  • allowing bb code but not java script

    Hello im trying to get the hang of using bb codes onto my normal php site ( not forum or anything just a normal site ) I have seen a few posts like this one http://www.pixel2life.com/forums/index.php?/topic/10659-php-bbcode-parser/ which says i need a bb parser. I was just wondering can anyone show me how i would use one ? I have a status box were users can update there status but i would like to allow bb codes but not java script. So when im doing my inserting into the db i strip the status like so.. $status= mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['status']); $status2= strip_tags($status); And that stops the java script and tags from getting though but i need the bb code tags to come though but carry on blocking the java script code is there anyway to do this ? Also then i just echo it out echo $status2 ; But just plain text shows so was just wondering if anyone knows how to let though bb code and stop java script and could some one show me how to use the bb parasher ? also need to know how to echo out the bb coding...

    Lets assume my database table structure is something like | items | weight | |============|==========| | item_1 | 50 | | item_2 | 90 | | item_2 | 45 | | item_2 | 60 | | item_3 | 40 | In the select statement, I want to show an item only for once with the highest weight also ordered by height. So the result should be : | items | weight | |============|==========| | item_2 | 90 | | item_1 | 50 | | item_3 | 40 | I tried something like SELECT DISTINCT items, weight FROM mytable ORDER BY weight DESC but it didn't work because the results are actually distinct. How can I make that selection?

    First, I wanna compare between 2 tables tb_wrapper and tb_summary to get the data in the tb_wrapper that doesn't exist in the tb_summary then save in $link. If I don't get the same data, I want to print the result $link. When I don't get the not same data, I want it to go to another process. Running multiple hosts and different projects required. Where is it better to put all the server's docroots? /var/www? /srv? /www?     I have an SQL query which returns a set of data (around 40-50 tuples). I would like to display the results 5 at a time on an HTML page using PHP. I already managed to have the right SELECT statement, but i am having problems to display the results 5 by 5 using a "more" button. Can you please help? Note that every time i call the query, the data is being randomized, so it is not possible to set limits and call the query again. I have to find the method to store the results somewhere, and then show them 5 by 5.
