  • Dynamically pixelate an html image element

    I'm to take an image on a webpage, and then use javascript (or whatever would be best suited) to dynamically 'pixelate' it (e.g. into 20px squares). Then, as the user scrolls down the page, I need the image to gradually increase in resolution, till it is no longer pixelated. Any ideas how I could go about doing this? I realise I could use php to resize an image and several times and just switch out the image, but that would require loading several extra images. Also, I know I could probably do the effect with flash & pixelbender, but I want to achieve it within the limitations of HTML5, CSS & Javascript if possible. Appreciate any thoughts!

  • Setting image DPI in relation to height/width C#

    Hi, I'm writing an application to send some images to a third party, and the images must be 200x200 DPI. The image is a Bitmap and is sized at 500 width and 250 height. The first time I tested the images with the third party, my resolution was incorrect. I merely used image.SetResolution(200,200) to correctly set it to 200x200. This, however, only changed the resolution tag for the image and did not properly, according to my third party technical contact, adjust the image height and width. Is there a ratio that I can use so that for each X units I increment the resolution, I merely increment the corresponding height or width Y units? I thought that I could just increment resolution without having to increment height or width. Thank you, Aaron.

    I'm working on a Django app in which I want to order prints through Shutterfly's Open API: http://www.shutterfly.com/documentation/start.sfly So far I've been able to build the appropriate POSTs and GETs using the modules and suggested code snippets including httplib, httplib2, urllib, urllib2, mimetype, etc. But I'm stuck on the image uploading when placing an order (the ordering process is not the same process as uploading images to albums which I haven't tried.) From what I can tell, I'm supposed to basically create the multipart form data by concatenating the HTTP request body together with the binary data of the image.     I've started using Eclipe+PyDev as an environment for developing my first app for Google App Engine. Eclipse is configured according to this tutorial. Everything was working until I start to use memcache. PyDev reports the errors and I don't know how to fix it: Error: Undefined variable from import: get How to fix this? Sure, it is only PyDev checker problem. Code is correct and run on GAE. UPDATE: I'm using PyDev 1.5.0 but experienced the same with 1.4.8. My PYTHONPATH includes (set in Project Properties/PyDev - PYTHONPATH): C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine\lib\django C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine\lib\webob C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine\lib\yaml\lib UPDATE 2: I took a look at C:\Program Files\Google\google_appengine\google\appengine\api\memcache\__init__.py and found get() is not declared as memcache module function.   • In Google App Engine, what is the simplest way to keep a record of items that you have put into memc

    I am starting to use memcache more frequently to avoid having to recalculate things between page requests. When the memcache periodically clears, as it is designed to do, I have to start all over rebuilding various items that I have placed in memcache. What I would like to do is create a very simple model that enables me to periodically save the items that I put into memcache based on the memcache keys that I'm using along with a datetime that is related to the data being memcached. What is the best way to do this?     I have code which generates a Cairo ImageSurface, and I expose it like so: def preview(...): surface = cairo.ImageSurface(cairo.FORMAT_ARGB32, width, height) ... cherrypy.response.headers['Content-Type'] = "image/png" return surface.get_data() preview.exposed = True This doesn't work (browsers report that the image has errors). I've tested that surface.write_to_png('test.png') works, but I'm not sure what to dump the data into to return it. I'm guessing some file-like object? According to the pycairo documentation, get_data() returns a buffer. I've also now tried: tempf = os.tmpfile() surface.write_to_png(tempf) return tempf Also, is it better to create and hold this image in memory (like I'm trying to do) or write it to disk as a temp file and serve it from there? I only need the image once, then it can be discarded.

  • Setting UITableViewCell button image values during scrolling

    I am having an issue where I am trying to save whether a repeat image will show selected or not (it is created as a UIButton on a UITableViewCell created in IB). The issue is that since the cell gets re-used randomly, the image gets reset or set somewhere else after you start scrolling. I've looked all over and the advice was to setup an NSMutableArray to store the button's selection state and I am doing that in an array called checkRepeatState My question is: where do I put the if-then-else statement in the code to where it will actually change the button image based on if the checkRepeatState is set to 0 or 1 for the given cell that is coming back into view? Right now, the if-then-else statement I am using has absolutely no effect on the button image when it comes into view. I'm very confused at this point. Thank you ahead of time for any insight you can give!!!     Hi, A mortgage page on our website is accesible by multiple links on one page. In order to determine which of the links on that same page has been clicked on, I use event tracking. All events for these links are being stored under the category: "mortgage" When I look at the total number of pageviews for this mortgage page and the total number of events for the event category "mortgage", the number of pageviews is 10%-20% higher.     Has anyone got any idea how this google code works? i got the following: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title>My Google AJAX Search API Application</title> <script src="http://www.google.com/jsapi?key=blahblahblah" type="text/javascript"></script> <script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript"> google.load("jquery", "1"); google.load("jqueryui", "1"); </script> </head> <body> <div class="ui-state-highlight"> hello world </div> </body> </html> However the <div></div> should display the error box with hello world. but it doesn't show the red background therefor the ui is not working ... What have i done wrong here?
