    Trying to do some really basic math here, but my lack of understanding of Java is causing some problems for me. double[][] handProbability = new double[][] {{0,0,0},{0,0,0},{0,0,0}}; double[] handProbabilityTotal = new double[] {0,0,0}; double positivePot = 0; double negativePot = 0; int localAhead = 0; int localTied = 1; int localBehind = 2; //do some stuff that adds values to handProbability and handProbabilityTotal positivePot = (handProbability[localBehind][localAhead] + (handProbability[localBehind][localTied] / 2.0) + (handProbability[localTied][localAhead] / 2.0) ) / (handProbabilityTotal[localBehind] + (handProbability[localTied] / 2.0)); negativePot = (handProbability[localAhead][localBehind] + (handProbability[localAhead][localTied] / 2.0) + (handProbability[localTied][localBehind] / 2.0) ) / (handProbabilityTotal[localAhead] + (handProbabilityTotal[localTied] / 2.0)); The last two lines are giving me problems (sorry for their lengthiness).   • Absolute positioning error in IE6 with dropdown list

    I have a div, that I'm using JavaScript to position, so that when someone hovers over an image, it displays a tooltip message that follows along with the pointer. (Using tooltip-0.2.js ) The problem is that when a user goes to the page in IE6, a disabled dropdown box on the page is showing through this absolutely positioned tooltip when it tries to hover over it. How can I get this dropdownlist to know its proper place? ;)

    I've install mono-runtime via apt in order to run my Mono console application on Ubuntu via SSH. However, when I run the command mono myapp.exe, It exits, with no message, and my program does nothing. If I throw the -v switch to Mono, such as mono -v myapp.exe, I get about 10k lines of output (as expected, -v is verbose), with the first few lines being: converting method System.OutOfMemoryException:.ctor (string) Method System.OutOfMemoryException:.ctor (string) emitted at 0xb7052c28 to 0xb7052c4b (code length 35) [myapp.exe] converting method (wrapper runtime-invoke) <Module>:runtime_invoke_void__this___object (object,intptr,intptr,intptr) Method (wrapper runtime-invoke) <Module>:runtime_invoke_void__this___object (object,intptr,intptr,intptr) emitted at 0xb7052c68 to 0xb7052cf6 (code length 142) [myapp.exe] converting method System.SystemException:.ctor (string) I read this as the runtime throwing an OutOfMemory exception, but the machine is under no intense load, has plenty of available RAM, and is running nothing other that system processes. I've removed and reinstalled Mono countless times, and have even run the executable on other machines perfectly fine. Am I missing something completely obvious here?

  • Overriding the default error message for a ModelForm

    Is there any way to override a error_message text for all the fields of a ModelForm's, without having to include all the field info in the ModelForm? For example, let's say I have a (very simple) model like this: People(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=128, null=True, blank=True, help_text="Please type your name.") age = models.IntegerField(help_text="Please type your age.") I don't like the cut and dry default messages, such as, "Enter a whole number.", so I'd like to change them to something a bit nicer like "Please type a number." Ideally I'd be able to add an "error_message" property in the model, but the model does not support that property. So does that mean I have to basically duplicate all the model info in my ModelForm, or is there a way around that?

    I am trying to set up event registration in a drupal site using Ubercart + the UC Node Checkout Module. I have followed the instructions provided in http://drupaleasy.com/blogs/ultimike/2009/03/event-registration-ubercart. However I seem to be unable to pass the Order ID and Payment Status back to the node. I have created a conditional action that on node checkout executes the following PHP code: I am using the following code to update the node on checkout - but nothing happens: if (isset($order)) { foreach ($order->products as $product) { if (isset($product->data['node_checkout_nid'])) { $node = node_load($product->data['node_checkout_nid']); $node->field_status['0']['value'] = 1; $node->field_orderid['0']['value'] = $order->order_id; node_save($node); } } } I know the conditional action is working because it prints dsm('hello world') messages on node checkout - however when I include a dsm($node) or dsm($product) in the PHP code, they return blank. Also when I go back to my product and click the 'Devel' tab, the 'data' string contains the following characters: a:1:{s:13:"form_build_id";s:37:"form-3ccc03345f4832c69666a89c560de940";} In this link http://www.ubercart.org/forum/support/10951/node_checkout_issue I found someone else with the same issue, but I have been unable to replicate his solution.     i am trying to compile a c-based forms api program on Linux x86_64 using command gcc -m32 -I"$ORACLE_HOME/forms/api" -L"$ORACLE_HOME/forms/lib" -L"$ORACLE_HOME/lib" -ld2f fapi.c it fails with a bunch of undefined references. $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libd2f.so: undefined reference to `sifom' $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libd2f.so: undefined reference to `idfrsti' $ORACLE_HOME/lib/libd2f.so: undefined reference to `simmal' etc... does anyone know the list of all the library files i need to add?

    i have an issue where when validation fails, i get messages like "{{count}} errors prohibited this {{model}} from being saved" and "{{attribute}} {{message}}". it looks like something isn't getting expanded correctly. i've tried adding validates_* stuff but it doesn't seem to help. i've also tried to search the web for an answer but when i add the '{{' and '}}' i get no results. what am i missing? how can i fix this? thanks, -peter

  • Only want "Required field" error to appear ONCE in ASP.NET Validation Summary

    I have a form with several fields with a RequiredFieldValidator on them. If any of these fields are not filled in I only want the message "Please enter the items marked with an asterisk" to appear once in the ValidationSummary control and an asterisk to appear next to each field. I have done this using the method here. i.e. by setting Text to "*" and ValidationSummary.HeaderText to my message. Great, but no cigar as I also have other fields with other validators e.g. a RegEx for an Email field. This means that if all the required fields are entered but the email is incorrect, the ValidationSummary with "Please enter the items marked with an asterisk" will appear along with the message for the invalid email. Crap! I then tried using a ValidationGroup called "ReqField" and have a one ValidationSummary for this group (with my HeaderText) and another for the other validators, but alas, my Submit button only allows one ValidationGroup to be triggered upon the click event. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this to work? Thanks in adavnce.

  • Rails precision error

    When I run this in my Rails application: my_envelope.transactions.sum(:amount) This SQL is shown in the log files: SQL (0.3ms) SELECT SUM("transactions"."amount") AS sum_id FROM "transactions" WHERE (envelope_id = 834498537) And this value is returned: <BigDecimal:1011be570,'0.2515999999 9999997E2',27(27)> As you can see, the value is 25.159999. It should be 25.16. When I run the same SQL on the database myself, the correct value is returned. I'm a little confused because I know that there are precision problems with Floats, but it is returning a BigDecimal. The SQL column type is decimal. Any ideas?
