How to tell Facebook which div is the "content" one? (for links summary)

I have a small blog hosted on blogger.com I don't understand why, when people like or share a blog post on Facebook, the real content is never fetched as a summary. For example, for this post, the summary is the small "about me" that I placed on the sidebar, while on this other post, the summary is the first comment. It's weird, what I can do? There is a way, for example a class, to indicate the main content div?

Hi am trying to post some data on a website using CURL. The posting process has 3 steps. 1. enter a URL, submit and get to the 2nd step with some fields already completed 2. submit again, after you entered some more data and preview the form. 3. submit the final data. hi guys i need help trying to figure out why the alert box doesnt show up when i run this. im also new at programming. html i due just fine. im currently taking a php class, and the teacher thought it would be fun to have us create a form and validate it. my problem is i am trying to call the function which then would validate it. Backbone events not firing (this.el undefined) & general feedback on use of the framework

I am very new to backbone.js and I am struggling a little. I figured out a way to get data from the server (in json) onto the screen successfully but am I doing it the right/best way? I know there is something wrong because the only view which contains a valid this.el is the parent view. I suspect that because of this, the events of the view are not firing ()... What is the best way forward? Android: How to bind spinner to custom object list?

Hi, In the user interface there has to be a spinner which contains some names (the names are visible) and each name has its own ID (the IDs are not equal to display sequence). When the user selects the name from the list the variable currentID has to be changed. The application contains the ArrayList Where User is an object with ID and name: public class User{ public int ID; public String name; } What I don't know is how to create a spinner which displays the list of user's names and bind spinner items to IDs so when the spinner item is selected/changed the variable currentID is set to appropriate value. I would appreciate if anyone could show the solution of the described problem or provide any link useful to solve the problem. Thanks!

Questions: What does "bound" mean in this context? What is the difference between bound and unbound super object? When to use super(type, obj) and when super(type, type2)? Would it be better to name the super class like in Mother.__init__(...)?

I am thinking about getting one of these (PCI) to set up an internal entropy pool similar to this service who incidentally brought us fun captcha challenges. Prior to lightening my wallet, I'm hoping to gather feedback from people who may be using this device. As there is no possible 'correct' answer, I am making this CW and tagging it as subjective. I'm undertaking a project to help write Monte Carlo simulations for a non profit that distributes mosquito nets in Malaria stricken areas. The idea is to model areas to determine the best place to distribute mosquito nets. During development, I expect to consume gigs if not more of the RNG output. We really need our own source. Is this device reliable? Does it have to be re-started often? Is its bandwidth really as advertised? It passes all tests, as far as randomness goes (i.e. NIST/DIEHARD). What I don't want is something in deadlock due to some ioctl in disk sleep that does nothing but radiate heat. This is not a spamvertisement, I'm helping out of pocket and I really, really want to know if such a large purchase will bear fruit. I can't afford to build a HRNG based on radioactive decay, this looks like the next best thing. Any comments are appreciated. I will earn zero rep for this, please do not vote to close. This is no different than questions regarding the utilization of some branded GPU for some odd purpose. Answers pointing to other solutions will be gladly accepted, I'm not married to this idea.

How can I create a custom UIToolbar like component in a UITableViewController?

I have a UITableViewController. I want a "toolbar-ish" component at the bottom. I started by using a background image and a button. In interface builder, I added them to the bottom of the iPhone screen. The problem I ran into was that the background image and button scrolled with the table. I obviously need this fixed at the bottom. Not finding too much direction online, I decided to customize a UIToolbar to look how I want since the position is fixed by default. In my initWithNibName for my UITableViewController, I have: UIImage *shuffleButtonImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"shuffle_button.png"]; NSArray* toolbarItems = [NSArray arrayWithObjects: [[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithImage:shuffleButtonImage style:UIBarButtonItemStylePlain target:self action:@selector(push:)], nil]; [toolbarItems makeObjectsPerformSelector:@selector(release)]; self.toolbarItems = toolbarItems; The problem I am running into now is that the "shuffleButtonImage" is not showing up properly. The shape of the button shows up fine but it is colored white and therefore does not look like the image. Does anyone know why a "white image" would be showing instead of the actual image? Also does it sound like a good idea to customize a UIToolbar or is there a simple way to ensure a fixed position "toolbar-ish" component. To reiterate - my "toolbar-ish" component only needs to be one button at the button of my UITableView. The single button has a gradient color background that I create with an image.

Custom Buttons in Android: How to get border/edge/frame when I read the background from xml?

Hi, Using Android Shapes in xml I have defined a gradient which I use as the background for a button. This all works nice, but there's no edge surrounding the button. I would like it to look similar to the normal Android button but I need more flexibility to control the color and look. The shape is defined as follows: I would expect the border to be set in the xml. Why doesn't "stroke" fix it? Stroke doesn't seem to do anything. I checked the Android Developer spec, but couldn't find the answer there: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/drawable-resource.html I have also looked through all the properties of the Android Button, but as expected there's no such parameter, probably since it's built into the normal Android button. Btw, I checked ImageButton properties too. Can someone please help? I know there's the alternative to make an image with proper edges and use an ImageButton, but there really should be a way to fix this programmatically. Thanks! Anna

pyQt4: QWidget subclass not responding to new setStyleSheet() background colour

I am having an issue with PyQt4. I want to create a new widget within a window, and I want this widget to have a custom color. When i create a subclass of the QWidget class, and instantiate it, I am not able to change its background color through the setStyleSheet() function. When I instantiate a new QWidget object, I have no problems in changing its background color. But i dont want an ordinary QWidget object.I want to create my own subclass of QWidget. When i create a subclass of a QPushButton, I am also able to change its background color using the setStyleSheet() function. There are no error messages or warnings in the console window, it just refuses to work properly without any indication as to why. So what i would like to know is why is it that i can change the background color of a widget if i simply create a QWidget object, or a subclass of QPushButton, but not when i create a subclass of QWidget. And how can i therefore change the background color of an object that is a subclass of QWidget? Is it maybe something specific to the version of python or PyQt that i am using? Is it a bug in the library? or some flaw in the way that i am writing my code? I am using python 2.6.4 and PyQt4 Below is an example of the code that leads me to trouble. There are three widgets within the window one below the other. The parent widget is set with background color of green. Custom Forum ~ Suggestions for topics pages (eg. active topics page, unanswered topics page) +1 othe

Lets say I was to develop a small forum script, what types of topics pages would you find most helpful? I'd like to get an idea of what should be added. Viewing popular phpBB forums, they offer "Unanswered Posts", "Active Topics" and "Unread Topics". Obviously I'm already including a page to view your own topics and posts. My other question was, is it a big deal that I'm not tracking whether or not you've read a topic? I already provide the page showing all topics you've participated in... just not ones that you've "viewed". Would this be something forum users would only end up complaining about? I don't like the options available to track topics that are read/not read, that's the only reason I am not considering adding this feature at this stage. Many thanks everyone for any help.

Using T4 templates to add custom code to EF4 generated entities?

I am getting started with Entity Framework 4, using model-first development. I am building a simple WPF demo app to learn the framework. My app has two entities, Topic and Note. A Topic is a discussion topic; it has Title, Text, and DateRevised properties. Topic also has a Notes collection property. a Note has DateCreated and Text properties. I have used EF4 to create an EDM and data store for the app. Now I need to add just a bit of intelligence to the entities. For example, the property setter for the Topic.Text property needs to update the Topic.DateRevised property, and a Note needs to set its DateCreated property when it is instantiated--pretty simple stuff. I assume that I can't modify the generated classes directly, because my code would be lost if the entities are re-generated. Is this the sort of thing that I can implement by modifying the T4 template that EF4 uses to generate the entities? In other words, can a T4 template be modified to add my code for performing these tasks to the entities that it generates? Can you refer me to a good tutorial or explanation of how to get started? Most of what I have found so far talks about how to add a tt file to an EDM, so I can do that. What I am looking for is a resource that I can use to get to the next level, assuming that a T4 template can be used to customize generated entities as I have described. Thanks for your help.
