  Hi Team, I need to split the below contents by using the mobile number and email id. If the mobile number and email id found the content is splitted into some blocks.   I have a model Sensor with has_many and accepts_nested_attributes_for relationships to another model Watch. In a form to update a Sensor, I have something like the following <%= sensor_form.fields_for :watches do |watches_form| %> <%= watches_form.label :label %><br /> <%= watches_form.text_field :label %> <% end %> This is indended to allow editting of the already-created Watches belonging to a Sensor. This call spits form inputs as so: <input name="sensor[watches_attributes][0][label]" ... /> <input name="sensor[watches_attributes][0][id]" ... /> When this gets submitted, the params object in the Sensor controller gets an assoc like "sensor" => { "id"=>"1", "watches_attributes"=> { "0"=>{"id" => "1", "label" => "foo"}, "1"=>{"id" => "2", "label" => "bar"} } } For a has_many, accepts_nested_attributes_for update to work upon the @sensor.update_attributes call, it seems that that attributes key really must map to an Array. From what I've seen in the examples, the combination of has_many, accepts_nested_attributes_for, and sensor_form.fields_for should allow me to pass the resulting params object directly to @sensor.update_attributes and update each related object as intended. Instead the Sensor takes place, with no errors, but the Watch objects are not updated (since "watches_attributes" maps to a Hash instead of an Array?) Have I missed something?

Not sure if this is the correct way to use SO, but here it goes: Now it is possible delegate OpenID to your Google account (not Google Apps). No, this is not using the demo OpenID provider using App Engine. This is your REAL Google account! First you need to enable your Google Profiles. Try to view your profile and edit it, there should be an option to set your Profile URL. You have two choices there: either use your Gmail account name (without the @gmail.com part) as your profile id, or a random number assigned to you. It's up to you to decide which one to use. Either way, that id is your profile id below. Now add the following HTML code to your delegating page: <link rel="openid2.provider" href="https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/ud?source=profiles" > <link rel="openid2.local_id" href="http://www.google.com/profiles/[YOUR PROFILE ID]" > And it's done.   Hello! The code below works fine in Firefox. However in Chrome and Safari it doesn't. Essentially it returns an array of values, then selects them from multiselect.   I am using Jquery UI tabs, and have it set to toggle the opacity with each slide change. I'm wondering if there's a way to apply the opacity toggle to only a single element within each tab, instead of the entire tab. My understanding of jQuery is pretty basic, so bear with me. • PHP OOP: Providing Domain Entities with "Identity"

  Bit of an abstract problem here. I'm experimenting with the Domain Model pattern, and barring my other tussles with dependencies - I need some advice on generating Identity for use in an Identity Map. In most examples for the Data Mapper pattern I've seen (including the one outlined in this book: http://apress.com/book/view/9781590599099) - the user appears to manually set the identity for a given Domain Object using a setter: $UserMapper = new UserMapper; //returns a fully formed user object from record sets $User = $UserMapper->find(1); //returns an empty object with appropriate properties for completion $UserBlank = $UserMapper->get(); $UserBlank->setId(); $UserBlank->setOtherProperties(); Now, I don't know if I'm reading the examples wrong - but in the first $User object, the $id property is retrieved from the data store (I'm assuming $id represents a row id). In the latter case, however, how can you set the $id for an object if it has not yet acquired one from the data store? The problem is generating a valid "identity" for the object so that it can be maintained via an Identity Map - so generating an arbitrary integer doesn't solve it. My current thinking is to nominate different fields for identity (i.e. email) and demanding their presence in generating blank Domain Objects. Alternatively, demanding all objects be fully formed, and using all properties as their identity...hardly efficient. (Or alternatively, dump the Domain Model concept and return to DBAL/DAO/Transaction Scripts...which is seeming increasingly elegant compared to the ORM implementations I've seen...)

• sybase - fails to use index unless string is hard-coded

  I'm using Sybase 12.5.3 (ASE); I'm new to Sybase though I've worked with MSSQL pretty extensively. I'm running into a scenario where a stored procedure is really very slow. I've traced the issue to a single SELECT stmt for a relatively large table. Modifying that statement dramatically improves the performance of the procedure (and reverting it drastically slows it down; i.e., the SELECT stmt is definitely the culprit). -- Sybase optimizes and uses multi-column index... fast!<br> SELECT ID,status,dateTime FROM myTable WHERE status in ('NEW','SENT') ORDER BY ID -- Sybase does not use index and does very slow table scan<br> SELECT ID,status,dateTime FROM myTable WHERE status in (select status from allowableStatusValues) ORDER BY ID The code above is an adapted/simplified version of the actual code. Note that I've already tried recompiling the procedure, updating statistics, etc. I have no idea why Sybase ASE would choose an index only when strings are hard-coded and choose a table scan when choosing from another table. Someone please give me a clue, and thank you in advance.

• jQuery show based on checkbox value at page load.

  I have an ASP MVC web app and on one of the pages there is a set of Main checkboxes with sub-checkboxes underneath them. The sub-checkboxes should only show up when the corresponding main checkbox is checked. I have the following code that works just fine as long as none of the checkboxes are checked when the page loads. $("input[id$=Suffix]").change(function() { prefix = this.id; if (!$(this).hasClass("checked")) { $("tr[id^=" + prefix + "]").show(); $(this).addClass("checked"); } else { $("tr[id^=" + prefix + "]").hide(); $(this).removeClass("checked"); } }); Now I need to check a database for the values of the main checkboxes. I get the values, and can check the boxes on page load. But when the page comes up, the sub-checkboxes are not displayed when the main checkbox is checked. Also, if the main checkbox is checked when the page loads, the sub-checkboxes are only displayed when the main chcekbox is unchecked (obviously because the above function only acts on .change()). What do you all suggest I try? If you need further explanation feel free to ask. edit: btw, all of this is in $(document).ready()

• Eclipselink update existing tables

  Maybe I got it wrong but i though that JPA was able to update an existing table (model changed adding a column) but is not working in my case. I can see in the logs eclipselink attempting to create it but failing because it already exists. Instead of trying an update to add the column it keeps going.   Hi, I have a problem when I try to center the div block "products" because I don't know in advance the div width. Anybody have a solution? • forcing a child component to resize itself larger than its container

  I am creating a component that displays a variable amount of "gauges" (square tiles of content if you will), that is laid out like so: <HDividedBox id="container"> <VBox id="myComponent"> <HBox id="header"> ...header content... </HBox> <Tile id="body"> ...gauges are added to the body... </Tile> </Vbox> </HDividedBox> The body Tile has a horizontal direction. When I drag the HDividedBox to make myComponent smaller, the body component will get smaller as well, and eventually if there are too many gauges to fit horizontally, they will be bumped to the next row, and thus the smaller I make myComponent, the number of vertically stacked gauges grows. This is all well and good. The problem is, no matter what combination of settings I use, I absolutely cannot get the body (a Tile) to size itself beyond the size of myComponent, which would ideally cause myComponent to scroll vertically. Even setting the maxHeight of the body to some huge value, it will never size itself larger than it's container. Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Thanks

  Hi im kinda new in cakephp and having a lot of trouble adjusting.. Here's my biggest problem .. Im trying to pass a parameter to an action, it does load, but when my script goes from the controller to the view, and goes back to the controller again, its gone.   Hey all, I'm new to MonoRail and ActiveRecord and have inherited an application that I need to modify. I have a Category table (Id, Name) and I'm adding a ParentId FK which references the Id in the same table so that you can have parent/child category relationships. I tried adding this to my Category model class: [Property] public int ParentId { get; set; } I also tried doing it this way: [BelongsTo("ParentId")] public Category Parent { get; set; } When I call a method to get all parent categories (they have a null ParentId), it works fine: public static Category[] GetParentCategories() { var criteria = DetachedCriteria.For<Core.Models.Category>(); return (FindAllByProperty("ParentId", null)); } However, when I call a method to get all child categories within a specific category, it errors out: public static Category[] GetChildCategories(int parentId) { var criteria = DetachedCriteria.For<Core.Models.Category>(); return (FindAllByProperty("ParentId", parentId)); } The error is: "The UPDATE statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY SAME TABLE constraint \"FK_Category_ParentId\". The conflict occurred in database \"UCampus\", table \"dbo.Category\", column 'Id'.\r\nThe statement has been terminated." I'm hard-coding in the parentId parameter as 1 and I'm 100% sure it exists as an id in the Category table so I don't know why it'd give this error.   I want to execute a build.xml (Ant buildfile) from using GMaven (Maven Plugin for inline executing of Groovy in a POM). Since I have to execute the buildfile several times using the maven-antrun-plugin is not an option at the moment. I take a list of properties (environment and machine names) from an xml file and want to execute ant builds for each of those machines. I found the executeTarget method in the javadocs but not how to set the location of the buildfile. How can I do that - and is this enough?   For some reason, the retain/release behavior in the following code has me completely baffled. selectedImage = [UIImage imageNamed:@"icon_72.png"]; [selectedImage release]; This should break but does not. Why? I thought imageNamed autoreleased itself which means the release here is redundant and should break when the autorelease occurs.   I want to fetch a set of Posts w/ vote count listed, sorted by vote count (e.g.) Post 1 - Post Body blah blah - Votes: 500 Post 2 - Post Body blah blah - Votes: 400 Post 3 - Post Body blah blah - Votes: 300 Post 4 - Post Body blah blah - Votes: 200 I have 2 tables: Posts - columns - id, body, is_hidden Votes - columns - id, post_id, vote_type_id Here is the query I've tried: SELECT p.*, v.yes_count FROM posts p LEFT JOIN (SELECT post_id, vote_type_id, COUNT(1) AS yes_count FROM votes WHERE (vote_type_id = 1) GROUP BY post_id ORDER BY yes_count DESC LIMIT 0, 10) v ON v.post_id = p.id WHERE (p.is_hidden = 0) ORDER BY yes_count DESC LIMIT 0, 10 Correctness: The above query almost works. The subselect is including votes for posts that have is_hidden = 1, so when I left join it to posts, if a hidden post is in the top 10 (ranked by votes), I can end up with records with NULL on the yes_count field. Performance: I have ~50k posts and ~500k votes. On my dev machine, the above query is running in .4sec. I'd like to stay at or below this execution time.
