• Windows 7 sound control is not flexible.

  I would like to be able to listen to music on both of two audio output devices, but Windows 7 seems to only allow me to select one or the other as the Default device. When device A is the Default device, device B is muted; and vice versa. This seems to be stunningly inflexible. Since Windows 7 is unable to do this, can anyone recommend any add-on software that would control the hardware more flexibly and thoughtfully?

• MySQL server installation problems (windows)

  Hi guys, I'm trying to install some CMS software (Wiccle). I was using XAMPP's MySQL but was getting a lot of errors (the same configuration works on another machine) so thought I'd install MySQL Community Edition to see if the proplem was related to the MySQL server. When I install and run the MySQL Community Edition service, however, it only works with my XAMPP password, and contains the same tables as the XAMPP install. Is there a common local database file where the database and login info is stored? Any help appreciated

  My anti malware software "hitman pro" uses heuristics to highlight suspicious files. It is highlighting the following three, all within c:\windows\system32 mpcdx.ax rlapedec.ax rlmpcdec.ax Hitman pro has never complained about these files before. I don't know if that's because they're newly added or newly modified. Should I be worried? P.S. I recently installed erightsoft's "super" program.

I'm just writing my own file analyzer for general purpose, which can dump JPEG, PNG, EXE, ELF, ASN.1 DER encoded files, etc. in tree style. There are so many file formats in the world that I can't handle them all. So I'm wondering if there's some software already there, with pluggable architecture and a large established file format repository?

• How can I retrieve statistics from my ghost cast server?

  I have a GhostCast server running for deploying images. I would like to have each ghost cast session to write to a file ( can be multiple text files or append to one file already there ) statistics. I know this is possible based on the options GhostCast software provides for writing to a log file, but I would like this automated for every image being backed up and restored.   I hid one of the accounts on my computer from the welcome screen by adding it to the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList I was hoping I'd be able to log in to this account by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del on the welcome screen, but Windows 7 completely ignores this.   I have downloaded file which is in djvu format. I want to convert it to pdf or some other more common format, so I can read the document from other devices (e.g. my phone etc). I found a conversion utility at Lizardtech, but when I converted the doc using the lizardtech software, every page had a watermark - which rendered the converted doc virtually useless.   I'm doing a fresh install of Windows 7 and I have an on board software RAID. I "need" to install the drivers via the infamous F6 process. Technically, it should be possible to do so after the OS has been booted, but long story short, this isn't going to work well for me. • Cannot install boot camp 3.1 drivers on windows 7

  Hi all, I have a 64 bit windows 7 install (thru bootcamp) on my 17" macbook pro, with the bootcamp 3.0 drivers. Whenever i run the apple software update to install the 3.1 drivers, it downloads and installs them, then reboots, and when i've rebooted, it's still stuck on version 3.0 according to 'about boot camp' on the system tray icon. I've tried installing several times, it keeps happening. Any ideas? Thanks
