using the MVVM pattern, based on the following article: WPF Apps With The Model-View-ViewModel Design Pattern I have two buttons on my View with the buttons' "Command" property bound (with data binding) to a given instance of the RelayCommand class (see "Figure 3 The RelayCommand Class" from the article above). The RelayCommand class has support for checking whether the given command can be executed. WPF automatically disables buttons whose command cannot be executed. Each of my commands (in the ViewModel class) start a background operation, and the command cannot be executed again until the background operation is finished. The RelayCommand instances have information whether the background operation is still working or it is finished. My problem is the following: after pressing the any of the buttons, the buttons automaticaly go disabled (which is OK) because the background operation started and the command cannot be executed until it is finished, but after the operation had finished, the buttons don't go enabled automatically because their command's "can be executed" predicate is not automatically reevaluated. The reevaluation can be manually triggered by having the application loose and regain focus (by pressing ALT+TAB). After doing this trick, the buttons get enabled once again. How can I programatically reevaluate the buttons' command's "can execute" state?

  • Hibernate triggering constraint violations using orphanRemoval

    - by ptomli
I'm having trouble with a JPA/Hibernate (3.5.3) setup, where I have an entity, an "Account" class, which has a list of child entities, "Contact" instances. I'm trying to be able to add/remove instances of Contact into a List<Contact> property of Account. Adding a new instance into the set and calling saveOrUpdate(account) persists everything lovely. If I then choose to remove the contact from the list and again call saveOrUpdate, the SQL Hibernate seems to produce involves setting the account_id column to null, which violates a database constraint. What am I doing wrong? The code below is clearly a simplified abstract but I think it covers the problem as I'm seeing the same results in different code, which really is about this simple. SQL: CREATE TABLE account ( INT account_id ); CREATE TABLE contact ( INT contact_id, INT account_id REFERENCES account (account_id) ); Java: @Entity class Account { @Id @Column public Long id; @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL, orphanRemoval = true) @JoinColumn(name = "account_id") public List<Contact> contacts; } @Entity class Contact { @Id @Column public Long id; @ManyToOne(optional = false) @JoinColumn(name = "account_id", nullable = false) public Account account; } Account account = new Account(); Contact contact = new Contact(); account.contacts.add(contact); saveOrUpdate(account); // some time later, like another servlet request.... account.contacts.remove(contact); saveOrUpdate(account); Result: UPDATE contact SET account_id = null WHERE contact_id = ? Edit #1: It might be that this is actually a bug http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-5091

  • Loading a UITableView From A Nib

    - by Garry
Hi, I keep getting a crash when loading a UITableView. I am trying to use a cell defined in a nib file. I have an IBOutlet defined in the view controller header file: UITableViewCell *jobCell; @property (nonatomic, assign) IBOutlet UITableViewCell *jobCell; This is synthesised in the implementation file. I have a UITableViewCell created in IB and set it's identifier to JobCell. Here is the cellForRowAtIndexPath method: - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { static NSString *cellIdentifier = @"JobCell"; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:cellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { [[NSBundle mainBundle] loadNibNamed:@"JobsRootViewController" owner:self options:nil]; cell = jobCell; self.jobCell = nil; } // Get this job Job *job = [fetchedResultsController objectAtIndexPath:indexPath]; // Job title UILabel *jobTitle; jobTitle = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:tagJobTitle]; jobTitle.text = job.title; // Job due date UILabel *dueDate; dueDate = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:tagJobDueDate]; dueDate.text = [self.dateFormatter stringFromDate:job.dueDate]; // Notes icon UIImageView *notesImageView; notesImageView = (UIImageView *)[cell viewWithTag:tagNotesImageView]; if ([job.notes length] > 0) { // This job has a note attached to it - show the notes icon notesImageView.hidden = NO; } else { // Hide the notes icon notesImageView.hidden = YES; } // Job completed button // Return the cell return cell; } When I run the app - I get a hard crash and the console reports the following: objc[1291]: FREED(id): message style sent to freed object=0x4046400 I have hooked up all the outlets in IB correctly. What is the issue? Thanks,

  • Unity to dispose of object

    - by Johan Levin
Is there a way to make Unit dispose property-injected objects as part of the Teardown? The background is that I am working on an application that uses ASP.NET MVC 2, Unity and WCF. We have written our own MVC controller factory that uses unity to instantiate the controller and WCF proxies are injected using the [Dependency] attribute on public properties of the controller. At the end of the page life cycle the ReleaseController method of the controller factory is called and we call IUnityContainer.Teardown(theMvcController). At that point the controller is disposed as expected but I also need to dispose the injected wcf-proxies. (Actually I need to call Close and/or Abort on them and not Dispose but that is a later problem.) I could of course override the controllers' Dispose methods and clean up the proxies there, but I don't want the controllers to have to know about the lifecycles of the injected interfaces or even that they refer to WCF proxies. If I need to write code myself for this - what would be the best extension point? I'd appreciate any pointer.

  • Workaround for basic syntax not being parsed.

    - by Mark Tomlin
I want to have a class property that allow for an expression to take place on the right side of the equals sign. All versions of PHP choke on the following code, but it is written in this way to allow for easier extendibility in the future. /* Example SDK Class */ class SDK { /* Runtime Option Flags */ // Strings # 0: Makes no change to the strings. var $STRING_NONE = (1 << 0); # 1: Removes color codes from the string. var $STRING_STRIP_COLOR = (1 << 1); # 2: Removes language codes from the string. var $STRING_STRIP_LANG = (1 << 2); # 3: Removes all formatting from the string. var $STRING_STRIP = SELF::STRING_STRIP_COLOR & SELF::STRING_STRIP_LANG; # 4: Converts color codes to HTML & UTF-8. var $STRING_HTML = (1 << 3); # 8: Converts color codes to ECMA-48 escape color codes & UTF-8. var $STRING_CONSOLE = (1 << 4); # 16: Changes player names only. var $STRING_NAMES = (1 << 5); # 32: Changes host names only. var $STRING_HOSTS = (1 << 6); function SDK($fString = SELF::STRING_HTML & SELF::STRING_NAMES & SELF_HOST) { // constructor code. } } $SDK &= new SDK(SDK::STRING_NONE); (1 << 0) seems like very basic syntax to me, and is not fathomable why PHP would not allow for such a thing. Can anyone think of a work around that would maintain readability and future expandability of the following code?

  • How to know if a graphics card provides hardware rendering for wpf

    - by happyclicker
I have to run a wpf-app in an environment that has all the same dell-pc's with an intel gma 3000 graphics chip (onbard, Q963/Q965). The app renders only with software rendering (Stated so by the RenderCapability.Tier-property (it says the rendering tier is 0!) and I also see this with Perforator). On all of this machines, DirectX 9c is installed and DXDiag states on many but not on all of this machines, that Direct-3d and Direct-Draw-acceleration is activated. I checked also the registry if the setup of these machines disabled wpf-hw rendering but that's also not the case. On one machine I also updated the video-driver and dx with no success. I found a lot of ressources that say, that directX must be installed and active, so that wpf does not use its own software renderer but uses the DirectX HW-Rendering. But on the above machines, DX9c is installed but there is no hw rendering. May it be that wpf uses dx-graphicscards but does the communication with the graphics card direct and not over dx? How can I find out if a specific graphics-chip has to support hardware rendering for wpf or not. The statement that the graphics card must support dx 9c seems not to be the only condition. The second question is, if wpf renders through dx, is this done through direct-3d or is direct-draw used. Is there any good documentation on this topic?

  • How to log correct context with Threadpool threads using log4net?

    - by myotherme
I am trying to find a way to log useful context from a bunch of threads. The problem is that a lot of code is dealt with on Events that are arriving via threadpool threads (as far as I can tell) so their names are not in relation to any context. The problem can be demonstrated with the following code: class Program { private static readonly log4net.ILog log = log4net.LogManager.GetLogger(System.Reflection.MethodBase.GetCurrentMethod().DeclaringType); static void Main(string[] args) { new Thread(TestThis).Start("ThreadA"); new Thread(TestThis).Start("ThreadB"); Console.ReadLine(); } private static void TestThis(object name) { var nameStr = (string)name; Thread.CurrentThread.Name = nameStr; log4net.ThreadContext.Properties["ThreadContext"] = nameStr; log4net.LogicalThreadContext.Properties["LogicalThreadContext"] = nameStr; log.Debug("From Thread itself"); ThreadPool.QueueUserWorkItem(x => log.Debug("From threadpool Thread: " + nameStr)); } } The Conversion pattern is: %date [%thread] %-5level %logger [%property] - %message%newline The output is like so: 2010-05-21 15:08:02,357 [ThreadA] DEBUG LogicalContextTest.Program [{LogicalThreadContext=ThreadA, log4net:HostName=xxx, ThreadContext=ThreadA}] - From Thread itself 2010-05-21 15:08:02,357 [ThreadB] DEBUG LogicalContextTest.Program [{LogicalThreadContext=ThreadB, log4net:HostName=xxx, ThreadContext=ThreadB}] - From Thread itself 2010-05-21 15:08:02,404 [7] DEBUG LogicalContextTest.Program [{log4net:HostName=xxx}] - From threadpool Thread: ThreadA 2010-05-21 15:08:02,420 [16] DEBUG LogicalContextTest.Program [{log4net:HostName=xxx}] - From threadpool Thread: ThreadB As you can see the last two rows have no Names of useful information to distinguish the 2 threads, other than manually adding the name to the message (which I want to avoid). How can I get the Name/Context into the log for the threadpool threads without adding it to the message at every call?

  • UpdatePanel Javascript Error on Adding Clientside Listbox items After postback

    - by DBMaster
Hi, I have a Dynamic list control of Metabuilder.Webcontrol inside UpdatePanel,I am adding removing Items using Javascript from the list control. It works fine Inside UpdatePanel. I have another control Gridview along with checkbox's which require postback to get populated. Once It gets populated successfully inside update without postback. I checked few rows and wanted to add them into List Control using Javascript. It says "object doesn't support this property or method" function addItmList(idv, valItem) { var list =document.getElementById('ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_MyList'); //var generatedName = "newItem" + ( list.options.length + 1 ); list.Add(idv, valItem); } function checkitemvalues() { var gvET = document.getElementById("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_grd"); var target = document.getElementById('ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_lstIControl'); var newOption = window.document.createElement('OPTION'); var rCount = gvET.rows.length; var rowIdx = 0; var tcount = 1; for (rowIdx; rowIdx<=rCount-1; rowIdx++) { var rowElement = gvET.rows[rowIdx]; var chkBox = rowElement.cells[0].firstChild; var cod = rowElement.cells[1].innerText; var desc = rowElement.cells[2].innerText; if (chkBox.checked == true){ addItmList(rowElement.cells[1].innerText,rowElement.cells[2].innerText); } } } Code Behind ScriptManager.RegisterClientScriptBlock( Me.Page, Me.GetType(), MyList.ClientID, "" & vbCr & vbLf & "window.mylistid='" + MyList.ClientID + "';" & vbCr & vbLf & "", True ) Remember my code works fine. It cannot maintain the state of List Control thats why It says Object reqiured. Can any one help me out. After Update Panel Why My javascript doesnt add Items into ListBox. Thanks In advance

  • WiX: Forcefully launch uninstall previous using CustomAction

    - by leiflundgren
I'm writing a new major upgrade of our product. In my installer I start by finding configuration settings of the previous version, then I'd like to uninstall the previous version. I have found several guides telling me how one should make a MSI suitable for such upgrades. However, the previous was not an MSI. It was not according to best practices. It does, however, in registry HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall{GUID} specify an UninstallString. Using a RegistrySearch I can easy find the command below, which I store in UNINSTALL_CMD. RunDll32 C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\PROFES~1\RunTime\10\01\Intel32\Ctor.dll,LaunchSetup "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{GUID}\setup.exe" -l0x9 -removeonly 4: I cannot get the hang of the CustomAction needed to perform the actual uninstall. <CustomAction Id="ca.UninstPrev" Property="UNINSTALL_CMD" ExeCommand="" /> The MSI logs says: Info 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action: ca.UninstallPrevious, location: RunDll32 C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\INSTAL~1\PROFES~1\RunTime\10\01\Intel32\Ctor.dll,LaunchSetup "C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information{GUID}\setup.exe" -l0x9 -removeonly, command: Anyone seeing what I am doing wrong here? Regards Leif

  • CakePHP form $options['options']

    - by James
Hey! Total CakePHP noob here. This is sort of a two fold question. In a view that is used for adding user objects I would like to use a drop down (selection) field in the form. Each user belongs to a group so when I add a user I want a drop down that contains all of the groups that the user could possibly join. Currently the group_id field is a textfield. I know how to force it to be a selection field, but I don't know how to populate the selection with the names of the groups programmatically. The Current method: echo $form->input('group_id', array( '1' => 'NameOfGroup1', '2' => 'NameOfGroup2', '3' => 'NameOfGroup3') ); I want to generate the options array programmatically though. echo $form->input('group_id', $this->Group->find('list')); This doesn't work though. I get an error: Undefined property: View::$Group [APP/views/users/add.ctp, line 8] To me this means that I don't have access to the Group object from inside my user view. How can I accomplish this? Again, I want to do it programmatically so that it updates as I add groups or remove them.

  • Generics and collections ... struggling with an implementation

    - by mattruma
    I am trying to figure out a way to leverage generics so I can make the property Value be an actual type that initialized (not sure if this is the correct way of saying it) when my collection class is created. I would like to have the syntax be something like: var list = new ListItemCollection<Guid>(parameters would go here); I have the following class: [Serializable] public class ListItem { public object Value { get; set; } public string Text { get; set; } public object DataContext { get; set; } public Nullable<bool> Checked { get; set; } public ListItem() { this.Checked = false; } } I have the following collection: [Serializable] public class ListItemCollection : List<ListItem> { public ListItem this[object value] { get { foreach (var child in this) { if (child.Value.Equals(value)) return child; } return null; } } public bool Contains(object value) { foreach (var child in this) { if (child.Value.Equals(value)) return true; } return false; } public void Add(object value, string text) { this.Add(value, text, null); } public void Add(object value, string text, object dataContext) { var child = new ListItem(); child.Value = value; child.Text = text; child.DataContext = dataContext; this.Add(child); } public ListItemCollection() { } public ListItemCollection(IEnumerable items, string displayMember, string valueMember, bool showEmptyItem, string emptyItemText, object emptyItemValue) { if (showEmptyItem) { this.Add(emptyItemValue, emptyItemText); } foreach (object item in items) { object text = null; object value = null; text = item.GetType().GetProperty(displayMember).GetValue(item, null); value = item.GetType().GetProperty(valueMember).GetValue(item, null); // Add the item this.Add(value, text.ToString(), item); } } }

  • Selenium and Firefox 9's "Will you help improve Mozilla Firefox" popup

    - by Rup
I'm trying to test a Java web app using Selenium 2.16.1. When Selenium opens Firefox, I see a band at the top of the page with message "Will you help improve Mozilla Firefox" For some reason this breaks selenium.click("id=submit"); selenium.waitForPageToLoad("60000"); which is trying to log in - it becomes a no-op, and the test fails because it's then expecting to have logged in. If I break on the click line and clear the 'will you help' band before continuing then the form submit succeeds. Is there a way to suppress this band from appearing? (I expect that would mean setting a property in Firefox's default profile - where do I find that?) Or is there a way to get Selenium to spot and dismiss this first? Thanks! I'm using Firefox 9.0.1. Solved - thanks Danny! Just in case it isn't clear from the answers and comments below: This was an issue with 2.16.1 and IMO the best solution is to upgrade to 2.17 or later.
