  • HTTP 401.3 when PUT, DELETE to ADO.NET Data Service (.svc)

    I have an ADO.NET Data Service (we'll call it service.svc). When I deploy it to an IIS 6 site with Integrated Windows Authentication turned on, all requests (GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE) work fine for me, because I am an administrator on the box. However, when a non-admin user hits the service, only GET and POST requests work. When they try a PUT or DELETE request, they get an HTTP 401.3 "Access is Denied" error: "Error message 401.3: You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied (access denied due to Access Control Lists). Ask the web server's administrator to give you access to '...\service.svc'." If I give the "Authenticated Users" local group write access to the .svc file, everything works as it should, but I really don't want to do this (and don't think I should have to do this to get this to work). In fact, I'm confused as to why changing the file permissions would affect this at all, but it definitely seems to be the problem. I've found a couple of different suggestions to fix somewhat similar problems in the Microsoft forums (Here, and I would post more links, but am being told that new users can only post one link in a post), but none of the solutions help. Any help is much appreciated. I am certainly no IIS expert, and this one has got me stumped.

    I have a file delimited by space. I need to write an awk command that receives a host name argument and it should replace the host name if it already defined in the file. It must be a full match not partially - if the file contains this host name: localhost searching for "ho" will fail and it will be added to the end of the file. another option is a delete: again awk receives host name argument and it should remove it from the file if exists.   • Making a Delete and Reply button in Jquery

    this is my second post on the website. Of all other sites i tried, this one gave the most accurate and useful information! I'm in a bit of a trouble with buttons, i have a task to make an inbox and to add a "reply" and "delete" button into every instance of the message. I was indeed wandering if there is a better way to do that than forcing the HTML code into the script, because every message is dynamically generated.     I am using vba and I have two sheets one is named "Do Not Call" and has about 800,000 rows of data in column A. I want to use this data to check column I in the second sheet, named "Sheet1". If it finds a match I want it to delete the whole row in "Sheet1". I have tailored the code I have found from a similar question here: Excel formula to Cross reference 2 sheets, remove duplicates from one sheet and ran it but nothing happens. I am not getting any errors but it is not functioning.   • How do I use jquery to both download & delete files dynamically from servlet

    Is it possible to a jquery $.get() to call a servlet and use it to both download a file or update the page without reloading the page? (Or more basically, can I download a file without reloading the page?) For example, I am using a servlet that either returns a file to download of mimetype "application/octet-stream", or returns text to be update in the page of type "text/html".   • MySQL Delete Records Older Than X Minutes?

    I've searched quite a bit and found a few solutions that didn't end up working for me and can't understand why. I have a table with a timestamp column. The MySQL type for this column is 'datetime'. I insert into this table the following from PHP. date('Y-m-d H:i:s') This enters, what looks like the correct value for the MySQL date time. 2012-06-28 15:31:46 I want to use this column to delete rows that are older than say 10 minutes. I'm running the following query, but it's not working. It affects 0 rows. DELETE FROM adminLoginLog WHERE timestamp < (NOW() - INTERVAL 10 MINUTE); Can anyone shed some light as to what I'm doing wrong and why it's not working properly? Thanks. Update: It looks like my first issue is that I'm using DATETIME when I should be using the TIMESTAMP data type. I'm updating my code to do that now. Thanks.

I know I can do this to blank it: <forms xmu:key="loginUrl" loginUrl="/redirecttosignin.aspx" name="" /> But, I literally want to get the name attribute out, and leave the other attributes in tact. But how long should I keep the log files? What are "good" default values (7 or 180 days)? Or do you prefer other criteria (e.g. max. used disk space)?

    Hi, I have a join which deletes rows that match another table but the joining fields have to be a large varchar (250 chars). I know this isn't ideal but I can't think of a better way. Here's my query: DELETE P FROM dbo.FeedPhotos AS P INNER JOIN dbo.ListingPhotos AS P1 ON P.photo = P1.feedImage INNER JOIN dbo.Listings AS L ON P.accountID = L.accountID WHERE P.feedID = @feedID This query is constantly timing out even though there are less than 1000 rows in the ListingPhotos table. Any help would be appreciated.

The logic should be: if row count 0 then if deleted_row == last row then select deleted_row_index-1 row else select deleted_row_index+1 row end end i have try to implement the above logic in the commitEditingStyle event, but the selection fail. the selectRowAtIndexPath logic just don't work in this event, if i apply it in a button, it works. any idea?
