  Hi iam trying to make an Wpf TextBlock to blink. I want like when im clicking on an button then the textblock blink. How can i achive this. And what I find suspicious is the following error in my app log: .NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Failed to compile: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Binn\VSShell\Common7\Tools\VDT\DataProjects.dll . Error code = 0x8007000b In MS connect this is reported as a bug but MS is unable to reproduce the problem altough when you search the fora I'm not the only one with this problem. So any help is appreciated.

• Paste Functionality for WPF DataGrid with DataGridTemplateColumns

  Hi. I recently started using the WPF Datagrid with DataGridTemplateColumns containing the WPF AutoCompleteBox, but I'm finding trouble in implementing Clipboard.Paste functionality for these DataGridTemplateColumns. I've managed to get Clipboard.Paste working with built-in DataGridColumns via Vishal's guide here, but it doesn't work with DataGridTemplateColumns. Delving into the OnPastingCellClipboardContent method in the DataGridColumn class, it appears that fe.GetBindingExpression(CellValueProperty) is returning null rather than the required BindingExpression. • WPF / C#: Transforming coordinates from an image control to the image source

  I'm trying to learn WPF, so here's a simple question, I hope: I have a window that contains an Image element bound to a separate data object with user-configurable Stretch property <Image Name="imageCtrl" Source="{Binding MyImage}" Stretch="{Binding ImageStretch}" /> When the user moves the mouse over the image, I would like to determine the coordinates of the mouse with respect to the original image (before stretching/cropping that occurs when it is displayed in the control), and then do something with those coordinates (update the image). I know I can add an event-handler to the MouseMove event over the Image control, but I'm not sure how best to transform the coordinates: void imageCtrl_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { Point locationInControl = e.GetPosition(imageCtrl); Point locationInImage = ??? updateImage(locationInImage); } Now I know I could compare the size of Source to the ActualSize of the control, and then switch on imageCtrl.Stretch to compute the scalars and offsets on X and Y, and do the transform myself. But WPF has all the information already, and this seems like functionality that might be built-in to the WPF libraries somewhere. So I'm wondering: is there a short and sweet solution?   The context is as follows: One DexExpress AspxGridView with a server-side paging/filtering/sorting mechanism (using ObjectDataSource). I've been having problems with the filter mechanism ( see this stack ). Now, the problem I'm having is this: the client-side events get mangled between DataSource events. :O . Let me explain what happens: if I change the page (or sort/filter for that matter), then, select one row from the grid, the client-side SelectionChanged event fires well. If I change the page (or sort/filter), the event doesn't fire anymore. • Brother bPAC SDK - Examples only print after Form is shown

  Hi there We have a small Brother Barcode printer which we like to control from a WCF Service. Brother has an API called bPAC SDK version 3 which allows to print those labels. But the problem arises, as soon as we want to print from code only without showing a windows with a button on it. As an addition, this happens only if you want to print a QR-code as barcode. Standard EAN-codes seems to work. Below is a small piece of code which outputs the stuff to a bitmap instead of the printer (debugging reasons). DocumentClass doc = new DocumentClass(); if (doc.Open(templatePath)) { doc.GetObject("barcode1").Text = txtCompany.Text; doc.GetObject("barcode2").Text = txtName.Text; doc.Export(ExportType.bexBmp, testImagePath, 300); doc.Close(); } If this is called by a button click, it perfectly works. If this is called in Form.Show-event, it perfectly works. If this is called in Form.Load-event, it does NOT work. If this is called in a Form constructor, it does NOT work. If this is called somewhere else (without forms), it does NOT work. DocumentClass and related classes are COM-objects, so I guess the form setup/show process seems to do something which is not done without opening forms. I tried calling CoInitialize with a p/invoke, but it hadn't changed anything. Is there anyone out there willing and able to help me? Are there any alternatives which (also) MUST be able to print directly on our Brother printer? Thanks lot.

• .Net Windows Service Throws EventType clr20r3 system.data.sqlclient.sql error

  I have a .Net/c# 2.0 windows service. The entry point is wrapped in a try catch block yet when I look at the server's application event log I seem a number of "EventType clr20r3" errors that are causing the service to die unexpectedly. The catch block has a "catch (Exception ex)". Each sql commands is of the type "CommandType.StoredProcedure" and are executed with SqlDataReader's. These sproc calls function correctly 99% of time and have all been thoroughly unit tested, profiled, and QA'd. I additionally wrapped these calls in try catch blocks just to be sure and am still experiencing these unhandled exceptions. This only in our production environment and cannot be duplicated in our dev or staging environments (even under heavy load). Why would my error handling not catch this particular error? Is there anyway to capture more detail as to the root cause of the problem? Here is an example of the event log: EventType clr20r3, P1 RDC.OrderProcessorService, P2 1.0.0.0, P3 4ae6a0d0, P4 system.data, P5 2.0.0.0, P6 4889deaf, P7 2490, P8 2c, P9 system.data.sqlclient.sql, P10 NIL. Additionally The Order Processor service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

• jqGrid dynamic select option

  I'm creating a jqgrid with drop down columns and I'm using cell editing. I need the options of the drop down columns to change dynamically and I've tried implementing this by setting the column to be: { name: "AccountLookup", index: "AccountLookup", width: 90, editable: true, resizable: true, edittype: "select", formatter: "select" }, and then in the beforeCellEdit event I have: beforeEditCell: function(id, name, val, iRow, iCol) { if(name=='AccountLookup') { var listdata = GetLookupValues(id, name); if (listdata == null) listdata = "1:1"; jQuery("#grid").setColProp(name, { editoptions: { value: listdata.toString()} }) } }, GetLookupValues just returns a string in the format "1:One;2:Two" etc. That works fine however the options are populated one click behind - ie i click on AccountID in row 1, and the dropdown is empty, however when I then click on AccountID in row 3 the options I set in the row 1 click are shown in the row 3 click. And so on. So always one click behind. Is there another way of achieving what I need? Bacially the dropdown options displayed are always changing and I need to load them as user enters the cell for editing. Perhaps I can somehow get at the select control in the beforeEditCell event and manually enter its values instead of using the setColProp call? If so could I get an example of doing that please? Another thing - if the dropdown is empty and a user doesn't cancel the cell edit, the grid script throws an error. I'm using clientarray editing if that makes a difference. I'm not sure where to even begin with debugging this error. Any information will help. I can post all the code I have, but like I said, I'm not sure where this error is even being thrown at. Edit It has nothing at all to do with the button click event. I got rid of the method and the onclick parameter on the aspx page. Still coming up with the same error problem found Okay so this is for a school project and its a group project. Some one in my group thought it would be a good idea to wrap a form tag around this area telling it to post. Found it doing a diff with a revision on Google code.

My problem is it works fine except for the first row for the first time. When I click on it, it doesn't fire the dgData_RowDetailsVisibilityChanged event. Also, when I click on second row, firstly first row fires the event and then the second row fires it and shows the nested grid. Please help.

• Application error: fault address 0x00012afb (Expert)

  Hi, I need some "light" to get a solution. Probably there are tons of things that cause this problem, but maybe somebody could help me. Scenario: a Windows server running 24/7 a PostgreSQL database and others server applications (for processing tasks on database, etc...). There are differents servers scenarios (~30), with different hardware and windows versions (XP SP3/ WinServer, etc... all NT based). All aplications were written in Delphi7, and link to DLLs (in D7 also). After some days (sometimes a week, sometimes a couple of months), Windows begins to act strange, like not opening start menu, some buttons are missing in dialogs. And soon some applications do not open, raising a event on eventviewer: Faulting application x, version y, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.5781, fault address 0x00012afb In mean while, others applications open fine, like notepad, iexplore, etc... but SOME of my applications don't, with only event log described above. But if we do not restart system, in a few days even cmd.exe stops open, (and all other applications) with same error on eventlog. I've tried to find 'what' can cause this, but with no sucess. So, and any advice will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

• Random pauses with "Key dispatching timed out sending to <null>" when closing Android SurfaceView

  When I close an Android SurfaceView Activity, the app sometimes pauses and almost gets an ANR (Application Not Responding) message. Looking at LogCat, it appears to be timing out trying to send keys to it. I tried modifying the code to setFocusable(false) when in the onKeyDown handler for the SurfaceView, but that doesn't seem to affect this. Any other ideas on what might be causing this? • Refresh UltraGrid's GroupBy Sort on child bands when ListChanged?

  I am using Infragistics 2009 vol 1. My UltraGrid is bound to a BindingList of business objects "A" having themself a BindingList property of business objects "B". It results in having two bands: one named "BindingList`1", the other one "ListOfB" thanks to the currency manager. I would like to refresh the GroupBy sort of the grid whenever a change is performed on the child band through the child business object and INotifyPropertyChange. • How to change StartupUri of WPF Application?

  I am trying to modify App.cs and load the WPF XAML files from code behind but its not working as it should. I checked in reverse assembly that DoStartup method of App gets called after OnStartup, so technically my StartupUri must load, but it doesnt, in App.xaml startup uri is not at all defined. Note: Bug Confirmed I noticed that ShowDialog sets Application.MainWindow and when dialog ends, it sets it back to null, and because of this setting StartupUri does not work after calling Modal Dialog in OnStartup or Startup event. There is no error or exception about invalid uri or anything like that. This method works without DialogBox being called in Startup event or OnStartup, i think calling showdialog on this method causes something like its mainwindow being set to expired window and it shuts down after this.

  I'm trying to get a BroadcastReceiver invoked when the screen is turned on. In my AndroidManifest.xml I have specified : <receiver android:name="IntentReceiver"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.SCREEN_ON"></action> </intent-filter> </receiver> However it seems the receiver is never invoked (breakpoints don't fire, log statements ignored). I've swapped out SCREEN_ON for BOOT_COMPLETED for a test, and this does get invoked. This is in a 1.6 (SDK level 4) project. Following sage advice from CommonsWare I have elected to try to remove the long-living Service and use different techniques. But I still need to detect the screen off and on events.

• Mimicking the UltraGridColumnChooser's drag & drop ability

  (Infragistics 2008 Vol. 3, CLR 2.0) Infragistics's UltraGrid comes with a column chooser user control, which is simply a vertical arrangement of columns with checkboxes that toggle a column's hidden state. In addition, it allows you to pick a column and drag it directly to the grid so you don't have to manually position it afterwards. (This is particularly handy when you already have a lot of visible columns and have no clue where the new one ended up.) I'm building my own column chooser based on an UltraTree. Getting the checkboxes to behave the same wasn't an issue, but I haven't found a way to drag a column from the tree to the grid and have it accept it. This is what I think is going on: The OS X client sends a kerberos request. The KDC says, "You need to pre-authenticate. Try again" The OS X client tries to pre-authenticate (all this so far is over UDP) Something gets lost on our network and the KDC says, "Oops something went wrong" The OS X client switches to TCP and tries again. Over TCP, the KDC says, "You're using an encryption type I don't support" Note that in its padata records, the OS X client is always using "aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96" as its encryption type. However, in its KDC_REQ_BODY record it lists the aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96, aes128-cts-hmac-sha1-96, des3-cbc-sha1, and rc4-hmac encryption types. When the KDC comes back with KDC_ERR_ETYPE_NOSUPP, it uses rc4-hmac as its encryption type in its padata record. I know next to nothing about Kerberos, but it seems to me that the OS X client should go ahead and try the rc4-hmac encryption type. However, it does nothing after this. • resizing row's height in QTreeWidget/QTreeView

  Hi everyone, I have some problems with sizing row's height in QTreeWidget. I use QStyledItemDelegate with QPlainTextEdit. During editing text in QPlainTextEdit i check for changes with a help of: rect = self.blockBoundingRect(self.firstVisibleBlock()) and if text's height changes i resize editor size and need row in QTreeWidget also resizing. But i don't know how to inform TreeWidget or a Delegate about changes. I tried to initialize editor with index, that i could use in a future, but Delegate creates new editor every time and i failed to use signals. Also I used following function to catch resize event, but it' doesn't: bool QAbstractItemDelegate::editorEvent ( QEvent * event, QAbstractItemModel * model, const QStyleOptionViewItem & option, const QModelIndex & index ) How can i bound editor's size changes with TreeWidget? And one more thing, by default all items (cells) in TreeWidget have -1 or some big value as default width. I need whole text in cell to be visible, so how can i limit cells width only by visible range and make it expand in height? I want for it the same behavior as in instance a table in MSWord.
